Casper makes several mattresses with very different feels. This is Yawnder’s master Casper mattress review and comparison page: use it to pick the right model, then open the individual model review for detailed construction, testing notes, pricing, and pros and cons.
Current vs. legacy Casper: Casper’s lineup has changed substantially over the years. We separate current models from discontinued names such as the Original, Nova, Wave, and Element so older reviews do not get mistaken for today’s lineup.

Casper The One
11-inch all-foam, medium-firm and responsive
Value-focused foam shoppers, back and combination sleepers
Choose The One when you want the simplest route into Casper’s adult lineup. Choose Cloud One when pressure relief and a softer foam surface matter more than edge strength. Choose Dream when you want coils, bounce, and stronger perimeter support. Choose Dream Max when you want a more cushioned premium hybrid. Choose Snow or Snow Max when cooling is the reason you are looking at Casper in the first place.
All-foamValue
Casper The One
The entry point to the current adult lineup. It has the most straightforward foam construction and a firmer, more responsive personality than Cloud One.
Casper Original, Element, Nova and Wave: legacy models
The Casper Original is the mattress that built the brand, but it should not be treated as the same product as Casper’s current lineup. The same applies to older names such as Nova Hybrid and Wave Hybrid. We keep this historical context because those names still receive searches and are useful for owners comparing an older Casper with a replacement.
Original: balanced all-foam construction with zoned support. Hybrid: added coils for bounce, airflow, and edge support. Nova Hybrid: the softer option. Wave Hybrid: the premium zoned-support model. Element: the simplified budget foam model.
How Casper compares with other mattress brands
Compare Casper with other brands by the exact model, firmness, price and seller terms. These guides explain the differences in feel and construction.
Casper's direct mattress trial is 100 nights from delivery. Returns are available after a 30-night adjustment period; Casper describes eligible mattress pickup and returns as free. Some charges, final-sale items and bundles have different rules, so check the written offer before buying. If you buy from Yawnder or another retailer, that seller's policy may differ. Casper publishes a 10-year limited mattress warranty for qualifying defects.
The One or Cloud One? Casper lists both as 11-inch foam models and describes Cloud One as plusher. Compare shoulder and hip comfort, ease of movement and the price for the same size; an all-foam label alone does not tell you which will feel better.
Dream or Dream Max? Casper describes Dream as a 12-inch medium hybrid and Dream Max as a 14-inch medium-soft hybrid with additional zoning. Measure your frame and fitted-sheet pocket depth, and try each exact model in your usual position. These manufacturer specifications are not a new Yawnder head-to-head test.
Snow or Snow Max? Both are cooling-focused hybrids; Casper lists Snow at 12 inches and Snow Max at 14 inches. A cool-to-the-touch cover is only one part of the sleep experience: sheets, protectors and room temperature also matter. Compare the final price and return terms with the expected benefit for you.
Casper mattress review FAQ
Are Casper mattresses good?
There is no single “Casper feel” anymore. The foam models emphasize motion control and simplicity, the Dream models add coil support, and the Snow models put more emphasis on cooling. The right answer depends on the specific model and how you sleep.
What is the difference between Casper The One and Cloud One?
The One is the more straightforward medium-firm foam bed. Cloud One is the softer, more pressure-relieving foam option and is the more natural starting point for many side sleepers.
What is the difference between Casper Dream and Snow?
Both are hybrids, but Snow is the cooling-focused branch of the lineup. Dream is the more general-purpose hybrid choice.
Is the Casper Original still the main Casper mattress?
No. The Original is useful historical context, but shoppers should compare the current named models rather than assuming the old Original is still the default Casper.
Where should I read a review of one specific Casper model?
Use the current-model table near the top of this page. Each model name links to a dedicated review focused on that mattress alone.
