Helix Twilight Elite Review: Firm Feel and Luxury Construction
Firsthand showroom experience: I am Ben Trapskin, Yawnder’s founder, and I have personally tried the Helix Twilight Elite in our showroom. I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and weigh 220 pounds. That is the body-size context for my comfort impressions; your sleeping position and preferences also matter. How we test mattresses.
If the Twilight Luxe wasn’t firm enough or you want the flagship Elite construction with a firm feel, the Twilight Elite is the pick. Helix designs it for side sleepers who prefer a firm surface; shoppers in any position should test shoulder and hip comfort before deciding.

Why an Elite for firm sleepers?
Elite is Helix’s premium construction tier, offered in several feels. Helix describes the Twilight Elite as firm and lists a GlacioTex Elite cooling cover, dense memory foam, microcoils, an ErgoAlign contour layer and a pocketed-coil support system. This review describes its feel as approximately 8/10; firmness is subjective.
Cooling: what the cover can and cannot do
Helix includes a GlacioTex Elite cover designed to feel cool to the touch; an optional CoolForce layer costs extra. The earlier review reported surface readings after 20 minutes of 81°F for the Elite and 88°F for the Luxe, but did not document room conditions or the measurement method. Treat those figures as limited observations, not a controlled comparison or a prediction of overnight temperature.

Twilight Elite vs Twilight Luxe
Twilight Elite adds a taller profile and a microcoil comfort layer. Both models offer firm-leaning support, but their surfaces and prices differ. Compare the current checkout prices, cooling options and feel in your usual position before paying the premium; a more expensive model does not guarantee longer life.
Construction and setup details
Helix currently lists the Twilight Elite at 15 inches; a queen measures 60 by 80 inches. The standard cover is GlacioTex Elite, with an optional CoolForce layer for an added charge. The mattress combines dense memory foam, microcoils, an ErgoAlign contour layer and individually wrapped support coils. The cooling cover is designed for a cool-to-the-touch feel, not active refrigeration. Check which cooling option you are ordering, since it affects the delivered price.
Helix says its Elite mattress ships in two boxes. Plan for help assembling and moving it, and measure your bed-frame height, doorways and fitted-sheet pockets. Helix recommends a firm, flat support surface or thick slats no more than 3.5 inches apart; consult the current manufacturer instructions for compatible foundations and bases.
What to try before deciding
Ben’s showroom impression is one data point at 6 feet 3 inches and 220 pounds. Back and stomach sleepers can check whether their midsection feels supported; side sleepers should spend time on each side and check shoulder and hip pressure. Partners should test movement and the edge together. The motion graph and bounce video below show the recorded test, but they do not establish a lifetime durability result.

What to consider before buying
Feel and sleeping position
Helix describes the Twilight Elite as firm. Back and stomach sleepers who prefer a flatter surface may like it, while side sleepers should pay attention to shoulder and hip pressure. Try the mattress in the positions you actually use rather than relying on a firmness number alone.
Construction and temperature
The current 15-inch hybrid combines gel and SupremeSupport 7.0 memory foams, responsive foam, microcoils and an 8-inch pocketed-coil support core with reinforced perimeter, according to Helix. GlacioTex Elite is standard; CoolForce is an optional additional layer. A cool-to-touch cover is an initial feel, and room temperature, bedding and personal preference affect overnight comfort.
Price and delivery
On October 29, 2026, Helix displayed a promotional queen price of $3,497 for the configuration with CoolForce. That is a dated observation, not a standing offer; compare the same size, cooling option, delivery and setup charges at checkout. Helix says the Elite ships in two boxes, so plan for help and check your finished bed height and fitted-sheet depth.

Helix’s direct mattress trial is 365 nights, with a 30-night adjustment period.
