The Puffy Cloud Mattress is ranked Best Memory Foam Mattress by People Magazine, Best Memory Foam Mattress 2024 by HGTV, and Best Affordable Medium-Firm Mattress 2024 by Forbes.
I have been a fan of the Puffy mattress ever since they launched in 2016. Since the launch of the original Puffy, the brand has expanded its lineup to the Puffy Lux Hybrid and the Puffy Royal. The Puffy Lux Hybrid was rated a Consumer Reports top pick and continues to be a top seller in the Yawnder mattress stores.
If you are wondering if the Puffy is right for you and if so, which model, check out this video where I compare the Puffy, Puffy Lux and Puffy Royal.

Puffy is the new mattress on the block, which reportedly mimics the feeling of sleeping on a cloud. Read on to find out more about the ‘most comfortable’ mattress ever.
Construction of the Puffy Bed
The Puffy Mattress comes in three models: the Puffy Original, the Puffy Lux, and the Puffy Royal. Here’s a detailed look at the construction of each model:
Puffy Original:
The Puffy Original is a 10-inch mattress that features a two-layer foam construction:
Comfort layer: The top layer is made of 3 inches of Puffy’s proprietary Cooling Cloud foam. This foam is designed to provide pressure relief, contouring to your body and distributing your weight evenly across the surface of the mattress.
Support layer: The bottom layer is made of 7 inches of high-density polyfoam. This layer provides support and helps to keep your spine properly aligned.
The cover of the Puffy Original is made of a soft polyester blend that is breathable and helps to promote airflow through the mattress.
Puffy Lux:
The Puffy Lux is a 12-inch mattress that features a three-layer foam construction:
Comfort layer: The top layer is made of 1.5 inches of Cooling Cloud foam, followed by 1.5 inches of Plush Dual Cloud foam. These two layers work together to provide contouring and pressure relief, while also promoting airflow and temperature regulation.
Transition layer: The middle layer is made of 2 inches of Climate Comfort foam. This layer is designed to help regulate temperature and prevent heat buildup.
Support layer: The bottom layer is made of 7 inches of high-density polyfoam. This layer provides support and helps to keep your spine properly aligned.
The cover of the Puffy Lux is made of a soft and plush polyester blend that is breathable and moisture-wicking.
Puffy Royal:
The Puffy Royal is a 14-inch mattress that features a five-layer foam construction:
Comfort layer: The top layer is made of 1.5 inches of Cooling Cloud foam, followed by 2 inches of Plush Dual Cloud foam. These layers provide contouring and pressure relief, as well as breathability and temperature regulation.
Transition layer: The second layer is made of 2 inches of Climate Comfort foam. This layer is designed to help regulate temperature and prevent heat buildup.
Contour layer: The third layer is made of 2 inches of Body Adapting Dual Cloud foam. This layer is designed to provide additional contouring and support for your body.
Support layer: The fourth layer is made of 6 inches of Firm Core Support foam. This layer provides the foundational support for the mattress and helps to keep your spine properly aligned.
Base layer: The bottom layer is made of 1 inch of high-density polyfoam. This layer provides additional support and helps to extend the lifespan of the mattress.
The cover of the Puffy Royal is made of a luxurious and breathable blend of polyester, rayon, and polyamide. The cover also features a stain-resistant treatment to help keep your mattress clean and fresh.
Unboxing and Overview of Puffy
This is one of many new online mattress companies that ship their product in a box. A queen size currently retails for $850 which puts it at a comparable price to the leading online brands. It comes with a 101-night sleep trial where if you don’t like it you can return it for a full refund. What does that mean? Well for starters, you don’t need to put it back in the box and ship it back. Instead, the company will work with you to donate it or they will come to pick it up. Either way, it’s not a hassle.
Here’s a picture of the box that my queen size mattress came in.
Once you get it out of the box you will find that it is wrapped in plastic. This protects it from all the elements it may get exposed to in delivery. Unboxing is easy. From here, just cut the plastic carefully and the mattress will slowly expand into shape.
Here’s what the mattress looks like a few hours after opening. You can see the signature clouds stitched into the mattress ticking a very nice touch.
This mattress has a nice border around the front of the mattress with their logo. Although you aren’t going to notice this after you put sheets on the bed, it shows that they have put some thought into the looks of the bed and therefore put some thought into the feel as well.
Below is a video overview of the mattress along with what you can expect in terms of feel and bounce. This is a two-layer mattress with the top part being a more dense foam followed by your standard base foam. It has a washable zippered cover. I have washed many covers like this and they are easy to unzip and wash. Just make sure you don’t use too much heat when drying. You don’t want to shrink the fabric as that will make it harder to get back on the mattress. I don’t recommend washing these covers and usually prefer people use a mattress protector instead.
Inside the Puffy Mattress
Here’s what the mattress looks like inside with the cover off. What makes this mattress so conforming is the top layer which you really sink into fast.
My Puffy Findings
Overall I found this to be a softer mattress. Despite only having two layers, it transitions well so that you don’t feel yourself hitting the base layer when you lie down.
Here’s a video of me squishing the mattress so you can see how each layer reacts. As you can see the top layer responds much more slowly.
Inside the Puffy Mattress
How is Motion Transfer on the Puffy Mattress?
Here’s another video illustrating motion transfer. There is very little bounce with this mattress and I believe this was by design. This mattress would be a good choice for couples looking to eliminate motion transfer. This mattress behaves similarly to other dense foam mattresses like Nectar where there will be little motion transfer. However heavier people may find that it will not completely eliminate this issue.
Here’s a picture of how much by bowling ball sinks into the mattress. The Puffy will cradle you fairly well and will give good pressure relief.
Does the Puffy Mattress Sleep Hot?
The video below was taken with my thermal camera to illustrate heat retention on the mattress. I thought this mattress handled heat fairly well given its construction. If sleeping hot is a primary concern, there are other mattresses such as the Purple which will sleep much cooler but may not conform quite as well.
Puffy Mattress by Sleeping Position
The best Puffy mattress model for you will depend on your sleeping position. Here are my recommendations based on different sleeping positions:
Side sleepers: Side sleepers need a mattress that provides adequate pressure relief to avoid discomfort in the hips and shoulders. For side sleepers, the Puffy Lux or Puffy Royal would be the best options as both models have a soft comfort layer that can cushion pressure points.
Back sleepers: Back sleepers need a mattress that supports their lumbar region and keeps their spine properly aligned. The Puffy Original and Puffy Lux would be the best options for back sleepers as they provide adequate support while still conforming to the body’s natural curves.
Stomach sleepers: Stomach sleepers need a mattress that is firm enough to keep their hips from sinking too far into the mattress, which can lead to lower back pain. For stomach sleepers, the Puffy Original would be the best option as it has a firm support layer that can help maintain proper spinal alignment.
Combination sleepers: Combination sleepers need a mattress that can accommodate various sleeping positions. For combination sleepers, the Puffy Royal would be the best option as it has multiple layers of foam that can adapt to different sleeping positions, while still providing support and pressure relief where needed.
Overall, the Puffy Lux and Puffy Royal are the most versatile and suitable for most sleepers.

What is the Puffy Warranty?
Puffy offers a lifetime warranty on their mattresses. This means that the warranty is valid for as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, including sagging or body impressions greater than 1.5 inches, and physical flaws that cause the foam to split or crack despite proper use and handling.
During the first 10 years of ownership, Puffy will repair or replace the mattress at no cost to the owner if there is a covered defect. After 10 years, Puffy will repair or replace the mattress, but the owner will be responsible for a prorated portion of the original purchase price based on the length of time they have owned the mattress.
The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not transferable. The mattress must be used on an appropriate foundation and not subjected to abuse, neglect, or damage. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, changes in comfort preferences, or damage caused by misuse or improper cleaning.
My Puffy Mattress Recommendation
Overall the Puffy is a conforming, soft mattress that should please people who like a softer feel with conforming foam. At $850 for a queen size after the $300 discount, it’s right on target with other brands. I was impressed with how it conforms and relieves pressure without being hard to move around on.
2024 Puffy Mattress Review Update
Since this mattress was introduced in 2017 literally dozens of new brands have launched to compete in the online bed-in-a-box space. While all of these have some unique features, the Puffy still has a unique feel.
I think the Puffy is still worth considering and should definitely be on your shortlist if you are a side sleeper as it should completely address shoulder and hip soreness. Everything about the Puffy is convenient so it’s definitely worth trying out.

Choosing the Right Puffy Model
Consider these factors when deciding:
Sleeping position: Side sleepers often do best with either the Puffy or the Puffy Lux Hybrid. Back sleepers may prefer the additional support of the hybrids.
Firmness preference: If you love a soft, plush feel, the Puffy Lux Hybrid or Royal Hybrid might be the way to go.
Budget: The Puffy is the most affordable option, while the Puffy Royal Hybrid is the most premium.
Motion Isolation: Puffy mattresses, especially the all-foam Puffy and Puffy Lux Hybrid, excel at motion isolation. Their foam layers absorb movement effectively, minimizing disturbances for you and your partner. This makes them great for couples who don’t want to be disturbed by each other’s movements during sleep.
Edge Support:
Puffy Mattress: The original, all-foam Puffy has average edge support, which is typical for this type of construction. You might feel some compression when sitting on the very edge.
Puffy Lux Hybrid & Royal Hybrid: The hybrid models provide much stronger edge support thanks to the coils in their construction. This makes them better for sleepers who frequently sit on the edge or like to utilize the entire surface of the mattress.
Temperature Control:
Puffy Mattress: All-foam mattresses, including the original Puffy, can sometimes trap heat. Puffy addresses this by incorporating cooling technology into their foams and mattress covers. However, hot sleepers might still find the hybrid models (Lux Hybrid and Royal Hybrid) more breathable due to their coil layers promoting better airflow.
Ease of Movement:
Puffy Mattress: You may experience a slight “sinking in” sensation with the conforming foams, which could restrict movement a bit.
Puffy Lux Hybrid & Royal Hybrid: The hybrid models tend to offer a touch more responsiveness and bounce, making it a bit easier to move around compared to the all-foam Puffy.
Off-gassing: Like most new foam mattresses, Puffy mattresses might give off a slight chemical odor initially. This off-gassing is typically harmless and dissipates within a few days. Ventilating the room helps speed up the process.
Overall Considerations
Best for couples: The excellent motion isolation of Puffy mattresses makes them ideal for couples.
Hot sleepers: Hot sleepers might benefit from the Puffy Lux Hybrid or Royal Hybrid with their enhanced breathability thanks to the coil layer.
Ease of Movement Preference: If you like a mattress with more bounce and ease of movement, a hybrid option may be better.
Manufacturing
Made in the USA: Puffy mattresses are designed and manufactured right here in the United States. This ensures quality control and contributes to their faster shipping times.
Materials: Puffy utilizes high-quality foams with CertiPUR-US certifications, meaning they are made without harmful chemicals and meet standards for low emissions.
Warranty
Lifetime Warranty: Puffy offers an exceptional lifetime warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials for as long as you own the mattress.
Terms: The warranty covers things like excessive sagging, body impressions deeper than 1.5 inches, and manufacturing flaws in the cover or foams. See Puffy’s warranty page for the full details (https://puffy.com/pages/puffy-mattress-warranty).
Process: If you experience a warranty issue, contact Puffy customer support for guidance and assistance.
Differences in Mattress Height
Puffy Mattress: The original all-foam Puffy mattress has a 10-inch profile.
Puffy Lux Hybrid: The Puffy Lux Hybrid is thicker at 12 inches due to its coil support layer.
Puffy Royal Hybrid: The Puffy Royal Hybrid, their most luxurious model, has the thickest profile at 14 inches.
Key Points
Mattress Height and Feel: Thicker mattresses generally offer a more plush, luxurious feel.
Here’s how the Puffy mattress generally performs for different sleeping styles and body weights:
Side Sleepers
Overall: Puffy mattresses excel for side sleepers due to their excellent pressure relief.
Lightweight (<130 lbs): Lightweight side sleepers will likely find all Puffy models comfortable and supportive.
Average Weight (130-230 lbs): Side sleepers in this range will likely appreciate the balance of plushness and support in the Puffy or Puffy Lux Hybrid.
Heavyweight (>230 lbs): Heavyweight side sleepers might get the best support and pressure relief from the Puffy Lux Hybrid or the thicker Puffy Royal Hybrid.
Back Sleepers
Overall: Puffy mattresses can work for back sleepers, but support is a key consideration.
Lightweight (<130 lbs): May find the Puffy or Puffy Lux Hybrid adequately comfortable and supportive.
Average Weight (130-230 lbs): Might prefer the added support of the Puffy Lux Hybrid, especially if they like a slightly firmer feel.
Heavyweight (>230 lbs): Likely will need the reinforced support of the Puffy Lux Hybrid or Puffy Royal Hybrid.
Stomach Sleepers
Overall: Puffy mattresses may be less ideal for stomach sleepers as they tend to need firmer support to maintain proper spinal alignment.
Lightweight (<130 lbs): Might find the original Puffy sufficiently supportive.
Average Weight (130-230 lbs): May need the extra firmness of the Puffy Lux Hybrid.
Heavyweight (>230 lbs): Likely need a mattress with even stronger support; Puffy models might not be the best fit.

Motion Isolation: Puffy mattresses, especially the all-foam Puffy and Puffy Lux Hybrid, excel at motion isolation. Their foam layers absorb movement effectively, minimizing disturbances for you and your partner.
Pressure Relief: Puffy mattresses offer good pressure relief, particularly for side sleepers. The soft, conforming foam layers cradle pressure points like hips and shoulders, reducing discomfort.
Temperature Control: All-foam mattresses, including the original Puffy, can sometimes trap heat. Puffy addresses this by incorporating cooling technology into their foams and mattress covers. However, hot sleepers might still find the Puffy Lux Hybrid or Royal Hybrid more breathable due to their coil layers.
Edge Support: The original Puffy mattress has average edge support typical of all-foam models. The hybrid models (Lux Hybrid and Royal Hybrid) provide much stronger edge support thanks to the coils in their construction.
Ease of Movement: The conforming nature of Puffy mattresses can slightly restrict movement. You might experience a bit of a “sinking in” sensation. If you prefer a mattress that’s easier to move around on, a hybrid option may be better.
Off-gassing: Like most new foam mattresses, Puffy mattresses might give off a slight chemical odor initially. This off-gassing is typically harmless and fades within a few days.
Overall Considerations
Best for side sleepers: Puffy mattresses are an especially good choice for side sleepers due to their pressure-relieving qualities.
Hot sleepers: Hot sleepers might benefit more from the Puffy Lux Hybrid or Royal Hybrid with their enhanced breathability.
Couples: The excellent motion isolation of Puffy mattresses makes them ideal for couples.
Puffy vs. Purple Mattress
When it comes to choosing between Puffy and Purple mattresses, several key factors come into play: comfort, construction, price, trial period, and warranty.
The Puffy mattress is known for its comfort and support, achieved through a three-layer memory foam construction. The top layer is a cooling gel-infused foam designed to keep sleepers cool throughout the night, while the middle layer offers body-adapting dual cloud foam. Finally, the base layer provides firm support that ensures durability and longevity.
In contrast, Purple mattresses use a unique Hyper-Elastic Polymer grid combined with foam layers. The grid is designed to flex under pressure points and provide support elsewhere, offering a balance of comfort and support that caters to all sleep styles. This grid also promotes airflow, making Purple mattresses notably cool to sleep on.
Puffy typically offers its customers a 101-night trial period, which provides ample time to adjust to the new mattress. On the other hand, Purple grants a 100-night trial period, which is standard in the industry. Both companies provide free returns if you’re not satisfied within this period.
In terms of warranty, Puffy stands out with a lifetime warranty, reflecting their confidence in the durability of their products. Purple, meanwhile, offers a 10-year warranty which is industry standard.
As of my last update in September 2021, the price for a Puffy queen size mattress typically ranged from around $1,150, whereas Purple’s original queen mattress retailed at around $1,149. Prices, of course, can vary based on size, model, and any ongoing promotions or discounts.
In conclusion, Puffy and Purple are two different brands with distinctive features. The choice between the two ultimately comes down to personal preferences and sleep needs. Puffy tends to be the choice for those who prefer the contouring and hugging feel of memory foam, while Purple’s unique grid and foam construction offers a blend of support and pressure relief that caters to a wide range of sleepers. It is recommended to take advantage of the trial periods offered by both companies to find the perfect match for your individual sleep style and comfort preferences.
Puffy is the clear winner over Purple and Saatva
There are several reasons why certain individuals might lean towards Puffy when comparing it with Purple and Saatva mattresses. It’s important to understand that individual sleep preferences vary greatly, and what works for one person might not work for another. However, let’s delve into the factors that could make Puffy a more appealing choice for some.
Firstly, the comfort and pressure relief offered by Puffy’s memory foam construction is a significant draw. Puffy mattresses use a three-layer foam design that includes a cooling cloud foam layer, a body-adapting dual cloud foam layer, and a firm core support layer. This combination provides a balance of support and comfort, catering especially to those who prefer a medium firmness level. It molds to the sleeper’s body, providing a contouring sensation that many find to be quite comfortable, especially side sleepers and those with joint pain.
Secondly, Puffy’s lifetime warranty is a standout feature. The warranty, which covers certain defects for as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress, signals a high level of confidence in their product’s quality and durability. Compared to the 10-year warranty offered by Purple and the 15-year warranty offered by Saatva, Puffy’s lifetime warranty can be a compelling selling point for consumers looking for a long-term investment.
Lastly, Puffy mattresses are designed to be compatible with any type of bed frame, including box springs, flat frames, slats, or even adjustable bases. This flexibility can be a significant advantage for shoppers who don’t wish to purchase a new bed frame or have a particular type of bed base already.
While these reasons may make Puffy mattresses attractive to some buyers, it’s important to remember that Purple and Saatva have their own strengths. Purple’s unique hyper-elastic polymer grid offers a distinctive feel and cooling capabilities, while Saatva’s innerspring and eco-friendly constructions appeal to those seeking a traditional mattress feel or a more environmentally-conscious choice.
In the end, the decision between Puffy, Purple, and Saatva will come down to individual sleep needs and preferences. Consumers are advised to take full advantage of the trial periods offered by these companies to ensure they find the perfect match for a good night’s sleep.

The Metta Bed mattress is a two-layer, all-latex mattress made with certified organic materials. It is available in three firmness levels: plush, medium, and firm. The top layer is made of 3 inches of latex, and the bottom layer is made of 3 inches of latex. The mattress is also covered in a zippered, washable cover made of organic cotton and wool.
The Metta Bed mattress is designed to be comfortable and supportive for all types of sleepers. The latex is naturally responsive and contouring, so it provides pressure relief and support for your spine. The mattress is also breathable and cool-sleeping, so you can stay comfortable all night long.
The Metta Bed mattress is also a good choice for people who are looking for a sustainable mattress. The latex is harvested from sustainable rubber tree plantations, and the organic cotton and wool are grown and processed without harsh chemicals.
Overall, the Metta Bed mattress is a well-made, comfortable, and sustainable mattress that is a good choice for all types of sleepers.
Here are some of the pros and cons of the Metta Bed mattress:
Pros:
Made with certified organic materials
All-latex construction is naturally responsive, contouring, and breathable
Available in three firmness levels to choose from
Zippered, washable cover
10-year warranty
Cons:
Can be expensive
Some sleepers may find the mattress to be too firm or too soft
Latex mattresses can be heavier and more difficult to move than other types of mattresses
The Metta Bed mattress is a 2 layer natural latex mattress that comes rolled up in a box. This mattress comes in 3 comfort levels, plush, medium and firm. For this review, I received a free queen size plush version. The Metta Bed company was established by the owners of Oganic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI) which is a leading organic mattress brand in America. These mattresses are made in the USA in the same facility as OMI mattresses are made. This mattress comes with a 120-night comfort guarantee and a 20-year warranty.
Overview of the Metta Bed
Here’s a quick overview of the Metta Bed. In this video, I cover the highlights of the bed and how it compares to other natural mattresses I have reviewed.
Construction of the Metta Bed
Below are some of the construction highlights of this mattress as listed on their website. As you can see in the picture below the have the GOLS label which stands for Global Organic Latex Standard.
The premium latex used in the Metta Bed mattress is minimally processed and is at least 95% pure – free from many of the synthetic “fillers” used in most other latex products that claim to be “all natural.”
Our unbleached, GOTS certified organic cotton fabrics are made from the highest quality, Texas-grown, organic cotton fiber available, and are never chemically treated.
The GOTS certified organic wool used in the Metta Bed collection of products is sourced from New Zealand, where family and commercial farmers adhere to strict standards in order to assure the certified purity of their fibers. Organic pastures and grazing grounds, minimal processing and humane shearing practices (along with other requirements) contribute to the organic standard, to which our wool is certified.
GREENGUARD Gold certification means our products meet UL’s highest standard for low emissions, VOCs and pollutants, to help ensure indoor air quality and contribute to a healthy home environment. Our products even qualify for LEED credits, and are certified safe for use in schools and for children.
The cotton and wool fibers, fabrics and threads used in the Metta Bed mattress, as well as our complete collection of bedding accessories are certified organic to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). The aim of this stringent standard is to define requirements that ensure the organic status of textiles in order to ultimately provide credible organic assurance to you – the end customer.
How Much Does the Metta Bed Cost?

My Metta Bed Findings
This mattress comes rolled in a box and there is no assembly required. Typically with a latex mattress, the cover and latex layers are separate and need to be put together. With the Metta Bed, the layers are already zipped in the cover so when you unbox the mattress it is ready to sleep on right away. And when I mean right away, I mean immediately. Latex recovers instantly and there is no need to wait for the mattress to decompress.
You will notice a slight wool smell but rest assured its natural wool and there is nothing toxic that you are breathing. The smell will dissipate over a few days and go away completely.
Here’s a picture of the cover of the mattress which is made with organic cotton. It’s nice that the mattress is natural throughout.
Below is a picture of my 14 lb. bowling ball on the mattress. There is some sink here but not as much as a pillow top mattress. So, being a plush mattress it stil skews a bit firm.
The video below shows how much motion transfer to expect with this mattress. Since there are only 2 layers of latex the mattress doesn’t compress down as far as a 3 layer would and therefore isn’t as springy. In general, latex mattresses don’t really have much motion transfer and behave similar to memory foam but because they recover faster than foam they are easier to move around on.
The video below shows how the latex layers react. I found them to be very soft. The cover of the mattress will dampen the contouring of the latex.
My Metta Bed Recommendation
If you’re looking for an affordable, all natural mattress, the Metta Bed is an excellent choice.
If you’re looking for alternatives to the Metta Bed mattress, there are numerous other eco-friendly and organic mattress brands on the market. Here are some of the most popular ones:
Avocado Green Mattress: This brand offers organic certified latex, wool, and cotton mattresses. They’re known for their commitment to sustainable and ethical practices.
Saatva: While they offer a range of mattresses, their Saatva Latex Hybrid is made with organic cotton, organic wool, and natural latex.
Birch Living: Their mattresses are made with natural latex, organic cotton, and wool. They prioritize sustainability and transparency.
PlushBeds: This brand offers a variety of natural latex mattresses with a focus on using organic and eco-friendly materials.
Naturepedic: They offer a range of organic mattresses suitable for everyone from babies to adults. Their products are made without harmful chemicals and with certified organic materials.
Awara: Their hybrid mattress combines natural latex with coils, wrapped in a cotton and wool cover.
Eco Terra: This brand offers affordable latex hybrid mattresses that are environmentally friendly.
My Green Mattress: Known for their natural and organic materials, they offer a variety of mattress options.
Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI): They offer a premium range of certified organic mattresses, with a focus on purity and luxury.
Sleep On Latex: As the name suggests, they specialize in natural latex mattresses and offer them at competitive prices.
When shopping for a mattress, especially one that claims to be eco-friendly or organic, it’s essential to look for certifications such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard), and other relevant certifications. These can help ensure you’re truly getting a product that aligns with your eco-friendly and health-conscious values.
The Birch mattress is easily the best natural mattress for stomach sleepers. Latex is a much more resilient material than foam and will give you great support all night. This mattress can be a time warp for stomach sleepers in that you probably won't wake up at night wanting to change positions. The Tochta Mattress Company was founded in 1997 by a group of friends who were frustrated by the lack of high-quality, affordable mattresses for their RVs. They decided to start their own company to make custom mattresses for RVs and other specialty applications.
The company quickly gained a reputation for making high-quality, durable mattresses that were also comfortable and affordable. In recent years, Tochta has expanded its product line to include mattresses for all types of beds, including standard beds, RV beds, truck beds, and more.
Tochta mattresses are made in the USA using high-quality materials and construction methods. The company offers a wide variety of mattress types and sizes to choose from, so customers can find the perfect mattress for their individual needs.
Today, Tochta is one of the leading manufacturers of custom mattresses in the United States. The company has over 2 million satisfied customers and is committed to providing the best possible sleep experience.

If you’re looking for a custom size mattress for your truck or RV, check out Tochta. This company specializes in creating mattresses to fit just right. Tochta is a company that has been around for over 25 years and has carved out a niche in the RV and trucking mattress space. I received a traditional queen size mattress from Tochta to review.
Overview of the Tochta Mattress
Currently this company offers 3 different mattress models, the Journey, Cortana and Utopia. The Cortana is the firmest followed by the Cortana and the Utopia, which I received is the softest of the three.
Tochta makes all their mattresses in the USA out of California. They have fast shipping and after placing your order you can expect your new mattress in about 3-5 days. Ordering your mattress is easy. If you have a standard size RV mattress you simply choose the size you need. Otherwise, if you need a custom size, they have a form where you can input the dimensions.
After entering your dimensions you can then select the style of mattress at the quoted price. The price will vary depending on thickness and size.
They even ask if your mattress needs a cut as some RVs and truck mattresses have this. They will ask you which corner the cut should be.
If you select yes you can then specify which type of cut among the standard cuts below. If by chance you don’t see the cut you need, you can contact them to specify how to cut the mattress so it fits your vehicle.
Once you place your order you will receive tracking information so you know what day to expect your mattress. It comes shipped in a box like the one below.
Here’s a video overview of the Utopia Mattress which I received. It is definitely on the softer side as it immediately contours and hugs your body.
Construction of the Tochta Mattress
Below are the construction details of the Utopia mattress which I received according to the Tochta website.
Gel Visco Comfort Layer – Utilizing the same technology as our “Journey” mattress, only more of it! This gel infused memory foam has the perfect “hug factor”. It will not bottom out and have that slow recovery feel which is common in so many memory foams today. Our blend gives you the feeling of excellent support and superior “hug” while the gel infused beads absorb excess heat allowing your body to sleep at its perfect temperature.
Latex – Latex allows for a superior “progression of support” needed in a properly built multi-layer construction mattress. Our specially chosen latex provides added breathability and increased air flow, while providing a unique blend of structure, support, and comfort all at the same time!
Transitional Layer – A superior transitional foam is essential to any quality mattress. Our special foam provides the perfect amount of support, while distributing your weight and allowing your spine to rest in its proper alignment.
Base support – Our Tochta foam base is a powerhouse! It is the workhorse which allows the other layers to do their job properly. The high density foam blend will provide years of support and durability.
My Tochta Findings
The Utopia model which I tried feels super cozy. This mattress holds its own with some of the other top online brands. Here’s a picture of how much my bowling ball sinks into the mattress.
This video shows how much motion transfer you can expect with the mattress. Basically none.
My Tochta Recommendation
Tochta offers three mattresses with different levels of firmness. I was really impressed with the Utopia and it proves you can find a mattress for your truck or RV that is every bit as comfortable as the one at your house and at a competitive price. The easy site navigation ensures that you will get the right mattress at the right fit for your needs.
Here is a list of all Tochta mattress models and prices, as of October 2023:
Model
Price
Journey
$374
Utopia
$504
Divini
$895
All prices are for a queen-size mattress. Prices may vary depending on the size and thickness of the mattress.
Journey
The Journey is Tochta’s most affordable mattress. It is a three-layer mattress with a high-density foam base, a cooling gel memory foam comfort layer, and a soft knit cover. The Journey is a medium-firm mattress that is ideal for back and side sleepers.
Utopia
The Utopia is Tochta’s most popular mattress. It is a four-layer mattress with a high-density foam base, a cooling gel memory foam comfort layer, a latex transition layer, and a soft knit cover. The Utopia is a medium-firm mattress that is ideal for all types of sleepers.
Divini
The Divini is Tochta’s most luxurious mattress. It is a five-layer mattress with a high-density foam base, a cooling gel memory foam comfort layer, a latex transition layer, a firm edge support system, and a soft knit cover. The Divini is a dual-zone mattress, meaning that each side of the mattress can be adjusted to a different firmness level. This makes the Divini ideal for couples who have different sleep preferences.
Tochta offers a 100-night trial on all of its mattresses. This means that you can try a Tochta mattress for 100 nights and return it for a full refund if you are not satisfied. Tochta also offers a 10-year warranty on all of its mattresses.

My Pillow, famous for their unique feeling foam pillow now has a mattress for purchase. In fact, the base layer of foam used in the mattress is the same foam used in their pillow. What struck me about this mattress is that when I first laid down, I thought there were springs in it because of the good support and pressure relief. Instead, it’s multiple layers of resilient foam put together in a unique way to provide a one of a kind feel. This mattress comes shipped in a box directly to your house and is Made in the USA.
Similar to the My Pillow it has a one-of-a-kind feel that is sure to set it apart from the pack which is why you should take it into consideration. The foam used is breathable resilient so you will adjust in no time. at 10 inches thick it accommodates all types of sheets and is light enough to easily transport.
Overview of the MyPillow Mattress
Before we dive into the specifics of the My Pillow Mattress, let’s take a look at what sets it apart from other mattresses on the market. The My Pillow Mattress is designed with several layers of foam, each serving a different purpose. The top layer is a soft, cooling foam that provides comfort and temperature regulation, while the middle layer is a firmer foam that offers support and pressure relief. Finally, the base layer is made of high-density foam that provides overall stability and durability.
One of the standout features of the My Pillow Mattress is its ability to customize the firmness level to your liking. You can choose from four different firmness options – yellow, white, green, or blue – depending on your sleep preferences. The yellow is the softest option and is best for side sleepers, while the blue is the firmest and is ideal for stomach sleepers. The white and green options fall somewhere in between, offering a balance of support and comfort.
In addition to its layer and firmness customization, the My Pillow Mattress also boasts a removable, machine-washable cover for easy maintenance. This is especially useful for those who suffer from allergies or have pets that sleep on the bed.
Overall, the My Pillow Mattress appears to be a well-designed sleep solution with a lot of customization options. But how does it actually feel to sleep on? Let’s find out.
Here’s a video overview
I personally tested out the My Pillow Mattress in the white firmness level, which is a medium level of support. When I first laid down on the mattress, I immediately noticed how comfortable it felt. The top layer of foam provided a soft, plush feeling while still feeling supportive. As I settled in, I could feel the firmer layer beneath me providing a nice level of support without feeling too hard.
One of the things I appreciated about the My Pillow Mattress was how it seemed to alleviate pressure points. I tend to sleep on my side, and sometimes wake up with sore hips or shoulders. However, with this mattress, I didn’t experience any of that discomfort. The foam seemed to contour to my body and provide support in all the right places.
In terms of temperature regulation, I found that the My Pillow Mattress did a decent job of keeping me cool throughout the night. I tend to run hot when I sleep, so I appreciated the cooling top layer of foam. However, on particularly warm nights, I did find myself getting a bit too warm, despite the mattress’s cooling properties.
As for durability, it’s too early to say for sure how well the My Pillow Mattress will hold up over time. However, I didn’t notice any signs of wear or tear during my testing period. The foam seemed to bounce back to its original shape after each night’s sleep.
So, is the My Pillow Mattress worth the investment? I would say yes, especially if you’re someone who values customization and pressure point relief. While it may be pricier than some other mattresses on the market, its ability to customize to your sleep needs and alleviate pressure points makes it a worthwhile investment.
How Much Does the My Pillow Mattress Cost?
When it comes to value, the My Pillow Mattress is priced in the mid to high range compared to other mattresses on the market. However, considering its customization options, pressure point relief, and durability, I believe it’s a good value for the price.
Here are the retail prices and price after discount as listed on their website. You can use the My Pillow Mattress promo code BED100 at checkout for the $100 off.
Construction of the My Pillow Mattress
Here’s a photo of the inside of the My Pillow mattress where you can see each layer of foam. With the multiple layers of foam, you get good transition into the mattress so it doesn’t feel like you are just sleeping on one piece of foam but a legit mattress.
Layer 1
Quilted MyPillow QDS® Fabric Cover
This special comfort finish is soft and cooling. It is also quick-drying and stain-resistant.
Layer 2
High Airflow Comfort Foam
Provides maximum airflow to keep your body at a comfortable temperature throughout the night. It has 4.5x more airflow and is 3X more moisture-wicking than traditional foam.
Layer 3
Extra Soft Comfort Foam Transition Layer
This layer is made up of plush, extra-soft high density foam.
The same foam used in all MyPillow® products creates the perfect supportive base that reinforces and stabilizes the mattress.
My Pillow Mattress Findings
This is a very versatile mattress and would be suitable for all sleepers. One caveat is that I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy sleepers and I think it may lack the support needed. If you are over around 220 lbs, you may want to consider looking at a mattress with denser foam or low gauge coils. However, if you are lighter, this is a great mattress for side back and stomach sleepers although I think that side and back sleepers, in particular, will be most pleased.
I love how this mattress cradles me quickly and is easy to move around on. It has a more traditional feel and doesn’t feel like your a sleeping on foam at all. And, because it’s all foam there’s basically no motion transfer either.
The My Pillow Mattress Recommendation
If you are a fan of My Pillow I think you should definitely give their mattress a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this mattress. It comes with a 120-day guarantee with free returns if you don’t like the mattress within that time period and comes shipped in a box right to your house so no need to wait for a delivery.

My Pillow Controversies
My Pillow, the company known for its pillows and bedding products, has been surrounded by controversy in recent years. The founder and CEO, Mike Lindell, has been an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump and has made controversial statements about the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. These statements have led to backlash from some customers and retailers who have dropped the brand from their stores.
In addition to the controversy surrounding Lindell’s political views, My Pillow has also faced criticism for its advertising practices. In 2016, the company settled a lawsuit with the Better Business Bureau over its advertising claims. The lawsuit alleged that My Pillow had falsely advertised its products as being able to cure a variety of medical conditions, such as sleep apnea and fibromyalgia.
More recently, My Pillow has faced criticism for its claims about the effectiveness of its products in preventing and treating COVID-19. Lindell has made numerous claims about the effectiveness of My Pillow products in combating the virus, despite a lack of scientific evidence to support these claims.
Overall, the controversy surrounding My Pillow has raised questions about the company’s business practices and the credibility of its claims about its products. While the company’s pillows and bedding products may be of high quality, its association with controversial statements and advertising claims has led some customers to question whether they want to support the brand.
My Pillow vs. Nectar Premier
The My Pillow Mattress is designed with several layers of foam, each serving a different purpose. Its customization options make it a great choice for those who have specific sleep needs. In contrast, the Nectar Premier is made with memory foam and gel-infused foam layers, designed to provide both support and cooling.
In terms of firmness, the My Pillow Mattress offers four different options to choose from, while the Nectar Premier is available in one universal firmness level. The My Pillow Mattress’s customization options may be a selling point for those who prefer a specific level of support.
Both mattresses offer pressure point relief, but the Nectar Premier is specifically designed to alleviate pressure on the hips and shoulders, making it a great option for side sleepers. The My Pillow Mattress does a decent job of relieving pressure points, but its primary focus is on customization and overall support.
When it comes to durability, both mattresses are designed to last. However, the Nectar Premier offers a longer warranty period of lifetime, compared to the My Pillow Mattress’s 10-year warranty.
In terms of price, the Nectar Premier is priced in the mid to high range, while the My Pillow Mattress falls in the high range. However, the My Pillow Mattress’s customization options may make it a worthwhile investment for those who value a specific level of support.
Ultimately, choosing between the My Pillow Mattress and the Nectar Premier will come down to personal preference. If you prioritize customization and overall support, the My Pillow Mattress may be the right choice for you. If you’re a side sleeper and prioritize pressure point relief, the Nectar Premier may be the better option. Regardless of which mattress you choose, both offer quality construction and a comfortable night’s sleep.
The My Pillow 2.0
The MyPillow 2.0 is a pillow that was designed by Mike Lindell. It is made with a special type of foam that is supposed to provide support and comfort. The MyPillow 2.0 is also supposed to be hypoallergenic and to help with sleep apnea.
The MyPillow 2.0 has been advertised on TV and in newspapers. It has also been endorsed by several celebrities.
Some people have praised the MyPillow 2.0 for its comfort and support. Others have said that it is too expensive. Still others have said that it is not as effective as it is advertised to be.
If you are interested in trying the MyPillow 2.0, you can order it online or from a MyPillow retailer.
Let’s break down the unique characteristics and offerings of the MyPillow line, specifically focusing on the MyPillow Classic:
Firmness Levels
Not One-Size-Fits-All: MyPillow doesn’t use a traditional firmness scale. Instead, they offer four different fill levels (yellow, white, green, blue) vaguely corresponding to soft, medium-soft, medium-firm, and firm.
Customization: The key idea is that you can remove or add fill to adjust the firmness to your liking. This can be trial and error.
Materials
Interlocking Poly Foam Fill: MyPillow uses shredded polyurethane foam cut into puzzle-like pieces designed to interlock, which is intended to prevent clumping and shifting.
Cotton Cover: The pillow comes with a simple cotton cover.
Care Instructions
Machine Washable & Dryable: A significant benefit is that the entire pillow (both cover and fill) is machine washable and can be tossed in the dryer.
Durability: While convenient, frequent washing can potentially break down the foam fill over time.
Things to Note About MyPillow
Marketing vs. Reality: MyPillow’s marketing can be rather hyped, claiming it’s the “most comfortable pillow you’ll ever own”. Individual experiences vary greatly.
Fill Shift: While the interlocking fill aims to limit it, some users still report filling shifting to an extent over time.
Not for Everyone: The MyPillow may not suit all sleepers. Those who prefer a solid memory foam feel or precisely designed down pillows may not find it ideal.
Here’s a breakdown of the similarities between MyPillow and Sleepgram pillows, with a focus on features that might appeal to combination sleepers:
Similarities
Adjustability: Both MyPillow and Sleepgram offer some level of customization. MyPillow’s shredded fill lets you take out or add foam, while Sleepgram has a removable inner pillow for loft adjustment. This is helpful for combo sleepers who change positions and need varying support levels throughout the night.
Machine Washable: A convenient feature for those who want an easily maintained pillow, making both options suitable for combo sleepers who move around and might sweat more in different positions.
Affordability: Both brands stay within a relatively budget-friendly price range compared to some premium pillows on the market.
Fluffy Feels: While not identical, both pillows have a fluffy, somewhat pliable feel due to their fill materials (shredded foam in MyPillow vs. down alternative in Sleepgram). However, Sleepgram’s down alternative might feel a tad softer than the MyPillow.
Key Differences to Consider
Support: Sleepgram may offer slightly more contoured support due to its inner pillow design, potentially better for side sleepers within a combination sleeping pattern.
Temperature Regulation: Sleepgram’s down-alternative fill tends to be more breathable than shredded foam, potentially making it cooler for hot sleepers.
Response Time: The Sleepgram’s down-alternative fill has a quicker bounce-back than MyPillow’s foam, making it somewhat more responsive to movement (helpful for combo sleepers).
Bottom Line
Both MyPillow and Sleepgram offer adjustable features and easy maintenance, which can be positives for combination sleepers. However, Sleepgram may provide more targeted support and a slightly cooler sleep experience.
Recommendations
Read Reviews: Look into reviews specifically from verified combination sleepers to get a sense of how each pillow has performed for them.
Consider Trial Periods: Many brands offer sleep trials to test the pillows out at home – a great option for figuring out what works for your unique sleep style.
Here’s a breakdown of how Casper and MyPillow compare in terms of cooling, fill material, and distribution:
Cooling Features
Casper: Casper pillows often prioritize breathability. They use open-cell foam, which is designed to allow air flow, plus a breathable cover made from cotton or other airy fabrics. Some models may even feature dedicated cooling technologies.
MyPillow: MyPillow’s shredded foam fill can trap some heat, making it less ideal for hot sleepers. While machine washable, the foam itself doesn’t have specific cooling properties.
The company Bed in a Box was one of the pioneers of offering compressed mattresses online. Their Silk Symphony Mattress is a two-sided mattress with one side being relatively soft and the other firm. This mattress comes with a 120-night trial and 20-year warranty. Bed in a Box makes all their mattresses in the USA. This company has been around long before the latest wave of online brands. They also offer the whole bedroom solution from pillows to adjustable beds.

My Silk Symphony Findings
I first tried the soft side of the mattress and that’s the side I like best. Here’s a picture with my bowling ball that illustrates how much sinkage you can expect. The bowling ball weighs 14 lbs.
Here’s the same bowling ball on the firm side of the mattress where you will notice it doesn’t sink much at all.
I unzipped the cover to see how it was constructed.
Here’s a picture of the layers.
This video will how each layer reacts. In this video the top layer is the soft side. The bottom layer is the firm side.
To give you an even better idea of how this mattress feels, here’s a video that illustrates motion transfer on the mattress.
Here’s a video showing how fast heat dissipates from the top of the mattress. I found this mattress to sleep fairly cool for being all foam.
My Silk Symphony Recommendation
The Silk Symphony is an excellent mattress for people who want an initial plush feel but want really good support. Although it looks like you can really sink into this mattress, I found that it gives great support and will sleep cool. This is the first mattress I tried where there is silk blended into the cover. I’m not sure how much silk is used compared to other material but it definitely has a silky smooth feel and silk is great for regulating temperature as anyone with a silk comforter can tell you.
The Silk Symphony is on the pricier end of the spectrum at \$1,599 for a queen size however it is two-sided and you get two comfort levels built in so it would make a great mattress for guests.
Also, because it has two firmness options, It is great for all sleep types.
The Cloud Ten mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that is designed to provide pressure relief and support. It is made with a combination of memory foam and support foam, and it has a soft, plush feel.
The Cloud Ten mattress is a good option for sleepers who are looking for a soft mattress with good pressure relief. It is also a good option for couples, as it is able to conform to the bodies of both partners.
Here are some of the pros and cons of the Cloud Ten mattress:
Pros:
Soft, plush feel
Good pressure relief
Conforms to the body well
Good for couples
100-night sleep trial
Cons:
May be too soft for some sleepers
May not be supportive enough for heavier sleepers
May retain heat
Overall, the Cloud Ten mattress is a good option for sleepers who are looking for a soft mattress with good pressure relief. It is also a good option for couples. However, it is important to note that it may be too soft for some sleepers and that it may not be supportive enough for heavier sleepers.
Want to sleep on Cloud Nine? Do one better and try out the Cloud Ten Mattress. If you crave a soft mattress that contours really well, the Cloud Ten memory foam mattress is for you. There are hundreds of mattress brands online right now all competing for your dollar so it’s important to know what you can expect before ordering. The Clould Ten, in my opinion, lives up to its claims.
Overview of the Cloud Ten Mattress
You can order the Cloud Ten mattress direct from their website. The mattress is made in the USA and should arrive at your door about a week after ordering. It comes with a 100-night trial where you can return it within 100 nights if it’s not for you and returns are free.
Here’s a quick video overview of the Cloud Ten mattress. Again, among the hundreds of mattresses I have reviewed, this one skews a little more towards to soft end of the spectrum.
Cloud Ten Mattress Construction
Below are the construction details of the mattress as listed on their website. You’ll notice that one of the layers has 7 zones of support so that your entire body is aligned as you lay across the mattress.
How Much Does a Cloud Ten Mattress Cost?
Below are the current prices of the mattress.

My Cloud Ten Mattress Findings
The Cloud Ten bed has a good amount of sink. Here’s a picture of my 16 lb. ball on the mattress
Here’s a peek inside the mattress showing you how each layer reacts. You really sink into the top layer of this mattress. People craving a soft cradling mattress will appreciate this feel.
No need to worry about motion transfer with this mattress either. It’s all foam but more specifically, dense foam throughout which absorbs motion to keep your partner from waking you up at night.
The video below shows how well this mattress dissipates heat. It is sort of middle of the pack among the other mattresses I have tried. I think that’s because there is denser foam on the top of the mattress.
My Cloud Ten Mattress Recommendation
If you want a soft and supportive all foam mattress, the Cloud Ten is a great choice. Among the online brands, it is on the pricier side. However, if the feel is right, it’s worth every penny. You can also take advantage of the 100-day trial if it turns out it’s not right for you.

There are a few possible reasons why the Haven mattress was discontinued.
One possibility is that it was not selling well enough. The Haven mattress was a relatively new product, and it may not have had enough time to gain market share. Additionally, the mattress market is very competitive, and there are many other well-established brands that consumers can choose from.
Another possibility is that the Haven mattress was discontinued due to production costs. The Haven mattress was made with high-quality materials, which made it more expensive to produce than some other mattresses. If the company was struggling to make a profit on the mattress, they may have decided to discontinue it.
Finally, it is also possible that the Haven mattress was discontinued because the company was changing its focus. The company that made the Haven mattress, Haven Sleep, was acquired by another company, Sleep Country Canada, in 2022. It is possible that Sleep Country Canada decided to focus on its own brands of mattresses and discontinue the Haven mattress.
Unfortunately, the company has not publicly released any information about why the Haven mattress was discontinued. Therefore, it is difficult to say for sure what the reason was. However, the possibilities listed above are the most likely reasons.
The Haven Premier mattress is an all-foam mattress that promises a 5-star sleep with its proprietary 5-layer construction. While this mattress may not be for everyone, it will appeal to sleepers looking for superior pressure relief, minimal motion transfer, and the latest cooling technology all for an incredible price.
Overview of the Haven Premier Mattress
You can order the Haven exclusively through their website. My mattress a week after placing the order and arrived compressed in a box as seen in the video below. You will probably need 2 people to get this upstairs if you buy a queen-size or larger. When you open the mattress it will come to life relatively quickly. If you open it before 12pm you should be able to sleep on it that evening although there may be some lingering off-gassing but that should go away after a day or two.
How Much Does the Haven Premier Cost?
Below are the current retail prices of the Haven Premier before any current discounts.
Construction of the Haven Premier
This mattress has 5 layers detailed below.
Quilted Cover – A high quality 450GSM washable quilted cover, this fabric is designed to work with the body’s natural thermal capabilities. It helps you to feel warm when you are cold and cool when you feel hot.
Fireproof Cloth – All Natural Organic Cotton is wrapped all the way around the Haven Premier. This fabric is eco-friendly, healthy and allows for exceptional airflow.
3″ Haven cooling buoyancy foam – Where the magic happens: Our custom blended foam with gel infusion, reacts faster than memory foam and has better support for more pressure relief, all while sleeping cooler.
2″ Supportive transition foam – Perforated holes that help the mattress breath and provide extra responsiveness.
7″ Haven high density foam – 7″ Haven High Density Foam Base – At 7″ our bases provide superior stability for every layer. It’s one reason our Haven foam gel mattresses have at least 1″ extra height compared to other brands And at 2.4lb of foam core density, this is at least 30% more than the market average, making it extra durable
Fireproof cloth – All Natural Organic Cotton is wrapped all the way around the Haven Premier. This fabric is eco-friendly, healthy and allows for exceptional airflow.
Base cover – A washable, durable and replaceable layer to keep your mattress clean. Just unzip at the side and it’s ready to be removed for cleaning.
My Haven Premier Mattress Findings
The Haven Premier has a quilted foam cover. As you can see in the picture below the quilting runs horizontally along the mattress. You can’t feel the ridges at all but it by stitching the mattress this way, it provides a more consistent feel across the mattress and prevents sagging. I put my 14 lb. bowling ball on the mattress to show how much it sinks. Most of the sinkage occurs from the quilted top layer and the top layer of comfort foam. This is also a thick fabric cover so it won’t wear down easily or tear but still stretches so that you get maximum contouring from the foam layers below. A typical 3 layer online foam mattress will have a stretch knit cover but it’s usually thin and is prone to tears.
This mattress really shines when you sleep on your side. It has great pressure relief for your hips and shoulders but not too much sink. I didn’t sleep hot on this mattress and was still able to change positions easily. That’s in large part to the 3 inches of buoyancy foam which is the top comfort layer of the mattress. It will contour and recover quickly and doesn’t trap as much heat compared to traditional memory foam.
I rarely sleep on my back but as you can see below even though you sink a fair amount into this mattress you are still getting good support. I wouldn’t recommend this for dedicated stomach sleeping but it is great for side and back sleeping.
Here you can see the different layers of the mattress. The blue layer is the buoyancy foam that gives this mattress its unique feel. When you pair that with the quilted foam in the cover, you get a more luxurious feel as opposed to a typical 3 layer mattress with a simple knit cover.
Final Thoughts on the Haven Mattress
This mattress easily justifies its retail price but when you take into consideration the massive discount it’s a steal. On top of that, Haven offers an 18-month trial. This is one of the longest trials for any mattress brand. You can try it out in your house for a year and a half and if you still don’t like it within that time, you can return it for a full refund. They don’t charge any shipping fees to deliver or return it. If you decide to keep it, you are backed by their, “Everlasting Warranty”. What stood out with this warranty is that as long as you own the mattress they will warrant against any defects but also any impressions over 1″ which again is a leader in the industry.
Finally, if price is a concern, Haven offers great financing terms so you can break down the cost into small monthly payments so that you can start getting better sleep now and pay it off over time.
I highly recommend the Haven to sleepers that prefer a plush feeling mattress without the drawbacks of heat retention and lack of support. This mattress has zero motion transfer and is great for maximum pressure relief.
Most mattresses aren’t made for side sleepers. That’s one reason you wake up with shoulder, neck, and back pain. The Pillow Cube Mattress Deluxe is specifically designed for the needs of side sleepers. The top third is pillowy soft so your shoulder sinks in and the middle is supportive for your hips so that your spine is perfectly aligned. Now you can finally sleep comfortably and wake up refreshed.

The Pillow Cube mattress is a hybrid mattress that is designed to be especially comfortable for side sleepers. It has the following main features:
Zoned support: The mattress is divided into three zones, each of which provides different levels of support for the head, shoulders, and hips. This helps to keep the spine aligned and reduce pressure points.
Premium memory foam: The mattress uses a high-quality memory foam that is both soft and supportive. This helps to cradle the body and prevent it from sinking in too deeply.
Breathable cover: The mattress cover is made of a breathable fabric that helps to keep you cool and comfortable all night long.
Other features of the Pillow Cube mattress include:
Edge support: The mattress has reinforced edges that prevent sagging and provide support even when you’re sleeping on the edge of the bed.
Motion isolation: The mattress is designed to isolate motion, so that you won’t be disturbed by your partner moving around in bed.
Hypoallergenic: The mattress is hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and mold.
Overall, the Pillow Cube mattress is a good choice for side sleepers who are looking for a mattress that is both comfortable and supportive. It is also a good choice for couples who want a mattress that can isolate motion.
If you are a side sleeper and constantly flip from one side to the other during the night, pay attention. Pillow Cube, known for their odd shaped but surprisingly effective side sleeping pillow, now has a mattress designed exclusively for side sleepers, the Pillow Cube Mattress. This mattress takes all the innovative parts of the cube pillow and incorporates them into a mattress that supports your hips but sinks in at your shoulders. Below are my findings.
Ordering Your Cube Pillow Mattress
Chances are you are searching for this mattress because you enjoy the cube pillow. If you aren’t familiar with the Cube PIllow, then I strongly suggest trying one out along with the mattress to see what the heck you have been missing out on.
It’s not uncommon to find a zoned coil system these days but the the pillow cube has created a mattress that will give you that extra sink in your shoulder so you aren’t constantly flipping around all night trying to get comfortable again.
Construction of the Pillow Cube Mattress
The Pillow Cube mattress is a hybrid mattress, meaning that it is made with a combination of coils and foam. It has a three-layer construction, as follows:
Top layer: The top layer of the mattress is made of a premium memory foam. This layer is soft and conforming, but it is also supportive enough to keep your spine aligned.
Middle layer: The middle layer of the mattress is made of a high-density foam. This layer provides additional support and helps to distribute your weight evenly.
Bottom layer: The bottom layer of the mattress is made of a coil support system. This layer provides durability and stability, and it also helps to prevent sagging.
The Pillow Cube mattress also has a breathable cover that helps to keep you cool and comfortable all night long.
The mattress is constructed in a way that maximizes support and comfort for side sleepers. The top layer of memory foam cradles the shoulders and hips, while the middle layer of foam and the bottom layer of coils provide support for the rest of the body. This helps to keep the spine aligned and reduce pressure points.
The Pillow Cube mattress is also designed to isolate motion, so that you won’t be disturbed by your partner moving around in bed. This makes it a good choice for couples who sleep together.
Imagine sleeping on a mattress as comfortable as the Cube Pillow. Well, wait no more! Most mattress brands try to appeal to all types of sleepers, Pillow Cube is lazer focused on side sleepers, which is btw, the healthiest sleep position. I really like that the there is a perimeter support around the side so you don’t feel like you will slide off. A cube true to its name.
My Pillow Cube Mattress Recommendation
Need more convincing? My biggest complaint about the hundreds of mattresses I have reviewed over the years is that they don’t adequately address shoulder issues. Despite my best efforts, I still can’t stay a dedicated side sleeper and often roll onto my stomach because my should hurts after about 2-3 hours.
The Pillow Cube Mattress solves this but you need to use both the Pillow Cube and the Mattress to get the full effect.
Of course not. If you are at all familiar with the Ice Cube Pillow, you will know that this is one of the coolest sleeping mattresses available.
What if I don’t like it?
I highly doubt that. But, if you are somehow unimpressed with this mattresss miracle, you can return it for a refund within 60 days. Yes, that’s less than most online mattress companies but to be honest, you will know within a week whether or not this is your mattress 4 life.
he Pillow Cube mattress costs \$799.99 for a twin size and \$1,899.99 for a king size. There are also queen and California king sizes available, priced at $1,299.99 and $1,699.99, respectively.
The Pillow Cube mattress is a bit more expensive than some other mattresses on the market, but it is important to note that it is a hybrid mattress that uses premium materials. Hybrid mattresses are typically more expensive than traditional foam or spring mattresses, but they also offer better support and durability.
The Pillow Cube mattress also comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. This means that you can try the mattress out for 100 nights and return it for a full refund if you are not satisfied. The 10-year warranty also covers any defects in the mattress.

They are all hybrid mattresses that use a combination of coils and foam to provide support and comfort. They also all have zoned support systems that help to keep the spine aligned.
Ultimately, the best mattress for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you are looking for a mattress that is similar to the Pillow Cube mattress, I recommend considering one of the mattresses listed above.

Ananda is a company that offers a complete sleep solution. They offer a memory foam mattress with cooling cover and an adjustable base with all the popular features for an extremely competitive price. A queen size Ananda mattress and adjustable base retails for $1,299. Both the base and mattress come shipped to your door in a box and both come with a 120 night trial with free returns.
Overview of the Ananda Mattress
Here’s a quick video overview of the entire sleep system which again includes the adjustable bed and mattress.
As you can see below the adjustable bed and mattress both come in a box and are shipped straight to your door. No need to schedule a delivery.
I first setup the adjustable bed which is very straightforward. The queen size basically comes folded in half.
All you need to do is unfold the base and all the parts can be found there.
The first step is to screw in the legs and take out all the other pieces including the remote.
Each leg has 3 individual pieces that can be screwed on top of each other. This allows you to adjust the height of the bed so that it fits in your existing bed frame.
Here’s a closeup of where to screw in the legs.
Once all size legs are screwed in you can then make sure the wiring is connected for power and then flip the bed over to plug it in.
The remove comes synced with the bed so you can start using it right away.
Here’s what it looks like all setup. There is a bar at the foot of the bed to keep the mattress from sliding off.
You get 3 options to operate the Adjustable Base: Backlit Wireless Remote Control (Included), “Ananda Base Wifi” Remote Control App for Phones or Mobile Devices (Alexa, Siri, Google), or Voice-activated commands through the Amazon Alexa App and Device (not included). This means you can ask Alexa to raise or lower your bed without having to use your remote!
After you get the base setup its time to get out the mattress. It comes wrapped in a box.
Here’s what it looks like right out of the box.
Here’s a picture of the mattress just a few minutes after opening. As you can see it is already fully expanded.
How Much Does the Ananda Mattress Cost?
Below are the prices of the Ananda Sleep System as of this writing. Remember, you get both the mattress and adjustable bed so this is a really good deal.
[table id=57 /]
Construction of the Ananda Mattress
Below are the construction details of the mattress. It is an all foam mattress that is 12 inches deep.
My Ananda Sleep Findings
Starting out with the mattress, it is promoted as a medium firmness which I would say is accurate. Maybe just slightly softer than most all foam mattresses labeled medium firm. Here’s a picture that illustrates how much sinkage you get with my 14 lb. bowling ball.
Here’s another look at sinkage with the cover off.
It has a zippered cover which is machine washable although I always recommend a mattress protector as sometimes these covers can be hard to get back on.
Here’s a video illustrating motion transfer on the mattress.
Here’s a look at the inside of the mattress so you can get a better sense of how the layers work and how it will feel.
My Ananda Recommendation
For the money, it’s really hard to beat all that you get with this mattress. If you are already in the market for an adjustable bed, this price alone for the adjustable is a great value. When you add in the mattress it makes it an even harder deal to resist. I think the mattress will appeal to most sleepers and all sleep styles. It is made with quality foam that doesn’t sleep hot and recovers relatively quickly. Since you get a 120 night trial on both the mattress and adjustable it is definitely worth trying. If you aren’t happy with either you can return them but if for instance, the mattress isn’t ideal, it would make a great guest room mattress and you can put your existing mattress on the adjustable.

The tulo Mattress is a bed in a box offering from Mattress Firm. Tulo means “sleep” in the Chichewa language, a widely known language in the country of Malawi. It’s a catchy name that is easy to remember. The tulo comes in 3 different firmness options soft, medium and firm. For this review, I received a medium version. What really sets Tulo apart from the competition isn’t necessarily the construction of the mattress but the fact that you can try out the tulo at one of the thousands of Mattress Firm stores across the country.
Overview and Unboxing the tulo Mattress
Here’s a video overview of the mattress…
A queen size Tulo retails for $650. It comes compressed and roll packed in a box like the one below. As you can see, this box was a little damaged but the mattress wasn’t.
When you open the box you get a nice greeting from tulo and a letter opener. Over the years I have developed a nice collection of these.
Here’s a picture of the mattress right out of the box. Once you cut the plastic it will start taking in air quickly.
One thing I noticed is that this mattress sprung into shape very quickly. I think that’s because it was manufactured recently. Mattresses that stay compressed in a box longer, take longer to recover but that wasn’t the case with the tulo.
Construction of the tulo Mattress
10″ Depth
Shipping weight:
Twin: 50 lbs. Twin XL 52 lbs. Full 64 lbs. Queen 75 lbs. King 91 lbs. California King: 94 lbs.
Cover: knitted Polyester and Tencel blended fabric mated to a reinforced Polyester Elastan blended material for maximum durability.
Top Layer: 2” blend of titanium particles and high density Cool Flow ventilated memory foam. Material density is 3.25 lb/cubicfoot.
2nd Layer: “peak & valley” design, 1.5” responsive firm material with a density of 2.5 lb/cubic foot
3rd layer: 1.5” of strut reinforcing technology engineered into high resiliency firm foam to minimize material fatigue and reduce surface compression. Material density is 2.5 lb/cubic foot.
Foundation layer: high density poly urethane material designed to complement the technologies positioned above this layer. Material density is 1.8 lb/cubic foot.
My tulo Mattress Findings
This mattress skews a little towards the firmer end of the spectrum. I reviewed the medium firm and found it to be a little firm at first. However when you lay across it, you get great support and still get good pressure relief. This mattress is made in the USA and from what I can tell is top of the line foam. None of the corners are smushed together which means they didn’t over glue the pieces. It also was made recently and didn’t stay in a box for too long which also helps it take shape faster.
Here’s a picture of my bowling ball on the mattress to show you how much it sinks.
Here’s another video that illustrates motion transfer on the mattress.
Here’s a peek inside the mattress to show you how each layer reacts.
My tulo Recommendation
If you are new to the world of online mattresses, this is a great introduction. You can just head to your nearest Mattress Firm and try one out to see for yourself the value you can get with online brands. A queen size Tulo currently retails for $700 but now you can get one for $499.
Tempurpedic is arguably the most popular mattress brand in the United States and has the most name recognition. The name Tempurpedic and memory foam are almost synonymous. But lately, there has been an explosion of new online and store brands that aim to compete with Tempurpedic not only on price but also on feel. I have slept on hundreds of mattresses during my time as a mattress reviewer and I can get a good or bad impression of a mattress quickly, no pun intended.
In this review, I take a close look at the Tempflow brand and how it compares to Tempurpedic. I often don’t make many comparisons to Tempurpedic because it does have a unique feel, largely due to the quality. Both Tempurpedic and Tempflow offer different models and firmness levels for your sleep needs but where they seem to differ the most is price. Tempflow is on average at least a thousand dollars less than a Tempurpedic, all with a 120-night sleep trial and industry-leading, 40-year warranty.
Ordering the Tempurpedic vs. Tempflow
Both of these mattresses can be ordered online through their respective websites. They also are available to try in showrooms but Tempurpedic has the largest national footprint for showrooms. They can be demoed at any Mattress Firm location or other major sleep retailers. Tempflow has a showroom in Agoura Hills, CA, and may be available to try in other showrooms soon. Tempflow lists which of their models are comparable to the Tempurpedic mattresses on their website so you can try a Tempurpedic locally and order a comparable Tempflow online and take advantage of their 120-day trial.
How Much Does the Tempflow Cost in Comparison to Tempurpedic Models?
On average you will be paying considerably less for a Tempflow than a Tempurpedic. For example, the Tempflow Cloud is currently selling for $1,319 with a discount while the compatible Tempurpedic Cloud is selling for $1,399 after a discount. You really notice the savings though when you compare the higher-end models. For example, the Tempflow-Glacier Elite sells for $2,999 after discount while the comparable Tempur-Pro Breeze retails for $4,099 after discount.
In terms of the trial period, Tempflow is a 120-day trial while the Tempurpedic is 90 days, so you basically get an extra month to try out the Tempflow.
As for warranty, Tempflow is offering a 40-year warranty while Tempurpedic has a 10-year warranty.
Construction of the Tempflow and Tempurpedic Mattresses
Below are the construction details listed on the Tempflow website.
Here are the construction details listed on the Tempurpedic website.

2

3

4
Ventilated TEMPUR-APR® Material
Our most pressure-relieving material ever—enhanced with an ultra-breathable design Exclusive to LUXEbreeze°
My Tempurpedic vs Tempflow Findings
I was invited out to the Tempflow store to try out their mattress and they also had a comparable Tempurpedic so it was a perfect opportunity to see how they compare.
What sets Tempflow apart from all the other brands I have tried is that they have a patented cooling system where they create channels in the memory foam for heat to dissipate. This method in my opinion is superior to any phase change cooling technology because I find that the phase change cooling material only has a temporary effect and lasts for about 20 minutes or so before the mattress starts to heat up.
This is illustrated in the picture below.

Its very soft and quick reacting surface works rapidly in any environment to provide you with optimal pressure point reduction for the joints, while still supporting the back with its resilient lower layers.
This hybrid mattress is perfect for those who want something between a memory foam and inner-spring design. You will still get a soft surface, but the Flex-Comfort layer makes this model more buoyant and therefore, perfect for those who do not like an overly plush mattress.
With the most use of the stiffer/firmer HD Biogreen in the surface layers, greater depth of body penetration will occur, while still providing optimal support. This allows this mattress reduce pressure for the shoulders and hips, while suiting heavier individuals, back sleepers, and most back pain sufferers.
The soft over thicker and firmer HD Biogreen surface gives a dimension of comfort, with the most optimal support. The stiffer base will work well for heavier individuals, back sleepers, and most back pain sufferers.
My Recommendation for a Tempflow vs. Tempurpedic.
Both the Tempflow and Tempurpedic are very high-quality mattresses. They use dense foam which means that it will contour better and last longer. With Tempurpedic being a household name, and a pioneer in the memory foam mattress category, they will always command a higher price point. Tempurpedic can be hard to beat on feel. Just keep in mind that in my opinion, Tempurpedic does skew a bit firmer than other mattresses on the market so even their, “soft” model may feel more like a medium.
I am a big fan of the Ventilated and Kool-Flow technology in the Tempflow mattresses and over the course of the night, it does a better job of dissipating heat than just about all other memory foam mattresses I have tried.
Given the Tempflow is on average less than comparable Tempurpedic models, and they have a generous 120 night trial period, I would be inclined to give the Tempflow a try if you are looking for a high-quality mattress with an industry-leading warranty and great customer service.

Here we have added our innovative German Cut-out Technology which helps to align your spine giving you a healthier night’s sleep. This technology gives you support in your lower back and shoulder areas while also helping the Emma Mattress to adapt to you.
My Emma Mattress Findings
As you can see in the picture below the Emma mattress sinks quite a bit. It is even more pronounced as you add more weight. This makes it an ideal mattress for people that like to sink in the mattress and get maximum pressure relief.
The video below illustrates motion transfer. Since it’s an all foam mattress, motion is contained. What I found interesting is that the top layer is very resilient and recovers almost instantly. This gives the mattress just a little bit of bounce.
The cover is made for optimal airflow. It is a zippered cover so is removable as well. There is venting along the side so air can dissipate from the top and sides. The cover also grips the mattress better than other covers I have tried. This gives it a solid feel. It also has handles form making it easier to rotate and transport the mattress.
Here’s how each layer of the mattress looks.
Here you can see more of the inside of the mattress and where the holes in the base layer are placed to provide better contouring for your shoulders.
This video shows how each layer reacts. The top layer sinks and recovers quickly while the transition layer provides the support and pressure relief.
The cover has handles stitched into the sides to make rotating and transporting easier.

My Emma Mattress Recommendation
Emma offers three different types of mattresses – the Emma Original, the Emma Hybrid, and the Emma Original Foam. Here is a breakdown of which mattress may be best for each sleeping position:
Back sleepers: Back sleepers generally require a mattress that offers both support and comfort. The Emma Original and the Emma Hybrid mattresses are both good options for back sleepers. The Emma Original mattress offers a balanced medium-firm feel that supports the spine, while the Emma Hybrid offers additional support with pocket springs.
Side sleepers: Side sleepers generally require a mattress that offers pressure relief and support for the shoulders and hips. The Emma Original and the Emma Hybrid mattresses can both work well for side sleepers, but the Emma Original Foam mattress may be the best option due to its softer, more contouring foam layers that help relieve pressure points.
Stomach sleepers: Stomach sleepers generally require a mattress that offers firm support to prevent the hips from sinking too deeply into the mattress. The Emma Original and Emma Hybrid mattresses can both offer good support for stomach sleepers due to their firmer feel.
Combination sleepers: Combination sleepers who move between sleeping positions may require a mattress that offers both support and flexibility. The Emma Hybrid mattress is a good option for combination sleepers due to its combination of foam and pocket springs that offer support and pressure relief while allowing for ease of movement.
Overall, the best Emma mattress for you will depend on your individual preferences and needs. However, the Emma Original and Emma Hybrid mattresses are both versatile options that can work well for a variety of sleeping positions.
I really enjoyed the feel of this mattress. You get a somewhat soft mattress without all the drawbacks. You get to sink into the Emma but it doesn’t sleep nearly as hot as other soft mattresses. I think that’s in large part to the open cell foam layer at the top and the design of the cover. I recommend this mattress for side and back and occasional stomach sleepers that want a soft mattress where you sink into it just a bit.
I found it very easy to change positions on this mattress and when you do, the mattress recovers quickly so you aren’t left with impressions. This mattress comes with a 100 night trial and a 10 year guarantee. If you aren’t happy with it during the 100 nights, returns are free as well.
Emma Mattress vs. Nectar
The Emma mattress and the Nectar mattress are both popular foam mattresses that are available in several countries. Here is a comparison of each model of Emma mattress to each model of Nectar mattress:
Emma Original vs. Nectar Original: Both mattresses are made with memory foam and offer a medium-firm feel. The Emma Original has a more balanced feel with a top layer of breathable foam, while the Nectar Original has a thicker layer of memory foam and may feel slightly softer. Both mattresses offer good motion isolation and pressure relief, but the Emma Original may be a better option for those who sleep hot due to its breathable top layer.
Emma Hybrid vs. Nectar Lush: Both mattresses combine foam and pocket springs for a balance of support and pressure relief. The Emma Hybrid has a thinner layer of memory foam and a firmer feel, while the Nectar Lush has a thicker layer of memory foam and a slightly softer feel. The Emma Hybrid may be a better option for those who prefer a firmer mattress and want more support, while the Nectar Lush may be better for those who want a softer feel and more contouring.
Emma Original Foam vs. Nectar Memory Foam: Both mattresses are made entirely of foam and offer a soft, contouring feel. The Emma Original Foam has a slightly firmer feel than the Nectar Memory Foam and may offer better support for back sleepers. The Nectar Memory Foam has a thicker top layer of memory foam and may be a better option for side sleepers who need more pressure relief.
Overall, both Emma and Nectar offer high-quality foam mattresses that can provide good support and comfort for a variety of sleeping positions. The main differences between the two brands come down to the specific construction and feel of each mattress, so it’s important to choose the one that best suits your individual needs and preferences.

The 2920 mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that was made by 2920 Sleep. It was designed to provide pressure relief and support for all types of sleepers. The mattress had three layers of foam: a soft top layer, a firmer middle layer, and a dense base layer.
The top layer of the 2920 mattress was made of a proprietary foam called “Micro Air Coil Foam.” This foam was designed to be soft and responsive, while also providing pressure relief. The middle layer of the mattress was made of a denser foam that provided support for the spine. The base layer of the mattress was made of the densest foam, which provided stability and durability.
The 2920 mattress was available in a variety of sizes, including twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king. It was also backed by a 365-night sleep trial and a forever warranty.
However, 2920 Sleep is no longer in business, so the 2920 mattress is no longer available. If you are looking for a mattress that is similar to the 2920 mattress, you may want to consider the following options:
The Level Sleep mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that has three zones of support. It is designed to provide pressure relief and support for all types of sleepers.
The Nectar mattress is a 12-inch all-foam mattress that has five layers of foam. It is designed to be soft and supportive, while also providing pressure relief.
The Tuft & Needle mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that has two layers of foam. It is designed to be soft and responsive, while also providing support for the spine.
The 2920 mattress is a responsive memory foam mattress that is breathable and supportive. Although this is isn’t the cheapest mattress on the market, coming in at $995 for a queen, it is a quality build and should appeal to most sleepers making it a great choice for couples with different firmness preferences.
Overview of the 2920 Mattress
The 2920 mattress can be ordered direct from their website. It will arrive in about a week after ordering and comes with a 100-night free trial. All this is fairly standard for an online mattress company. It is also made in the USA.
Here’s a video of me on the 2290 mattress. It sort of reminds me of the Leesa mattress but just felt a little more substantial.
2920 Mattress Construction
The 2920 mattress is 10 inches in depth with the following layers.
2″ inch layer of gel foam
1″ layer of support/transition foam
5.5″ support layer
1.5″ base layer
Here’s a look at the inside of the mattress and the layers.
2920 Mattress Findings
You’ll see that the 2920 has a little bit of bounce but not much motion transfer. I’ll attribute this to the 1″ support and comfort layer which is a foam/latex blend. It gives the mattress quicker recovery without sacrificing pressure relief.
Below is a video I shot with my thermal camera. This mattress sleeps fairly cool for an all foam mattress. The top layers of foam aren’t that dense which provides some breathability. I also attribute this to the stretch knit cover. In terms of how this compares to other mattresses with similar construction, I would say it is about average for heat retention. It will definitely sleep cooler than denser foam mattresses such as the Nectar and Cocoon.
Below is a video that shows how each layer of the 2920 mattress will react. As you can see in the video every layer of this mattress recovers quickly. The top layer is the slowest to recover but even that bounces back fast. This means that this mattress is easy to mover around on but you will sacrifice some pressure relief. I have found that denser foam mattresses will contour better and provide better pressure relief but a mattress like this is more breathable and easier to switch positions. There’s always some tradeoff depending on which material you go with and you just need to understand what you sleep priorities are.
My 2920 Mattress Recommendation
2920 isn’t the first and definitely won’t be the last online mattress offering. However it does offer another choice for consumers. For context, if you are looking for a mattress that recovers quick, sleeps cool for a foam bed and has minimal motion transfer, this would be a good choice. I found it to be a little firmer than the Leesa but softer than the firm version of the Cocoon mattress.
Aside from the mattress, 2920 also offers sheets and pillows. The sheets are made with organic cotton and are a 300 thread count.
The pillows look amazing as they are made with natural latex and have a knit cover.
When it comes to selecting the perfect mattress, comfort is paramount. Among the sea of options, the Allswell Brick Mattress stands out for its unique combination of firmness and support without sacrificing comfort. In this review, we delve into the features, construction, and performance of the Allswell Brick Mattress, exploring why it might be the ideal choice for those seeking a restful night’s sleep.
Overview of the Allswell Brick Mattress
The Allswell Brick Mattress is designed to cater to individuals who prefer a firmer sleeping surface. Constructed with high-quality materials, this mattress balances density with comfort, making it an appealing choice for various sleeping positions. The visually appealing design further enhances its suitability for contemporary bedrooms.
Upon unboxing the mattress, you will be greeted by a fresh, clean feel typical of new mattresses. Its sturdy construction ensures that it isn’t just a soft layer; rather, it provides substantial support while you sleep.
Features and Construction
One of the standout features of the Allswell Brick Mattress is its unique multi-layer construction. Here’s a closer look at its components:
1. High-Density Foam Layer: The top layer consists of breathable, high-density foam that offers a firm feel. This layer helps distribute body weight evenly while complying with the natural curves of your body.
2. Supportive Base: Beneath the foam layer lies a sturdy support base made of individually wrapped coils. This design enhances air circulation and adds additional support, preventing sagging over time.
3. Cooling Technology: The Allswell Brick Mattress features cooling gel-infused foam, which regulates temperature to ensure a comfortable sleep environment. Say goodbye to sweaty nights!
4. Cover Material: The mattress cover is made from soft fabric that feels luxurious against your skin. It’s also removable and washable, making it easy to maintain.
Comfort and Support
In my experience with the Allswell Brick Mattress, the balance of firmness and comfort is impressive. Those who often find softer mattresses lacking in support will appreciate how this mattress maintains spinal alignment. Side sleepers might notice a bit of pressure at the shoulders and hips; a mattress topper can easily remedy this if needed.
When you lie down, you feel cradled yet firmly supported. As someone who tends to switch between stomach and back sleeping, I found this mattress conducive to both positions. The high-density foam allows for just enough sinkage without feeling enveloped, maintaining an ideal body posture throughout the night.
Price Range and Trial Period
The Allswell Brick Mattress is competitively priced, making it accessible for a wide range of budgets. This mattress is currently priced at around $599 for a queen size, which is reasonable considering its quality and craftsmanship.
Allswell understands that making a decision on a mattress is significant, which is why they offer a 100-night trial period. This allows you to test the mattress at home, ensuring it meets your comfort and support needs. If you decide it’s not for you, returning it is straightforward and hassle-free.
Overall Impressions and Recommendations
The Allswell Brick Mattress truly embodies the phrase “firm but not hard.” It expertly balances comfort and support, making it a solid choice for anyone from young adults to seasoned sleepers. While it may not be the best option for those who prefer plush mattresses, its firmness is incredibly inviting for individuals who prioritize support and durability.
In addition to its comfort, the aesthetic design and cooling features make the Allswell Brick a smart buy. The easy maintenance through its washable cover further adds to its appeal.
If you’re on the lookout for a mattress that won’t break the bank but will deliver on quality, I highly recommend considering the Allswell Brick Mattress. With the added assurance of a generous trial period, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain in your search for a better sleep experience.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right mattress is crucial for your overall well-being. The Allswell Brick Mattress excels in providing the firm support many crave, while also ensuring comfort throughout the night. Whether you’re a back sleeper, stomach sleeper, or somewhere in between, this mattress is tailored to deliver a restful sleep experience. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to improve your sleep quality—give the Allswell Brick Mattress a try today!
The new Purple mattress models are very similar to the old models in terms of their overall design and construction. However, there are a few key differences:
Support system: The new Purple Hybrid and Hybrid Premier models use a support system of pocketed coils, while the old Original Purple model uses a support system of foam. This makes the new hybrid models more durable and supportive, especially for heavier sleepers.
Firmness levels: The new Purple mattresses come in three different firmness levels (firm, medium firm, and soft), while the old Original Purple model only came in one firmness level (medium firm). This gives consumers more flexibility to choose the mattress that best suits their individual needs.
Pricing: The new Purple mattresses are generally more expensive than the old models. However, they also offer more features and benefits, such as the hybrid support system and different firmness levels.
Here is a more detailed comparison of the new and old Purple mattress models:
Overall, the new Purple mattress models offer a number of advantages over the old models, including a hybrid support system, different firmness levels, and a more durable construction. However, they are also more expensive.
Whether or not the new Purple mattress models are worth the extra cost depends on your individual needs and budget. If you are looking for a mattress that is supportive, durable, and comes in a variety of firmness levels, then the new Purple Hybrid and Hybrid Premier models are a good option. However, if you are on a tight budget, then the old Original Purple model is still a good value.
Purple just launched 3 new mattresses to their line which incorporate their famous purple grid system that gives it a unique feel. So how do these mattresses compare to the original Purple mattress,? Let’s break them down so that you can make the right choice. In short, I recommend giving the original Purple a try first since it’s the most economical and has a great feel overall. The other mattresses offer a thicker grid system and springs which can make the mattress feel plusher.
The reasoning behind the numbers is that they correspond with the depth of the comfort grid system on the mattress. The Purple 2 has 2 inches, the Purple 3 has 3 inches and the Purple 4 has 4 inches of the polymer grid as illustrated below. All of the new Purple mattresses incorporate a spring system as the base layer.
The Original Purple
If you want the full breakdown on the Purple mattress, check out my full Purple Mattress Review. Basically, the Original is the only mattress in the Purple line that does not have springs. It will, therefore, have the least amount of motion transfer and will feel the firmest. I recommend this mattress for back and stomach sleepers while it will still accommodate side sleepers but if you want to go more plush, I would check out the Purple 3 or 4.
Purple 2
Below is a breakdown on the specifications of the Purple 2:
2” Smart Comfort Grid™
The New-School Classic. The bed that started it all—now with some serious upgrades.
Purple® Smart Comfort Grid™ for body-adaptive relief and support
7.5” Responsive Support Coils enhance dynamic pressure relief and spinal alignment
2-inch Purple® grid layer is ideal for back sleepers and those who prefer a slightly firmer feel to their mattress
Purple 3
The Purple 3 is sort of the medium feel among the line. It includes a pocket coil system and therefore will have some motion transfer but will be a bit bouncy, something lacking in the original mattress.
Here are the specs as listed on their website:
SUPER DUPER COMFY
3” Smart Comfort Grid™
The Sweet Spot. The zero-compromise compromise. Everybody gets what they want.
Purple® Smart Comfort Grid™ for body-adaptive relief and support
7.5” Responsive Support Coils enhance dynamic pressure relief and spinal alignment
3-inch Purple® grid layer is optimal for sleep position changers
Perfect balance of soft and firm for couples with mixed mattress-feel preferences who share the same bed
Purple 4
The Purple 4 is the plush luxury mattress. you get 4 inches of the gel layer which makes for a really heavy mattress! What I like about this mattress is that you get a plush feel where you will sink in more plus all the benefits of springs. The advantage is that it is still breathable given the grid system.
REALLY, REALLY, RIDICULOUSLY COMFY
.4
4” Smart Comfort Grid™
The Radical Magical. A straight-up scientific marvel. So comfortable, you’ll never want to leave your bed again.
Purple® Smart Comfort Grid™ for body-adaptive relief and support
7.5” Responsive Support Coils enhance dynamic pressure relief and spinal alignment
4-inch Purple® grid layer is ideal for any sleep position—especially side sleepers
Perfect for sleepers with a soft mattress-feel preference
Zero gravity-like feel for deep, whole body relaxation
Please keep in mind that these are heavy mattresses. Below are the dimensions and weights of each of the models.
Still wondering which Purple is right for you? Don’t worry too much as they all come with a 100 night no pressure guarantee. They will refund your money if you find it’s not right for you within 100 days.
Stomach and back sleepers will like the original purple and if you want some bounce go with the Purple 2.
Side sleepers will like the Purple 3 and 4 while the Purple 4 will be the most plush out of them all.
Purple is also an excellent choice for hot sleepers. The polymer grid which comprises the top layer of the mattress and makes it so unique is also extremely breathable. Air passes right through the top layer which means it won’t trap heat and will keep you temperature neutral all night long.
The Glad Grid mattress is a 3 layer foam mattress with a unique checker patterned cover. This mattress is designed to be soft for side sleeping and has some unique features that I haven’t found in any other mattress. I was given a queen size for review and after sleeping on it for 2 weeks I have been pleasantly surprised by how it feels as a side and occasional stomach sleeper.

My Glad Grid Findings
The first thing that struck me when unboxing this mattress was the checker pattern for the cover. It looks fantastic and although you will be covering it with sheets, I definitely give it credit for the design. Aside from the visual appeal, it also has handles on each side to make it easy to move or rotate.
The cover is also removable but I wouldn’t recommend removing it. If you need to clean it for some reason, there is a zipper at the bottom of the mattress.
As I mentioned, I’m primarily a side sleeper and this mattress is designed to allow you shoulders to sink in without losing back support. They do this by adding more of the comfort foam in the should area as seen below.
Here’s a picture of me on my side to better illustrate this.
Although this mattress is marketed as being soft, it doesn’t cradle you like a typical soft mattress would. That’s largely because there is not a quilted over and it is not overly engineered with too much foam. Instead, it uses more of the softer foam in the right places. Here you can see that my 14lb. bowling ball doesn’t sink in all that much at the middle of the mattress.
My GladGrid Recommendation
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this mattress and after a few weeks of sleeping on it, it has greatly exceeded my expectations. Although it is marketed as a soft mattress, I thought it would be much firmer. The reality is that it offers great pressure relief, especially for my shoulders and I have been having great sleep. On top of that, you get a quality, silver infused cover with a beautiful pattern and stitched handles. The copper and gel foams offer great cooling properties and the mattress itself is not terribly heavy. I recommend trying the Glad Grid if you are a side sleeper that tends to sleep hot and are looking for great pressure relief around your shoulders without being surrounded by the mattress while you sleep.
Nothing is more important than good sleep, and nothing is more important for a good sleep than a good solid mattress that just knows your body and sleep style. A good mattress makes the difference between a deeply healthy, relaxing sleep and a night spent restlessly tossing and turning on the bed.

Common Features of the Country Living Mattresses
One of the biggest drawbacks of buying online is that the mattress comes to your doorstep packed, and you need to carry it inside and unbox it. Then you have to place it properly on the bed. This process can be tiresome and tedious, not to mention back-breaking for quite a few.
With Country Living, you do not have to worry about that account. The mattress comes to you rolled up in a casing in a dehydrated form. You can easily carry it inside and place the rolled up matter on the bed. Then cut the wrapping around the mattress and wait for it to inflate to the proper size. The whole process is very easy and highly convenient.
Apart from this, each of these lovely mattresses is made 100% in the USA. They also come with the best free night trial offered by any brand in the USA. You get a good 18 months trial period with any of these mattresses and a full refund if you return them within the trial period. All you have to do is raise a return request, and the mattress is picked up by the company at no extra cost to you. They are also all available in the standard six sizes from twin to cal-king, and the level of firmness is also customizable with each one.
Wrapping Up and Final Thoughts on the Country Living Mattress
The Welcome Home mattress range from Country Life is truly a mattress that welcomes you back. All three types of mattresses are perfect for a good night’s rest and combine the key elements of balance and support perfectly. They are also durable and customizable, which adds to their high value for money.
