Purple Restore Plus Review: The Firmness Sweet Spot
The Restore Plus takes the Restore’s firm build and adds an extra inch of GelFlex Grid on top. For heavier back and stomach sleepers, this is where Purple‘s engineering peaks — firm enough to prevent hip sinkage, cushioned enough to eliminate shoulder pressure.

Quick take
- Best for: Back and combo sleepers 180–260 lb who want firm support with more grid cushion.
- Feel: Medium-firm (~6.5/10)
- Height: 13 inches
- Price: ~$3,299 queen
- Trial / warranty: 100 nights / 10 years
The extra grid inch on a firm base
Where the Rejuvenate Plus’s thicker grid softens things, the Restore Plus’s thicker grid balances firmness. Heavier sleepers stop bottoming into the coil layer under pressure points; lighter areas still sit high on the firm base. Best support-to-comfort ratio in the line.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Handles heavier sleepers better than any other Purple
- 3″ grid = better shoulder/hip cushion than base Restore
- Excellent edge
- Strong cooling
Cons
- $500 more than the Restore
- Still firm — not for light side sleepers
- Heavy
Verdict
The Restore Plus is the pick for buyers over 200 lb who want the grid + firm support. Best model in the line for larger frames.
