Classic Wooly
The entry point: British wool layers, individually pocketed coils and a microcoil layer. Best starting point for shoppers seeking traditional wool-and-spring construction.

Deluxe Wooly
Adds more sophisticated nano- and microcoil cushioning over the traditional spring unit; worth comparing in medium and firm feels.

Luxury Wooly
A deeper all-wool comfort build with additional responsive coil layers; manufacturer cites 8,500 coils for King size.

Hybrid Latex Wooly
Adds a 3-inch Talalay latex layer above individually pocketed coils for a springier, more buoyant alternative to the wool-only line.
Which Woolroom mattress fits your sleeping position?
Side sleepers
Evaluate the pressure relief at your shoulder and hip instead of shopping exclusively by a “soft” label. The Deluxe and Luxury lines add more comfort coils than Classic; the latex hybrid may feel buoyant rather than deeply enveloping. Those construction differences suggest models to try, but we have not recorded comparable pressure-map results.
Back and combination sleepers
Medium and firmer choices in the Deluxe, Luxury and latex-hybrid lines may be worth comparing. Back sleepers often want enough cushioning at the hips with consistent support through the torso, while combination sleepers may prefer the easier movement of responsive coils or latex.
Stomach sleepers
Start with firmer tension options and check whether your pelvis stays close to neutral; highly plush comfort layers may not be ideal. Body weight and proportions can change the result substantially.
Couples and hot sleepers
Wool naturally absorbs and releases moisture, and open-coil architecture can promote airflow. That does not establish a specific cooling score. Wool-and-coil and latex hybrids can also feel more responsive than dense memory foam, but motion isolation and partner disturbance should be checked in person or under a real trial.
Materials, construction, and what “natural” means
Woolroom emphasizes traceable British wool, spring support and wool-based flame resistance. The three non-latex Wooly models are presented as avoiding polyurethane comfort foams, synthetic glues and latex; the Hybrid Latex Wooly intentionally includes natural Talalay latex. The company describes a 3-inch latex layer and 884 glue-free pocket coils in its latex hybrid, versus much higher total counts across various coil layers in its Luxury model (8,500 coils cited for King). Coil counts are not directly comparable across sizes or across coil types.
Wool’s hygroscopic behavior can help manage humidity. Still, buyer-facing claims such as “chemical-free,” “non-toxic,” and “hypoallergenic” are broader than any single certification can establish. Read each model’s actual material disclosures and third-party documentation, especially if you have material sensitivities.
Pros and cons
Reasons to consider Woolroom
- Distinctive wool-forward comfort systems
- Choice of conventional wool and latex hybrid models
- Published construction details and wool traceability program
- U.S.-made mattresses with independently pocketed coils
Trade-offs
- Protector purchase required for the advertised 100-night mattress trial
- Materials and feel vary significantly across models
- Wool mattresses can be heavier than typical foam-in-a-box beds
- No independent Yawnder cooling, pressure or motion-isolation scores yet
Woolroom sleep trial, returns, warranty and shipping
The critical fine print: Woolroom’s 100-night mattress trial is conditional on buying and using a same-size Deluxe or Organic Washable Wool Mattress Protector with the mattress. The manufacturer’s terms specify a minimum 60-night break-in period. Without qualifying for that trial, ordinary mattress returns can be substantially more restrictive. Always verify the exact U.S. policy before purchasing.
Woolroom lists a 10-year limited manufacturing warranty for its Wooly mattress range. Warranty remedies, foundation requirements and exclusions should be reviewed on the manufacturer’s warranty page. U.S. mattress delivery is shipped through FedEx; lead times and services can vary by order and destination.

Choose the comparison that matches what you are shopping for—not every natural mattress uses the same comfort system.

- Woolroom vs Naturepedic EOS — wool comfort versus modular split firmness for couples.
Woolroom vs Avocado, Birch and Naturepedic
These are construction comparisons, not a claim that one beat another in Yawnder’s lab. Woolroom Classic, Deluxe and Luxury focus on wool-and-coil comfort without a latex comfort layer; by contrast, many Avocado, Birch and Naturepedic mattresses use natural latex with wool and springs. Woolroom Hybrid Latex is therefore more directly comparable on materials to latex-based alternatives. Check each exact model and version rather than assuming all mattresses under one brand are built alike.

- Naturepedic: See Naturepedic EOS when adjustable firmness or modular latex layers matter.
Frequently asked questions
Does Woolroom make an all-latex mattress?
Its current U.S. Hybrid Latex Wooly combines 3 inches of Talalay latex with wool and pocketed coils; it is not an all-latex mattress.
Are Woolroom wool mattresses flippable?
Do not assume every model is two-sided. Follow the care instructions for your particular construction and ask whether it should be rotated, flipped, or only rotated.
Is Woolroom good for hot sleepers?
Wool’s moisture-management properties and spring airflow make it worth investigating, but we have no head-to-head Yawnder temperature readings for these models.
Does the 100-night trial apply without a Woolroom protector?
No. Woolroom’s mattress trial terms require purchase and use of an eligible protector at the same time as the mattress.
Can you try Woolroom at Yawnder’s showroom?
This research-based guide does not claim that Woolroom is available on the Yawnder showroom floor. Contact the store to confirm which comparable mattresses can currently be tried.
