Quick answer: Bear mattresses purchased on or after February 1, 2025 carry a limited lifetime warranty. Years 1–10 are non-prorated. Later covered replacements become prorated.
Coverage by year
During years 1–10, Bear repairs or replaces a covered defective mattress at no cost. During years 11–15, the replacement charge is 50% of the then-current retail price; during years 16–20 it is 60%. Later-year charges follow Bear’s current warranty schedule.
What sagging qualifies?
Bear covers visible indentations greater than 1.5 inches when they are not caused by improper or unsupportive foundations.
Slat spacing matters
Bear says slats greater than 5.5 inches apart are improper for most Bear mattresses; Bear Cub mattresses use a separate 9-inch rule. Improper support can void the warranty.
Older purchases
Bear specifically separates mattresses purchased before February 1, 2025. Use the warranty in effect on your purchase date rather than assuming the current lifetime terms apply retroactively.

Before filing a Bear claim
Confirm the purchase date before relying on the current lifetime terms. Keep proof of purchase and photograph the mattress, law tag, claimed defect and the frame or foundation underneath it.
Check the support system carefully
Bear publishes specific slat-spacing requirements, so a foundation photo can be particularly important. Measure unusually wide slat gaps rather than relying only on a general photo.
Trial vs. warranty
If the issue is comfort rather than a qualifying defect, use the Bear return-policy guide to determine whether a trial remedy applies. Warranty claims should document the specific defect and support conditions.
