Frequently Asked Questions About How to Fall Back Asleep in the Middle of the Night

Is it normal to wake up in the middle of the night?

Yes, it is perfectly normal for most people to wake up a few times during the night as they transition through different stages of sleep. Historically, waking up during the night was considered a normal part of sleep patterns for our ancestors.

What are the best strategies to fall back asleep if I wake up?

The best strategies include focusing on your breathing, engaging in a boring activity, avoiding screens, and accepting that waking up is normal. These techniques help calm your mind and create an environment conducive to rest.

Who is avoiding screens best for when trying to fall back asleep?

Avoiding screens is best for anyone who instinctively reaches for their phone or tablet when they wake up in the middle of the night. The blue light from these devices disrupts melatonin production, making it harder to return to sleep, a principle we often discuss with customers at our Encinitas showroom.

How does deep breathing compare to other methods for getting back to sleep?

Focusing on deep breathing is highly effective because it directly calms your mind and engages your body in a rhythmic, relaxing pattern. This method can significantly ease tension and encourage sleep faster than mentally demanding activities.

What are the downsides of trying to fall back asleep quickly and getting stressed?

The downside of getting stressed is that racing thoughts can heighten anxiety, making it even harder to nod off again. Accepting that nighttime awakenings are a normal part of your sleep rhythm can help dissipate this anxiety.

Bottom line

Heat makes you sleepy due to dehydration, the energy expenditure of your body's self-cooling mechanisms, drops in blood pressure, and melatonin regulation influenced by sun exposure. This combination of physiological responses is your body's way of dealing with elevated temperatures and can lead to feelings of drowsiness. Frequently Asked Questions About Heat Makes You Sleepy? Discover Exclusive Tips to Stay Alert

Why does heat make me feel sleepy?

Heat makes you feel sleepy for several reasons including dehydration, your body expending energy to cool itself, and the comforting sensation of warmth leading to relaxation. Dehydration from sweating reduces your energy, and the effort your body puts into regulating temperature uses up energy, contributing to fatigue.

Is staying hydrated the best way to avoid sleepiness in the heat?

Staying hydrated is a crucial step to avoid sleepiness in the heat, as dehydration is a primary cause of fatigue when temperatures rise. Even mild dehydration can make you feel sluggish, so drinking enough water throughout the day is important to maintain energy levels.

Can heat disrupt my sleep, even if it initially makes me feel drowsy?

Yes, while warmth can initially induce drowsiness, excessive heat can disrupt your sleep, especially if your bedding or bedroom becomes too warm. It is essential to find a balance, creating a comfortable yet cool environment for a good night's rest.

How does my body's cooling process make me tired?

Your body's cooling process makes you tired because it expends significant energy through sweating to regulate its temperature and prevent overheating. This energy expenditure can lead to fatigue, similar to how strenuous physical activity can make you feel exhausted.

What should I do if I experience symptoms like nausea or dizziness along with fatigue in the heat?

If you experience symptoms like nausea or dizziness along with fatigue in the heat, you should seek medical attention as these could be signs of heat stroke. Elevated temperatures can cause a drop in blood pressure, and severe drops may indicate a serious medical condition.

What role does blood pressure play in feeling sleepy when it's hot?

Elevated temperatures can lead to a drop in blood pressure, which contributes to feelings of fatigue and sleepiness because the brain receives less blood flow. Understanding this response can help you manage your health more effectively in warm conditions.

My Douglas Mattress Findings

When you first lay down on this mattress you will notice that it immediately contours to your spine. This gives the mattress a soft feeling. You are then supported by the middle and base layer at the bottom.

Here’s a photo of my 14 lb. bowling ball to illustrate the point.

This is an all foam mattress so motion transfer is contained. In comparison to the hundreds of other mattresses I have reviewed the top layer recovers quickly for being a foam mattress making it easier to switch positions at night. You won’t get that stuck feeling that dense foam mattresses known for.

Here’s a vidoe showing how each layer of the mattress reacts.

My Douglas Mattress Recommendations

Overall I would rate this mattress on the softer end of the spectrum. I really like how the top layer feels. It is soft but recovers really quickly given how well it contours. This is what really makes the Douglas stand out from the other competition among the Canadian offerings. I think side sleepers will love this mattress because it really addresses pressure relief for your hips but especially your shoulders. Because the top layer of foam recovers fast, you don’t have to wait to get your, “spot” back when shifting positions or getting out of bed then coming back.

I recommend the Douglas to side back and occasional stomach sleepers that want quick contouring and a softer feel without sacrificing support or pressure relief. This mattress also sleeps on the cooler end of the spectrum for a memory foam mattress.

Apart from choosing normal memory foam, you can select plant-based foams to ensure natural breathability and a cooler sleep.

Latex Mattresses

It is another great option to keep dust mites away from you and ensure allergy-free sleep. The mattress is made from latex-based foams. Initially, the natural sap from rubber trees is converted into the foam. Then, the mattress makers properly mix the foam with synthetic latex to design and make the mattress.

Interestingly, latex mattresses are also known for its capability to be easily molded. The mattress also provides excellent support and comfort to the sleepers. It means that you can get proper support for your back and joints.

However, people who face the issue of latex allergy should not use the product.

Tips to Choose Hypoallergenic Mattresses

You should choose mattresses made from hypoallergenic, natural, and anti-microbial materials. Both memory foam and latex mattresses showcase excellent hypoallergenic properties.

The hypoallergenic mattresses create an unfriendly environment for mold, mildew, allergens, and dust mites. The open cell structure and extensive washing process eliminate all sorts of allergic reaction risks. Additionally, you should use organic cotton or wool barrier to cover the mattress for avoiding direct contact with foam or latex.

Similarly, you should also choose hypoallergenic pillows for a complete allergy-free sleep. The filler materials of those pillows showcase better breathability to prevent humidity and moisture successfully. You should note that both moisture and humidity attract dust mites. You can also choose pillows that can clean easily and better.

Important Things to Remember

Before purchasing the mattress, you should try it and ensure that it is fitting to your needs. A large majority of mattresses give you the free trial option for a few months. You can effectively use the trial period and ensure it fits your needs.

How to Prevent and Fix Text Neck

Text Neck

Bottom line

Text neck is a condition characterized by neck stiffness resulting from prolonged periods of looking down, common with smartphone and computer use. It occurs when the head’s weight incorrectly strains the neck due to poor posture. Addressing this involves posture correction, specific exercises, and leveraging technology to remind users to adjust their head position.

Mobile phones and computers have taken over our lives. There are several benefits that these devices help us with. From keeping us connected and entertained to letting us work from anywhere in the world, computers and phones have changed our lives in a lot of ways. However, no technology is ever without its side effects. If you’re reading this right now, you’re probably looking down at your smartphone screen or hunched over the PC. When that is your posture for a long time, it can lead to several physical problems. One such problem is known as text neck.

What Is Text Neck?

If you work long hours in front of the computer or spend most of the day looking at your phone screen, you will experience stiff neck. This stiffness in the neck is medically termed as “text neck,” something you get when your head is looking down for a long time, whether you’re reading a book or texting someone.

A large section of the population suffers from text neck today, although not many are aware that the condition has a name. Text neck can happen to anyone, whether or not you use a phone. Whenever your head is tilted forward for a long time, you will get a feeling of stiffness in the neck. You could be chopping vegetables, watching videos on your phone, or writing in bed– a tilted head gives rise to a stiff neck. This is what is called text neck.

Why Does It Happen?

We know we get text neck when our head remains tilted for a long time, leading to bad posture. But why exactly does this happen?

As common knowledge suggests, the head is the heaviest part of the human body. An average human head weighs at least 10 pounds (or 4.5 kilograms). In comparison, the neck is much lighter and leaner. As long as the head remains in the right posture, the weight of the head remains balanced on the neck. However, the pressure becomes uneven when the head is tilted, leading to various problems, such as text neck. Stiffness in the neck is often the first symptom of spondylitis and can lead to more severe spinal problems if not treated in time.

To find out how much pressure is exerted by the head on the neck, take a ten-pound ball and fix it on a stick. As long as the ball is straight, the stick finds it easy to balance the weight. The moment you tilt the ball, the stick starts to bend and crack under pressure.

Fixing and Preventing Text Neck

While your neck may not break from the pressure of your tilted head, it can lead to muscle stiffness and soreness. The digital age has made it possible for everyone to work on the computer. On the downside, the longer you spend hunched over the computer, the worse your text neck gets. In most cases, people don’t realize they have a problem. But if you realize that you have a chronic stiff neck problem, you must take steps to fix it. But the same devices that give us stiff neck can be used to prevent it.

There are several apps available today that can detect the angle of your head and ask you to correct your posture. One such app shows a picture of a head in the notification bar; when the head turns red it means you need to straighten your head, and if the head is green, it indicates good posture. These apps generally work by detecting the tilt of your phone, as that is associated with the tilt of your head. Although this isn’t a perfect solution, it does help you to remind from time to time to correct your posture while using your device.

You can also use the voice command on your phone to reduce the need for looking at the screen. Every phone has a certain type of voice command available, the most common being ‘OK Google.’

Exercise

Stretching is one of the best exercises to combat text neck. Adding core strengthening exercises to your workout regime and stretching your neck at work or while using your phone are some good ways to fight the stiffness. To make the stretching regular, add reminders on your phone at certain intervals that will alert you to stretch. Every few minutes, lifting your head and stretching your neck is of great help.

In not so severe cases, the above measure can keep text neck under control. However, if the symptoms persist, a medical evaluation should be done to rule out underlying causes.

Frequently Asked Questions About How to Prevent and Fix Text Neck

What is text neck?

Text neck is the medical term for the stiffness in the neck that occurs when your head is looking down for a long time, whether you’re reading a book or texting someone. This condition arises from prolonged forward tilting of the head, causing uneven pressure on the neck. It is a common problem in the digital age due to frequent use of mobile phones and computers.

Why does text neck happen?

Text neck happens because the head, which weighs around 10 pounds, places uneven pressure on the neck when tilted forward for extended periods. The neck is much lighter and leaner than the head, and maintaining a tilted posture makes it difficult for the neck to balance the head’s weight. This constant strain can lead to muscle stiffness and soreness.

How can I prevent text neck?

You can prevent text neck by using apps that detect your head angle and remind you to correct your posture while using devices. These apps generally work by monitoring the tilt of your phone, which corresponds to your head’s position. Additionally, utilizing voice commands on your phone can reduce the need to look down at the screen constantly.

Is text neck a serious condition?

While text neck may start as muscle stiffness and soreness, it can lead to more severe spinal problems if not treated in time. Stiffness in the neck is often an initial symptom of conditions like spondylitis. Addressing the issue early can prevent further complications.

Who is most susceptible to getting text neck?

Anyone whose head remains tilted forward for long periods, such as those who work long hours in front of a computer or spend most of the day looking at a phone screen, is most susceptible to text neck. Even activities like chopping vegetables or reading in bed with a tilted head can contribute to the condition. This highlights its widespread prevalence across various demographics due to everyday habits.

Can using technology help fix text neck?

Yes, the same devices that contribute to text neck can also be used to help fix and prevent it through specialized applications. These apps can detect your head’s angle and provide reminders to adjust your posture, helping you to maintain a healthier neck position. They offer a practical, immediate way to monitor and correct your posture during device use.

The new 12 inch hybrid from eLuxurySupply is a very substantial mattress at an accessible price. It also comes with a 120-night trial where you can return it free within that timeframe. It is Made in the USA. Eluxury Supply is a United States Veteran owned and operated business out of Evansville, Indiana. In 2016 they were the #4 fastest growing company in America according to Inc. Magazine.

They have a nice assortment of mattresses to choose from as well as other accessories including mattress pads, sheets, pillows and even bed frames.

Overview of the eLuxury Supply mattress

This mattress comes shipped in a box similar to most of the other online brands. This mattress ships quickly and you should receive it in a week or less after placing your order.

Construction of the eLuxury Supply Hybrid

Below are the construction specifications of the mattress as listed on their website.

1.5″ ENCASED MICRO COILS
7.5″ SUPPORT FOAM

How Much Does the 12 Inch Hybrid Cost

Here are the current prices of the mattress if you were to buy directly from their website.

Twin XL $900
Full $970
Queen $1,000
King $1,150
California King $1,200

My eLuxury Supply Findings

For a foam hybrid mattress, I would classify it on the softer end of the spectrum, probably a medium soft. I do like how all the layers transition well. With some mattresses, you will feel the transition from foam to hitting the springs as you lay down. That’s not the case here.

Here’s a picture of my 14 lb. bowling ball on the mattress to give you an idea of how much it will sink..

Sink on the eluxury supply mattress

Here’s another video showing motion transfer. This mattress has very little motion transfer. I think that’s because there are softer foams on the top layer which absorb most of the impact. It does have coils but micro coils really don’t transfer motion. These coils provide just a little more contouring that foam alone cannot provide.

Here’s a video that shows how well the mattress dissipates heat. I would say that this mattress is sort of middle of the road for heat dissipation. If your primary concern is sleeping hot there are better choices out there but I didn’t notice it to necessarily sleep hot.

My eLuxury Supply Recommendation

There are other micro coil and foam mattresses on the market with similar construction, however, at $1,000 for a queen size this is a pretty good deal. Among the other microcoil mattresses this one is slightly softer. It lacks some of the cooling features such as a phase change cover but if you aren’t a hot sleeper, you won’t miss this. Eluxury has a 120 night hassle free return policy so there’s no risk in trying it out.

I recommend this mattress for people that like a soft foam mattress but want just a little more push back that foam alone cannot provide. With the micro coil system you get the benefits of having a softer, denser foam at the top while the micro coils can do the work of springing it back to life a little quicker.

Frequently Asked Questions About eLuxury Supply Mattress Review (2026): Value & Comfort

Is the eLuxury Supply 12 Inch Gel Foam Mattress worth it?

Yes, the eLuxury Supply 12 Inch Gel Foam Mattress offers excellent value, especially at around $1,000 for a queen size. It provides a unique softness characteristic of plush mattresses with ample support.

Who is the eLuxury Supply 12 Inch Gel Foam Mattress best for?

This mattress is best for couples due to its minimal motion transfer, and for those who enjoy a medium-soft feel with good support. Its combination of gel foam and micro coils offers a comfortable embrace without excessive sinkage.

What are the downsides of the eLuxury Supply 12 Inch Gel Foam Mattress?

The primary downside is its heat dissipation, which falls into a middle range. While it does not trap heat excessively, it lacks advanced cooling technologies, so hot sleepers may need to consider other options.

Is the eLuxury Supply 12 Inch Gel Foam Mattress good for side sleepers?

Given its medium-soft firmness and smooth transition between layers, the eLuxury Supply mattress should be comfortable for side sleepers. The layers conform to the body, providing a comforting embrace without excessive sinkage, which is beneficial for pressure relief on the hips and shoulders.

How does the eLuxury Supply mattress compare to other hybrid mattresses in terms of price?

Best Sleep Position for Neck Pain

The ‘pain in the neck’ adage didn’t originate without reason. Of all the pains that humans suffer from on a pretty regular basis, neck pain is the most annoying. It hurts to look up, look down, and turn our heads for anything. Whether you are working, going for a jog, or simply trying to eat, your neck pain can make every activity difficult. Although not a cause for concern, neck pains are relentless and don’t go away on their own. In fact, neck pains affect close to 60 percent of the population, second only to back pain. Neck pain can range in severity; it can be mild discomfort for some, soreness and stiffness for some, and severe pain affecting the neck, spine, and shoulders in others. In some cases, it can even make daily activities impossible. If the pain is severe, prompt medical attention must be sought.

What causes neck pain?

There can be several causes for the neck, but the most common is bad posture. Almost everyone suffers from poor posture. Keeping the head bent for too long, slouching, staying in one position for a long time, all put abnormal stress on the neck and shoulders. Even when you are watching TV on the couch, reading in bed, spending long hours in front of the computer, and driving can cause a misalignment of the cervical spine and muscle spasms in the neck, leading to pain. Whenever the neck and the spine are not aligned normally, it can give rise to pain because of stress on the muscles. Neck pain can also be caused by osteoarthritis, the inflammation of joints that happens because of wear and tear. In addition, when you adopt poor posture, the condition only worsens. Whatever the cause of the pain, if you suffer from chronic neck pain, you must have noticed that it is worse in the morning, right after you get out of bed. Have you ever wondered why? It’s because of your sleeping position. Most of us tend to sleep in the wrong position. A lot of sleepers sprawl throughout the bed, some sleep on the wrong pillows, and it only grows worse with activities like reading or using the phone in bed. Every time your neck is in a wrong position, you put undue stress on your spine, leading to pain. To start getting rid of your neck pain, change your sleeping position first. Yes, this is bad news for most people, because we feel comfortable sleeping the way we do. When switching to a new position, it can be difficult to fall asleep and may go back to our normal position, just to be comfortable. However, if you stick to the right sleeping positions, it can be the end of your misery.

Best sleeping positions for neck pain

It has been agreed by experts all over the world that sleeping on your back is the best way to ease neck pain, because, in this position, your spine remains neutral. Harvard Health advises that the pillow you sleep on should be rounded to provide the required support to the curvature of your neck. Depending upon preference, you can either choose a feather pillow, since it is soft and curves according to the shape of your neck, or a memory foam pillow. Hard pillows are usually bad for the spine, and should be avoided.   That being said, there is good news for side sleepers. As long as you have the right pillow to support your neck, you can easily sleep on your side without any problem. Positioning your pillow higher under your neck to form a little bridge will keep your neck and spine supported while you sleep on your side. Those who sleep on their stomach are the highest risk of neck pain because it is the worst position to sleep in. If it’s impossible to adopt a more suitable position for nighttime sleeping, try using a thin pillow under your neck to keep your spine from straining. The types of pillows you use also have a significant impact on your neck and spine. Ideally, you should be using a pillow that isn’t too high or too stiff, since it will only contribute to neck pain and stiffness. Although neck pain can be annoying and hard to get rid of, proper sleeping positions and the right exercises can provide gentle relief over time.

Frequently Asked Questions About Best Sleep Position for Neck Pain

What is the best sleeping position for neck pain relief?

Sleeping on your back is considered the best position to ease neck pain, as it helps keep your spine in a neutral alignment. To further support your neck, use a rounded pillow that conforms to your neck's natural curve.

Is sleeping on your side good for neck pain?

Who is at the highest risk of neck pain due to sleeping position?

Those who sleep on their stomach are at the highest risk of neck pain because this position often causes an unnatural turn or tilt of the head. It puts significant stress on the neck and spine, making it best to avoid if you experience neck discomfort.

What type of pillow should I use if I have neck pain?

For neck pain, you should use a rounded pillow that provides adequate support to the natural curvature of your neck. Feather pillows are a good option as they are soft and conform to your neck's shape, as are memory foam pillows.

The Gramercy Park Hotel was built in 1924 and is located at 2 Lexington Avenue in New York City. Famous visitors and residents include Bob Dylan, Babe Ruth, Bob Marley, Davis Bowie, Madonna, the Clash, David Mamet and more. It has a bohemian style throughout. Rooms are about $500/night. Aside from the beautiful rooms, lobby and bar, guests at the Gramercy Park Hotel also get access to Gramercy Park across the street which is only available to Gramercy Park residents.

This is my favorite hotel in NYC and is one of the most cozy, comfortable and quiet hotels in the city. I love the history of the hotel and how accessible it is to some of the best parts of Manhattan. Below are some photos and a video tour of the Gramercy Park hotel to give you an idea of what to expect. During my stay I was upgraded to a junior suite which includes a living room area and a separate bedroom.

The Gramercy Park Hotel Lobby

The Lobby of the hotel is warm and inviting. There are scented candles in the lobby which smell amazing. Below is a picture of the lobby. There’s always a cozy fire burning.

Gramercy Park Hotel Lobby

Here’s another pic of the lobby

To your right as you enter is the Rose bar which has a club towards the back.

Here’s a photo of the club area of the Rose Bar which has a DJ playing every night. You’ll find original art throughout the hotel including in your room.

Rose Bar Club

You’ll find that the hotel is dimly lit throughout. This adds to the warm ambiance and is incredibly relaxing.

Gramercy Park Hotel foyer

Each room number is embroidered on the carpeting on the floor.

I was lucky enough to get a junior suite. Here’s what it looks like when you first enter.

Here’s the vanity area across from the bathroom.

Gramercy Park Hotel Vanity

The hotel offers unique soaps, shampoos and lotions. During my stay they had Aesop Soap which is based out of Melbourne Australia. These soaps incorporate natural essential oils and smell great.

Here’s the card that they leave on the vanity.

Gramercy Park Hotel Amenities

In the bathroom, you will also find a couple robes with slippers.

Gramercy Park Hotel RobeOther surprises include a pop out mini bar underneath the TV in the living room.

Gramercy Park Hotel mini Bar

Now on to the bedroom. It should be noted that all the light switched in the room had dimmers. Again, this is in keeping with the overal ambiance o the hotel. When I arrived at the room all the lights were dimmed. The Bedroom has its own chandellier with a dimmer switch as well as lights by each bedside, also with dimmers. There are blackout shades, blinds and a large velvet curtain. The hotel will turn down your shades in the evening while you are out so the room is completely dark. This is makes for an excellent sleep environment. Also the HVAC provides a nice white noise to drown out all the city noises while you sleep.

Gramercy Park Hotel Mattress

Mine room came with 4 king size down pillows and I suppose you could ask for more if you wanted to but I found these to be more than sufficient. The bed itself comes with a feather bed. The mattress is firm but the featherbed softens it up nicely and I didn’t wake up sore. This is typical of a quality hotel mattress.

Gramercy Park Hotel Pillows

On the night stand you will find a limited edition bottle of Evian water starting at $10. I made sure not to open it. I like that they have 2 outlets that are easily accesible on the nightstand.

Gramercy Park Hotel Night Stand

I was fortunate enough to attend an event on the Terrace which is at the top floor of the hotel. Here’s picture of some of the views you can expect.

Gramercy Park Hotel Terrace

One of the best parts of staying at this hotel is access to Gramercy Park. To get in, just go to the reception desk and ask for a key. They will take your ID and then have the bellhop escort you to the park and give you a key. Only residents can access the park.

My Gramercy Park Hotel Recommendation

This is by far the best hotel in NYC that I have stayed at. Not only is it steeped in history, it is extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. Best of all the rooms are quiet and dark which makes for an optimal sleep environment. You can’t ask for more. It is a convenient location near great restaurants and close to all the major tourist destinations.

Idle Sleep: Risky Mattress Choice You Should Avoid

Idle Sleep Dual Firmness Mattress
Bottom line

The Idle Sleep 12 Inch Dual Firmness Mattress is a risky choice due to the company being defunct, which means no customer support or warranty. This mattress is best avoided by potential buyers unless they are comfortable with the associated risks of purchasing from a non-operational entity, despite its dual-firmness appeal.

There are a few reasons why it might be a bad idea to buy an Idle Sleep mattress:

  • Idle Sleep is no longer in business. This means that if you have any problems with your mattress, it may be difficult to get customer support or a replacement.
  • The Idle Sleep mattress has mixed reviews. Some people love it, while others find it to be too firm or uncomfortable. It’s important to read reviews carefully before you buy any mattress, but especially one from a company that is no longer in business.
  • The Idle Sleep mattress is not ideal for all sleeping positions. Side sleepers and lightweight sleepers may find it too firm, while stomach sleepers may find it too soft.
  • The Idle Sleep mattress is not flippable. This means that you can’t flip it over to extend its lifespan.

Overall, it’s best to avoid buying an Idle Sleep mattress unless you’re sure that it’s the right mattress for you and you’re comfortable with the risk of buying from a company that is no longer in business.

Here are some additional things to consider when choosing a mattress:

  • Your sleeping position. Side sleepers need a softer mattress to cradle their shoulders and hips, while back sleepers need a mattress that provides support for their lumbar spine. Stomach sleepers need a firmer mattress to keep their spine aligned.
  • Your weight. Heavier sleepers need a firmer mattress to support their weight, while lighter sleepers may prefer a softer mattress.
  • Your budget. Mattresses can range in price from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. It’s important to set a budget before you start shopping so that you don’t overspend.

Once you’ve considered all of these factors, you can start shopping for a mattress. It’s important to try out different mattresses in person before you buy one. This will help you to find a mattress that is comfortable and supportive for you.

Idle Sleep is a new online mattress brand that has multiple mattress models that have one thing in common, they can all be flipped. This means you can sleep on either side. This is a construction that harkens back many decades when you could maximize the lifespan on your mattress by wearing each side evenly. This was true then and is true now with Idle Sleep.

Their Dual Firmness mattress is a little different in that each side is a different firmness. This gives you the option of sleeping on a firm or soft side. A queen size currently retails for $1,199

Overview of the Idle Sleep Dual Firmness Mattress

The Idle Sleep line of mattresses come with a 120 night trial. That means you can try out the mattress in your house for 120 days and if you don’t like it, you can return it for a full refund. There’s no need to ship it back either, Idle will work with you to take care of the return.

All Idle Sleep mattresses are made in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty.

Here’s a quick overview of the mattress. In the video, I show you how easy it is to flip as it comes with handles on each side that are stitched into the mattress.

My Idle Sleep Findings

Below is a photo of my 14 lb. bowling ball on the soft side of the Idle Sleep Mattress. On a firmness scale I would say this is a medium firm feel.

Soft Side of idle sleep dual

Here’s a photo of the firm side of the mattress which is more of a true firm feel.

There isn’t much motion transfer with this mattress since it is an all foam mattress. Below is a video illustrating motion transfer on the soft side. The soft side absorbs more motion than the firm side.

Here’s a video of the firm side of the mattress. There isn’t that much difference between the two but I noticed the soft side absorbed a little more motion.

My Idle Sleep Recommendation

Dual firmness mattresses are excellent guest bedroom mattresses because they give you two choices in one. But this mattress is also great for your bedroom every night. I prefer the softer side as I generally like a softer mattress but people on the lookout for a firm mattress will appreciate the firm side of the Idles Sleep.

Buy this mattress if you aren’t quite sure what firmness is best for you or if you want a great guest bedroom mattress or a mattress for your new Airbnb!

Celliant Blanket Review

Yaasa Studios Blanket
Bottom line

The Yaasa Infinity Blanket is a Celliant blanket designed to enhance comfort and offer health benefits like increased energy and improved circulation. It is best for individuals seeking to passively integrate wellness into daily routines, but those skeptical of Celliant technology's effects may want to skip it. Its primary value lies in the potential health benefits provided by the Celliant fibers.

Yaasa just introduced an awesome new blanket called the Infinity Blanket that is made with Celliant and I received a free one for review. This blanket is great for all seasons and would make a great accessory for your bedroom or living room. What makes this blanket unique is that it is made with organic cotton and celliant fibers woven in that have a therapeutic effect.

Overview of the Yaasa  Celliant Blanket

Here’s a picture of the blanket right out of the packaging. As you can see there’s a little brochure that has more information.

Celliant Blanket

I did a quick video overview of the blanket while sitting on the new Yaasa mattress. To my right is a candle, also by Yaasa.

My Yaasa InfinityBlanket Findings

The blanket comes in two sizes, a throw and travel size

Throw 57″ x 77″ $230
Travel Size 41″ x 55″ $149

Here’s a picture of the throw that I received. As you can see it almost completely covers a queen size mattress. This size is perfect for your couch.

This blanket has a dark size with a light border like below…

yaasa studios infinity blanket side 1

And a light side with dark border…

What are the Benefits of Celliant?

Celliant technology aside, this is a good looking blanket with neutral colors that go with just about anything. The blanket it made with organic cotton which is a great feature but that alone wouldn’t get me to pay over $200 for it. Instead, the real value is in the promised benefits of the celliant fibers.

Here’s a close up of the blanket so you can see it in more detail.

I have been using this blanket for over a month now while watching TV and reading. It doesn’t feel any different than a regular blanket with similar construction and I certainly didn’t feel the Celliant technology working while using it, it did give me peace of mind knowing that I may be receiving some benefit while using the blanket.

I think that’s the best part of this blanket. We spend so much of our times sleeping and a lot of time resting given our sedentary lifestyles. Why not maximize that time with something as simple as a blanket that can promote recovery and improve sleep?

I expect more technological advances like this in the future that are passive upgrades to everyday items that cumulatively will lead to better well being.
