Automatic snore response: how it works and its limitations
Sleeptracker-AI uses under-mattress sensors to detect sustained snoring. Depending on the app settings, the base can raise the head or vibrate in response; Tempur-Pedic describes an approximately 12-degree head elevation that may reduce positional snoring in otherwise healthy people. It does not detect every snore or guarantee snoring stops. We do not have a documented Yawnder-controlled study establishing a percentage reduction. Snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea; the base is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment.

Sleep tracking without a wearable
The same sensors track heart rate, respiratory rate, movement, and sleep stages. Data goes to the Sleeptracker-AI app. The app reports estimated sleep measurements without a wearable, but we have not independently benchmarked its accuracy against Oura, Whoop or a clinical sleep study. Treat its trends as wellness information rather than a medical diagnosis.
Relaxation upgrades on ProSmart
ProSmart offers Wave Form massage, SoundScape and Wind Down features in addition to adjustable positioning. The standard Ergo also includes massage functions, so you do not have to buy ProSmart just to get vibration massage. These are relaxation features, not medical therapy.

Who should skip it
- Buyers who only want head and foot articulation – the standard Ergo at around $1,899 does that for roughly $1,100 less.
- Anyone whose bed frame cannot accommodate an adjustable base, or who uses a mattress the maker does not warranty on an adjustable base.
- People who specifically want massage: that is the ProSmart at around $3,499, not the Smart.
How to buy it without overpaying
- Tempur-Pedic bundles the Ergo line with mattress purchases far more often than it discounts the base alone – buying base plus mattress together is usually the cheapest route.
- The base carries a 25-year limited warranty; keep proof of purchase, since warranty service is handled through the retailer of record.
- Split-king is two separate bases. Budget for two, and for split-king sheets.
Sizing, sheets and setup
Measure the doorway, stairwell turn and elevator before delivery day – mattress height and weight cause more failed deliveries than anything else. Check the sheet depth against the mattress height plus any protector you plan to use, and confirm your foundation is either a solid platform, a slatted base with gaps of roughly three inches or less, or a compatible adjustable base. Most warranties are void if the mattress sags on an unsupported frame, so an unsupported centre rail on a queen or larger is worth fixing before the mattress arrives, not after.

Does the snore response actually work?
The Sleeptracker-AI system can respond when it detects intense, sustained snoring. Depending on your app settings, the base may raise the head by approximately 12 degrees or vibrate. Tempur-Pedic says this may reduce positional snoring; it does not guarantee results and does not treat sleep apnea.
Do I need a wearable for the sleep tracking?
No wearable is required. Under-mattress sensors supply estimated heart rate, breathing, movement and sleep-stage information to the Sleeptracker-AI app; these estimates are not a medical diagnostic test.
Can I use my existing mattress on it?
Most modern foam, hybrid and latex mattresses flex on an adjustable base. Traditional innerspring mattresses with rigid perimeter rods generally do not, and using one can void its warranty.
What is the difference between Ergo, Ergo Smart and Ergo ProSmart?
