Support and lumbar options
An earlier specification sheet described 13.5-gauge coils across the unit and a reinforced perimeter. Helix’s current product page also describes lumbar reinforcement and offers an optional ErgoAlign support layer. Coil design alone cannot establish durability or guarantee a flat surface. Test support and edge stability on the exact model.
The comfort stack, and one flagged specification
Above the coils, a 2-inch firmer transition foam does the real work of stopping the sink, with a thin gel memory foam and Dynamic Foam pairing under the quilted pillowtop to keep the surface from feeling like a board. One note on honesty: the 30 IFD figure Helix publishes for that transition layer sits above the range the brand states elsewhere for Dynamic Foam. We store the claim exactly as published and flag the conflict rather than quietly picking a number, so nothing on this page is smoothed over.

Plus Luxe or Helix Plus?
The Helix Plus is the 11.5-inch Core version: the same fully reinforced 13.5-gauge coil idea, but a shorter comfort stack and no pillowtop. The Plus Luxe adds 2 inches of build, and the quilted top; Helix currently lists a limited lifetime warranty for both models. Current configurations, setup and returns
On October 29, 2026, Helix listed a queen Plus Luxe with the TENCEL cover and standard Luxe layer at $2,099 during a promotion. Its configurator also offered a GlacioTex cover, a cover with CoolForce and an optional ErgoAlign hip-support layer. Compare the final configuration and price; promotions and availability change. Helix lists the queen at 115 pounds and states a support capacity of up to 1,500 pounds; ask whether that figure includes the mattress and foundation and verify your support setup. Trial and seller: Helix’s 365-night trial applies to direct orders and requires at least 30 nights. Eligible Yawnder orders instead follow Yawnder’s 100-night trial, with a 30-night minimum and a $200 return fee, waived for an eligible exchange. Floor models and accessories have different terms.
Common questions
What weight is the Plus Luxe built for? Helix positions the Plus line for sleepers above roughly 250 lb, in any sleeping position.
Is it too firm for a lighter partner? It may feel firmer to a lighter sleeper, especially on their side, but there is no verified weight cutoff. Compare shoulder and hip comfort together and confirm the seller’s return terms.
