Helix vs Purple vs Tempur-Pedic

Helix wins on personalization and hybrid feel — the range is broader than any competitor and the zoned coils are excellent. Purple wins on cooling and unique grid feel. Tempur-Pedic wins on motion isolation and deep pressure relief. Choose Helix if you want a hybrid with a specific feel target and a strong 15-year warranty on the premium tiers.

Common questions

Which Helix mattress is best? The Midnight Luxe for most people, the Moonlight Luxe for strict side sleepers, and the Midnight Elite if you plan to keep the mattress a full decade.

Is the Luxe worth the upgrade from base? Yes — zoned coils and GlacioTex cover are meaningful improvements. Almost always worth ~$1,000 over 8+ years.

Is the Elite worth the upgrade from Luxe? Only if you sleep hot, weigh 180+ lb, or plan to keep the mattress 10+ years.

How long does a Helix mattress last? Base: 6–8 years. Luxe: 8–10 years. Elite: 10–12 years.

Can I try a Helix before I buy? Yes — the Yawnder San Diego showroom stocks a premium pillowtop and hybrid lineup, and Helix ships every mattress with a 100-night home trial.

Bottom line

Helix is the personalization brand — figure out your sleep position and your budget, and there’s an obvious model for you. Skip the marketing and pick based on the two questions above.
