8.8/10 — Balanced foam with strong pressure relief and quiet support. Best for side and back sleepers who want an easy win.
Bottom line
Comfort first with a gentle top that eases pressure on shoulders and hips. Cooling is above average for foam. Motion stays low. Edge support has improved over prior years but still trails hybrids.

Feel and firmness
The Leesa Original measures around medium-firm (6/10) on our scale. The top layer compresses easily but doesn’t bottom out, giving a “hug with lift” feel. Transition foam evens out pressure under hips, so it stays level for side sleepers without sinking too deep for back sleepers.
Cooling
Compared to typical foam beds, Leesa runs slightly cooler. The top layer of LSA200 foam diffuses heat faster than memory foam, but heavy or hot sleepers may still prefer a hybrid for maximum airflow. In our infrared test, surface temps dropped from 90°F to 82°F within 3 minutes — faster than most all-foam models.
Motion isolation
We measured less than 2 inches of vibration transfer with our drop test, earning Leesa a 9.0/10. Couples should expect minimal movement when shifting or getting in and out of bed. Great for light sleepers who share a bed.
Edge support
Foam edges compress roughly 4 inches when sitting. It’s stable enough for lying near the edge but not ideal for sitting long periods. Overall edge support: 7.9/10.
Pressure relief
Our pressure maps show deep blue (low pressure) zones around the shoulders and hips — a solid result for foam. The top layer evenly distributes weight while the transition foam prevents the spine from bowing. Score: 9.3/10.
