Tomorrow Sleep is a whole ensemble of sleep technology. The centerpiece of their offerings is their mattress which comes in a medium soft and medium firm feel. For this review, I was given the Medium Soft version along with their accessories. Tomorrow sleep also has an industry leading 365-night trial. That means you can have it for a year and if you are not happy with it, you will get a full refund.
They also have an all foam version which has less bounce and motion transfer.
Overview of Tomorrow Sleep
The Tomorrow Sleep mattress comes in a box like the one below. It can easily be delivered to your door without the need to wait for a delivery van to show up. You can see in the background in the photo below some of the other accessories you can purchase through the Tomorrow Sleep website. The curtains in the windows are blackout curtains also available through this company.
Here’s a video showcasing all the products available right now through Tomorrow Sleep. Everything from the sheets to the pillows seem to be designed to work together with the mattress to provide optimal comfort.
Tomorrow Sleep offers a 100-night trial on all their accessories! This includes the sleep tracker, sheets, pillows, mattress protector and even curtains. It’s rare to find such a generous return policy for sleep accessories like this. The return process is easy as well since they will facilitate the return process. Just give them a call and they will take it from there.
Construction of the Tomorrow Sleep Hybrid Mattress
The Tomorrow Sleep mattress is essentially a hybrid mattress because it has a pocket coil system inside. Although it will feel more like a foam mattress, the coils will help it recover faster and provide more breathability.
Here’s an illustration of the construction of the mattress from their website:
Below is a picture I took of the mattress with the cover removed. Behind the white foam, you will find the pocket coil system.
I did some more digging and here’s a shot of the spring system inside. These are pocket coils that all work independently so there really isn’t much motion transfer here.

Medium Soft Mattress Construction
Comfort Layers:
1” 4.8 lb Viscoelastic (Memory Foam) with PCM (Phase Change Material)
2” 2.5 lb Airy Comfort Foam Layer with Gel
Support System:

6” pocketed 800 Series high-carbon steel coil
6” x 3” Ventilated Foam Side Rails
1” base foam layer which the coils rest upon
Cover
The cover of the mattress is made with a phase change material which is becoming more common among the online and store brands. This means the mattress feels cool to the touch and draws heat away from your body to help you fall asleep faster.
Top Layer
According to their site, the mattress is made with 4.8 lb. memory foam. This is fairly dense foam so you get a good combination of recovery and contouring. I think it was smart to add a denser foam along with coils because the coils will provide more recovery.
Second Layer
This is gel foam here that has some cooling properties
Third Layer
The third layer of the mattress is the pocket coil system along with side rails that provide ventilation of air through the sides of the mattress.
Bottom layer
This is a base layer that will protect the pocket coil system and provide sturdy support for the mattress.
The Tomorrow Sleep Foam Mattress
If springs aren’t your thing, they also offer an all foam version that is great if your partner tend to wake you up.
Tomorrow Sleep Hybrid Findings
If you weren’t told this mattress had springs, you probably wouldn’t know it. The mattress acts more like an all foam mattress than a spring mattress. Below is a picture illustrating how much sink you get with the medium soft version of the Tomorrow Sleep mattress
This mattress also doesn’t have much motion transfer event though it has coils. The top layers of foam will absorb most of the energy. Check out the video below that illustrates this point.
The video below was made with my infrared camera to show how quickly heat dissipates from the cover of the mattress:
Here’s a video showing how each of the layers react. You’ll notice that the top layer provides that dense foam contouring but the springs inside make the mattress as a whole recover quickly.
Tomorrow Sleep Memory Foam Findings
The all foam version is great for people looking for a mattress with less sinkage and less motion transfer but just the same amount of pressure relief.

All the foams in the Tomorrow Sleep mattress have environmental certifications that ensure they are safe and non-toxic. Our polyurethane foams (memory foam, transition foam, and poly support foam) are CertiPUR-US® certified.
CertiPUR-US® approved foams are made without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead and other heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. They are Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
Here’s a pic of my 14 lb. bowling ball on the mattress to illustrate sinkage.

My Tomorrow Sleep Recommendation
Tomorrow sleep offers you your entire sleep solution. I reviewed the medium soft mattress and found to be a truly soft mattress. On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the softest I would rate the hybrid soft an 8.5. It is not so soft so that you lose support. Ths springs sort of catch you before you lose support and keep you afloat.
I recommend this mattress to people looking for a soft mattress that recovers quickly but gives you many of the same benefits as a dense foam mattress. It is going to behave more like an all foam mattress in terms of conforming and less motion transfer but you will get extra recovery with the coil system inside.
The memory foam mattress is everything you want in a mattress at a competitive price. If you are particularly sensitive to motion transfer this is a great choice.
I recommend the mattress protector along with this mattress as the mattress protector will keep the mattress in like new condition and the mattress protector also has phase change technology to keep you cool and was designed to fit with this mattress. It also comes with a 365-day free trial so you can always return both hassle-free.
