YAWNDER MATTRESS COMPARISON
Disclosure: Yawnder sells the Titan Plus Core. Prices and terms vary by seller and may change.

Our Verdict
Choose the Titan Plus Core if you want a distinctly firm hybrid designed for larger bodies. Choose the Titan Plus Luxe if you want a plus-size hybrid with a more cushioned, medium-level feel. Both use foam over an 8-inch coil core, but the Luxe is the better starting point for a side sleeper seeking more contouring or a couple with different comfort preferences.
The Core is not automatically the better choice for every heavier sleeper: firmness and support are different things. A comfortable mattress should cushion your pressure points while keeping your body supported. If possible, try the specific model before buying.

The Biggest Difference: Firmness
Titan describes the Core as firm. Its quilted top and firm TitanFlex layer sit above individually encased coils, producing a design aimed at shoppers who prefer a sturdy surface. If you sleep on your stomach or enjoy feeling more on top of your mattress, it is a sensible place to start.
The Luxe is designed to feel more cushioned. Titan describes it as a medium-level alternative for plus-size shoppers who want support with more contouring, including people sharing with a partner of a different body size. That does not mean it will feel soft to everyone: a lighter sleeper may perceive either bed as firmer than a heavier person does.
Construction and Height
Titan’s Core product page lists 12 inches, while Brooklyn Bedding’s model guide lists 11 inches. Confirm the height of the version you order. The Core has a quilted gel-foam top, a TitanFlex comfort layer and an 8-inch TitanCore pocketed-coil unit. Titan lists the Plus Luxe at 13 inches, with a more substantial comfort package over an 8-inch coil unit.
Titan’s pages contain both current and older descriptions of individual foam layers, so verify the construction of the exact model being sold rather than assuming an older review describes today’s version. Extra height on its own does not guarantee greater support or durability. Measure the mattress and foundation together if bed entry or fitted-sheet depth is a concern.
Side, Back and Stomach Sleepers
Side sleepers
Start with the Luxe if pressure at the shoulder or hip is a concern. Its more cushioned design is intended to allow more contouring. Some side sleepers prefer a firm surface, however, so try the Core if you generally dislike a deeper cradle.
Back sleepers
Either can work depending on your preference. Try the Core if you like a firm, level surface; consider the Luxe if you want more cushioning. When testing, check that your hips feel supported and the mattress fills the space around your lower back comfortably.
Stomach sleepers
The Core is the logical first option for people who prefer a firmer surface and want to limit sink at the hips. Comfort still varies by body size and sleeping position, so spend time in your usual posture rather than relying on a firmness label alone.
Couples, Motion and Edge Support
Both models use individually encased coils. A couple with different body types or a side sleeper and a back sleeper may find the Luxe’s more cushioned feel an easier compromise; a couple who both prefer a firm bed may favor the Core.
A coil description cannot tell you which mattress will isolate motion better for your particular partner. If possible, have one person lie down while the other changes position. Also sit and lie close to the edge: a stable perimeter is especially useful when getting in and out of bed or sharing the full width.
Cooling and Cover Options
Both models use a coil core and offer an optional GlacioTex cover. The cover is designed to feel cool to the touch; it is not an active cooling system, and it cannot guarantee that a sleeper will stay cool all night. Sheets, protectors, room temperature and individual body heat all matter. Compare prices with the same cover configuration selected.
Weight Capacity, Foundations and Sizes
Titan markets both mattresses to larger sleepers. Its Core page says the design supports over 1,200 pounds; the Luxe product FAQ lists up to 1,000 pounds, so do not assume the same limit applies to both. Confirm the current capacity for your chosen mattress and size, including whether the number represents combined weight. A compatible, sturdy foundation matters as well; follow the current manufacturer’s instructions for slat spacing, center support and adjustable-base compatibility.
Standard and specialty sizes vary by model and seller. For split sizes, confirm whether the displayed price is for one half or a complete set. Measure your frame before ordering an RV or other nonstandard size.
Price, Trial and Warranty
Compare the same mattress size, cover choice and delivery service at checkout. Promotions change, and a lower advertised price does not necessarily include the same extras or return terms.
For eligible Yawnder mattress orders, the Yawnder return policy describes a 100-night trial with a 30-night minimum and a $200 per-mattress return processing fee. The fee is waived for an eligible exchange to a different Yawnder mattress; any price difference applies and the replacement is final sale. Exclusions, including floor models, apply. Check the written terms and eligibility before ordering. Titan’s direct-purchase trial may differ. Warranty coverage is subject to the manufacturer’s conditions.
A note on model names: Titan has used different names across generations, and Yawnder also has a “Titan Firm Luxe” listing. Confirm the full model name and specifications with the seller before ordering; do not assume a listing with “Luxe” in its title is the current Titan Plus Luxe described here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Titan Plus Luxe softer than the Core?
Yes, Titan positions the Luxe as the more cushioned, medium-level option and the Core as firm. Individual feel depends on body size and sleep position.
Does a heavier sleeper always need a firm mattress?
No. A firmer surface may suit some sleepers, but pressure relief matters too. A supportive coil system paired with a more cushioned top can be a better fit for someone who sleeps on their side.
Is the cooling cover included?
Titan lists GlacioTex as an optional upgrade for these models. Verify the configuration and price with the seller.
Can I try the mattresses in person?
