Pure Parima Review – 4 Reasons They Prove the Others are Fakes

I recently received a set of Egyptian cotton sheets from Pure Parima for review. These sheets are certified by the Cotton Egypt Association which means they are actually made with cotton from Egypt. Most “Egyptian Cotton” sheets you find in stores and online are not authentic. Construction of Pure Parima Sheets

As I said in the video, don’t be fooled by the thread count. Pure Parima uses a single ply yarn. Most sheets above 400 are either using double ply yarn where they twist two threads together or using pick insertions in the loom which are loose threads that can be prone to pilling.

Authentic Egyptian Cotton sheets like Pure Parima are made with extra long staple cotton. This also makes for a more durable weave and smoother finish over regular size cotton fibers. Pima cotton is also an extra long staple fiber but is grown in the Americas.

My Pure Parima Findings

The packaging that comes with these sheets is just as luxurious as the sheets themselves. Here’s a picture of the box that they come in.

Inside the box is a nice welcome card.

The sheets are kept inside a self-packaged bag. You can use this bag to store the sheets when not in use. This allows them to breathe and keeps them clean and fresh. The sustainable gift packaging is a nice touch and less plastic all around.

How Do Pure Parima Sheets Feel?

So, how do these sheets feel? It’s hard to convey this in a picture but they are a sateen weave so very smooth and buttery feeling. Right out of the box they have a shine to them. Here’s a closeup but my camera had a hard time getting some of the stitching detail. This is a testament to the tightness of the weave. You would be hard pressed to tell the difference between these sheets and bamboo sheets. While bamboo has a silky feel, they aren’t nealy as good as Egyptian Cotton sheets. 

These sheets will accommodate a mattress up to 18 inches deep. Here’s a picture of the drop on the fitted sheet. After washing these sheets there is some slight shrinkage so if you do have a mattress that is 18 inches deep it may be a little tight but most people don’t have mattresses over 15 inches deep.

My Pure Parima Sheets Recommendation

It pays to invest in quality sheeting. Pure Parima makes authentic Egyptian Cotton Sheets at a very reasonable price. I recommend having a set of quality white sheets for your bedroom. You can get fancy with your duvet or coverlet to make the room more interesting but since you will be in contact with the pillowcase, fitted and flat sheets, these are the items worth spending money on. Having slept on these sheets I love how light and airy they feel. If you are looking for the finest luxury investment in sheets, these are definitely worth the investment.
