Technogel Mattress Review: Gel Comfort Technology & Model Context Restored
The Technogel page had lost much of the explanation of the material that makes these mattresses different from standard foam beds.
What Technogel is
Technogel uses a solid but flexible gel material as a comfort component. Unlike gel beads infused into memory foam, this is a distinct layer/material that deforms under pressure and then returns to shape.
Pressure distribution
The gel can spread load across a wider area, changing the way pressure is distributed at the shoulder, hip and other contact points compared with ordinary foam.
Temperature behavior
Gel has different thermal properties from foam and can feel cool initially while also allowing heat to spread through the material. Actual overnight cooling still depends on the full mattress construction, cover and room conditions.
Multiple models
Technogel has offered different firmnesses and mattress constructions, so there is no single universal 'Technogel feel.' The thickness and placement of the gel layer matter.
Pillows and other products
The same gel technology also appears in Technogel pillows and seating products, which helps explain why the brand’s identity is centered on the material rather than one mattress model.
