The 2920 mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that was made by 2920 Sleep. It was designed to provide pressure relief and support for all types of sleepers. The mattress had three layers of foam: a soft top layer, a firmer middle layer, and a dense base layer.
The top layer of the 2920 mattress was made of a proprietary foam called “Micro Air Coil Foam.” This foam was designed to be soft and responsive, while also providing pressure relief. The middle layer of the mattress was made of a denser foam that provided support for the spine. The base layer of the mattress was made of the densest foam, which provided stability and durability.
The 2920 mattress was available in a variety of sizes, including twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king. It was also backed by a 365-night sleep trial and a forever warranty.
However, 2920 Sleep is no longer in business, so the 2920 mattress is no longer available. If you are looking for a mattress that is similar to the 2920 mattress, you may want to consider the following options:
- The Level Sleep mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that has three zones of support. It is designed to provide pressure relief and support for all types of sleepers.
- The Nectar mattress is a 12-inch all-foam mattress that has five layers of foam. It is designed to be soft and supportive, while also providing pressure relief.
- The Tuft & Needle mattress is a 10-inch all-foam mattress that has two layers of foam. It is designed to be soft and responsive, while also providing support for the spine.
The 2920 mattress is a responsive memory foam mattress that is breathable and supportive. Although this is isn’t the cheapest mattress on the market, coming in at $995 for a queen, it is a quality build and should appeal to most sleepers making it a great choice for couples with different firmness preferences.
Overview of the 2920 Mattress
The 2920 mattress can be ordered direct from their website. It will arrive in about a week after ordering and comes with a 100-night free trial. All this is fairly standard for an online mattress company. It is also made in the USA.
Here’s a video of me on the 2290 mattress. It sort of reminds me of the Leesa mattress but just felt a little more substantial.
2920 Mattress Construction
The 2920 mattress is 10 inches in depth with the following layers.
2″ inch layer of gel foam
1″ layer of support/transition foam
5.5″ support layer
1.5″ base layer

Here’s a look at the inside of the mattress and the layers.

2920 Mattress Findings
You’ll see that the 2920 has a little bit of bounce but not much motion transfer. I’ll attribute this to the 1″ support and comfort layer which is a foam/latex blend. It gives the mattress quicker recovery without sacrificing pressure relief.
Below is a video I shot with my thermal camera. This mattress sleeps fairly cool for an all foam mattress. The top layers of foam aren’t that dense which provides some breathability. I also attribute this to the stretch knit cover. In terms of how this compares to other mattresses with similar construction, I would say it is about average for heat retention. It will definitely sleep cooler than denser foam mattresses such as the
Below is a video that shows how each layer of the 2920 mattress will react. As you can see in the video every layer of this mattress recovers quickly. The top layer is the slowest to recover but even that bounces back fast. This means that this mattress is easy to mover around on but you will sacrifice some pressure relief. I have found that denser foam mattresses will contour better and provide better pressure relief but a mattress like this is more breathable and easier to switch positions. There’s always some tradeoff depending on which material you go with and you just need to understand what you sleep priorities are.
My 2920 Mattress Recommendation
2920 isn’t the first and definitely won’t be the last online mattress offering. However it does offer another choice for consumers. For context, if you are looking for a mattress that recovers quick, sleeps cool for a foam bed and has minimal motion transfer, this would be a good choice. I found it to be a little firmer than the Leesa but softer than the firm version of the Cocoon mattress.
Aside from the mattress, 2920 also offers sheets and pillows. The sheets are made with organic cotton and are a 300 thread count.

The pillows look amazing as they are made with natural latex and have a knit cover.

Is the 2920 Mattress a good choice for hot sleepers?
Yes, the 2920 Mattress is considered a good option for hot sleepers due to its innovative design that allows for sufficient airflow in its all-foam construction.
