YAWNDER BUYING COMPARISON · OCTOBER 2026
Disclosure: Yawnder sells the Bear Elite Hybrid and may earn a commission when you buy WinkBed through our links. This comparison uses manufacturer information and existing Yawnder reviews; it does not claim a new controlled head-to-head test. Prices and policies can change.
Quick verdict
Consider Bear Elite Hybrid if you want a hybrid with copper-infused memory foam, three firmness options and a cooling upgrade to compare. Consider the WinkBed if you prefer a Euro-pillow-top hybrid and want to choose among Softer, Luxury Firm, Firmer and the separate Plus build.
Both offer options for different sleepers. Compare the exact firmness and cover you plan to buy: a Soft Bear and a Firmer WinkBed are very different choices even before comparing brands.

Firmness and sleep position
Bear offers Soft, Medium and Firm versions of the Elite Hybrid. WinkBed offers Softer, Luxury Firm and Firmer, plus a distinct Plus model intended for heavier sleepers. A brand’s firmness number is not a universal measurement, and the same mattress can feel different depending on body weight and position.
If you sleep mostly on your side, start by assessing how your shoulder and hip feel on the softer options. Back and stomach sleepers may want to compare the medium or firmer versions for a surface that feels stable under the hips. Couples should try their normal positions together and check whether one firmness works for both.
Memory foam versus a Euro-pillow top
Bear’s Elite Hybrid includes copper-infused memory foam in its comfort system above zoned coils. The standard WinkBed uses a quilted Euro-pillow top over individually wrapped coils. Those ingredients give you useful things to compare, but construction alone cannot establish which bed will feel softer, move faster or relieve more pressure for you.
Spend time on each exact model, roll between positions and sit on the edge. Ben has personally tried the WinkBed Luxury Firm and Plus in the Yawnder showroom; those are distinct builds and should be tested separately. See the WinkBed review and Bear Elite Hybrid comparison for more context.
Cooling, edge support and motion
Bear lists a Celliant cover and offers a cooling option; WinkBed lists Tencel and gel-infused foam. Check exactly what is included in the configuration and compare upgrade costs. A cool-to-the-touch surface is not proof of a specific overnight temperature or a head-to-head cooling winner.
Both use pocketed coils. If you share a bed, have your partner change positions while you lie still, then test the edge where you sit or sleep. A reinforced edge is useful to examine, but its feel varies with the selected firmness and sleeper.

The seller matters: a Bear purchase placed through Yawnder is governed by Yawnder’s applicable order terms. The linked WinkBed listing directs you to WinkBeds, which handles its own checkout, shipping and returns. Read the terms shown by the seller before ordering; do not assume one retailer’s trial applies to another. Yawnder’s return policy explains its conditions and exclusions.
Who should choose each?
- Bear Elite Hybrid: You prefer the feel of its memory-foam hybrid and want to compare its three firmness options and cooling configuration.
- WinkBed: You prefer the Euro-pillow-top feel and want to try a wider range of named firmness choices, including the separate Plus build.
- Try both: You are between two firmnesses, share the bed, or care strongly about edge support and ease of movement.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better for side sleepers?
Either may work in the right firmness. Compare shoulder and hip comfort in your normal position rather than assuming every version of a model feels alike.
Is WinkBed Plus the same as Luxury Firm?
No. Plus is a separate build intended for heavier sleepers. Its feel and construction should not be treated as interchangeable with Luxury Firm.
Can I try them at Yawnder?
