Symphony Sleep ES500 vs ES700 (2026): Is the Upgrade Worth It?

Ben

YAWNDER BUYING COMPARISON · OCTOBER 2026

Disclosure: Yawnder sells adjustable bases and may earn revenue from purchases. Features below are based on manufacturer documentation; this is not a controlled head-to-head test. Availability and terms can change.

Quick verdict

Choose the ES500 for head and foot adjustment, massage and everyday conveniences without paying for the flagship’s extras. Choose the ES700 if you specifically want active lumbar adjustment and its SonicSleep massage and speaker system. If lumbar is the only upgrade you need, compare the ES600 as well.

What you get with either base

Both offer independent head and foot movement, wireless controls, presets, programmable positions, charging ports and under-bed lighting. Symphony lists up to 60 degrees of upper-body incline and 40 degrees of lower-body incline. These features make the ES500 a practical starting point if the primary goal is to change position for reading, relaxing or sleep.

What does the ES700 add?

The ES700 adds active lumbar support, allowing adjustment beneath the lower back, and a SonicSleep massage and speaker system. Whether that is worth the extra cost depends on whether you will use those features. If lumbar is your main reason to upgrade but you do not want the sonic system, consider the ES600.

Massage is a comfort feature; it is not a substitute for medical care. Try the different settings in person if available because preferences for vibration and sound vary.

Accessories, sizes and weight

Both models list compatibility with the optional Hi-Low Lift Kit, which raises and lowers the whole frame. It is a separate accessory, not an included feature. Confirm size, installation and total cost before ordering. The kit has its own lifting limits, which can differ from the base’s listed capacity.

Both support the optional SleepSense system. Its monitoring and automated positioning features require the accessory; do not assume the sensor is included. Symphony lists the ES500 in more size configurations than the ES700, so check availability for your desired size and split arrangement.

For both bases Symphony lists 650 lb for Queen and 800 lb for King. Confirm the rating for your specific configuration, accounting for the mattress and occupants, and check the separate limit of any accessory. Our adjustable-bed weight limit guide explains how to check the total load.

Pricing, delivery and returns

Compare the same size and include delivery, setup and any lift kit or accessories in each quote. Prices and promotions change; use the live product pages or contact Yawnder for a current quote. Adjustable bases are generally non-returnable at Yawnder, so confirm all terms and mattress/frame compatibility before purchasing.

Who should buy each?

  • ES500: You want useful adjustment and massage without paying for lumbar and the sonic speaker system.
  • ES700: You expect to use both the lumbar adjustment and sonic massage or speakers.
  • ES600: You want lumbar adjustment and would rather compare a middle option before paying for ES700 features.
