Verdict: 4.2/5 — The One is a competent, honest budget mattress rather than a standout one.

How it performs, category by category
Support and alignment
The medium-firm surface keeps hips level for back sleepers up to roughly 230 lb. Heavier sleepers and dedicated side sleepers will bottom out into the support foam faster than they would on the Dream hybrid.
Pressure relief
Adequate, not luxurious. There is enough give at the shoulder for combination sleepers, but pure side sleepers who want a cradle should look at Cloud One.
Cooling
Foam with airflow channels, no phase-change cover and no coils. It runs neutral rather than cool — fine in a conditioned bedroom, warm if you sleep hot year-round.
Motion isolation
Very good. All-foam beds win here, and The One is quiet enough that a restless partner will not wake you.
Edge support
The weakest area. Foam perimeters compress when you sit on the side, so a Queen sleeps a little narrower than its footprint suggests.
Off-gassing
Mild new-foam smell for 24–48 hours; full expansion inside a day.
