YAWNDER BUYING COMPARISON · OCTOBER 2026
Disclosure: Yawnder sells both mattresses. This comparison uses manufacturer information and available Yawnder reviews; it does not claim a new controlled head-to-head test. Offers, features and policies can change.
Quick verdict
Consider Bear Elite Hybrid if you want a 14-inch hybrid with copper-infused memory foam and three firmness choices. Consider Nolah Evolution 15 if you want a quilted hybrid and a choice of Plush, Luxury Firm or Firm. Neither is automatically better for every sleeper: choose the firmness and top that feel right for your body and position.

Firmness and sleeper position
Bear describes the Elite Hybrid in Soft, Medium and Firm; Nolah offers the Evolution in Plush, Luxury Firm and Firm. Those names do not mean that two beds with similar labels feel identical. Weight, shoulder width and sleeping position change how deeply the surface compresses.
Side sleepers may want to compare the softer configurations for shoulder and hip comfort. Back and combination sleepers can begin with Medium or Luxury Firm, while stomach sleepers may want to try a firmer configuration. These are starting points, not prescriptions. Spend several minutes in your usual position and check whether you can move easily.
Construction and surface feel
Bear combines copper-infused memory foam and other comfort layers with zoned coils. Nolah uses a quilted top and AirFoam comfort layers above its zoned coil system. A material description tells you what is inside, but it does not establish a universal winner for pressure relief, support or durability.
Both are substantial mattresses: Bear lists the Elite Hybrid at 14 inches. Nolah’s current product specifications list the Evolution at 14 inches standard or 15 inches with the GlacioTex pillow-top upgrade; other Nolah pages use the Evolution 15 name. Confirm the height of the selected configuration before buying. Add your frame and foundation height when checking whether the complete bed is comfortable to enter and exit; check fitted-sheet pocket depth too. See our bed-height guide.
Cooling and motion transfer
Compare the exact cover and any paid cooling option selected at checkout. A cool-to-the-touch cover can feel pleasant initially, but bedroom temperature, bedding and individual preferences affect the rest of the night. We do not have a verified controlled comparison establishing which model keeps every person cooler.
For couples, have one person turn or get out of bed while the other remains still. Check whether the disturbance is acceptable and sit near the edge. Both have pocketed coils, but actual motion and edge feel depend on the selected configuration and the users.
Price, delivery and returns
Compare the same size and include selected pillow-top or cooling upgrades, taxes and delivery. Use the current Bear listing and Nolah listing for up-to-date options; promotions change. The real cost of a mattress guide explains what else to include.
Manufacturer-direct trial terms may differ from a Yawnder purchase. Review the seller’s current written policy, including break-in requirements, return fees and exclusions. For an order placed with Yawnder, consult Yawnder’s return policy. An optional trial-waiver discount, when offered, changes comfort-return eligibility.
Who should consider each?
- Bear Elite Hybrid: You prefer the feel of its memory-foam hybrid and find a Soft, Medium or Firm version that fits.
- Nolah Evolution: You prefer the taller quilted construction and one of its three firmness choices.
- Compare both: You share a bed, change positions or are deciding between a softer surface and a firmer one.
Frequently asked questions
Is Nolah Evolution the same as Evolution Comfort+?
No. Comfort+ is a separate model designed for plus-size sleepers. Check its own construction and buying terms rather than assuming they match the standard Evolution.
Which is softer?
Neither model is offered in just one feel. Compare the specific firmnesses and any pillow-top upgrades; their labels are not interchangeable.
Can I try them at Yawnder?
