Nolah Evolution vs Evolution Comfort+ (2026): Which Should You Choose?

Start with Nolah Evolution if choosing between Plush, Luxury Firm and Firm is your priority. Consider Evolution Comfort+ if you want the separate hybrid Nolah designs for larger-bodied sleepers and want to compare its reinforced support system. Body weight is one factor, but the feel in your usual position matters too.

Both offer an optional cooling pillow top. Compare the exact configuration and size, and check the support requirements of your frame before ordering.

Manufacturer height descriptions differ across Nolah pages and generations. Nolah’s size guide lists Evolution at 14 inches standard or 15 with the cooling pillow top, and Comfort+ at 13 inches standard or 14 with the upgrade. The Evolution is often called “Evolution 15.” Confirm the height of your exact order before buying sheets or a base.

Firmness and fit

The Evolution’s three firmness choices let you select more or less surface cushioning. A side sleeper might begin with Plush or Luxury Firm; someone who prefers less sink can compare Firm. Comfort+ is a separate model designed around support for a range of plus-size bodies. Its firmness can feel different depending on the sleeper’s weight and position.

Try each in your normal position. Check shoulder and hip comfort on your side, support through your middle on your back or stomach, and how easily you can roll. If you share the bed, both partners should try it. A short showroom test is helpful but cannot establish the fit for every night.

Construction and weight capacity

Both are foam-and-coil hybrids with zoned support. Comfort+ uses a reinforced coil system; a stronger-sounding specification by itself does not establish a comfort or durability winner for every person.

Nolah’s weight guidance lists a recommended maximum of 350 lb for Evolution Twin, Twin XL and Full; 300 lb per side (600 lb total) for Queen; and 350 lb per side (700 lb total) for King and California King. For Comfort+, Nolah lists up to 1,000 lb for all sizes. Confirm the current guidance for your exact mattress and separately check the full-load rating of the foundation or adjustable base. A weight rating does not tell you which mattress will feel best.

Cover, cooling and height

Nolah offers an optional GlacioTex pillow top on both models. Its Comfort+ support page says that upgrade adds an inch of quilted foam and a cool-to-the-touch cover. Compare the selected cover, height and extra cost instead of treating all versions as identical.

A cooling cover can feel cool on contact but does not guarantee a specific overnight temperature. Sheets, protectors, room temperature and personal preference also affect your experience.

What Yawnder has tested

Ben has personally tried the Evolution in the showroom, and Yawnder’s product page preserves an earlier review sample and video. That historical sample is not evidence of a new controlled test of the current configuration. Yawnder’s heavy-sleeper guide does not assign Comfort+ a comparable standardized score; we do not borrow the all-foam Nolah Original’s score for either hybrid.

Price, trial and delivery

Compare the same size and cooling option on the current Evolution and Comfort+ listings. Add taxes, delivery, setup and any foundation you need. Sale prices change, and the lowest displayed price may be for a different size.

Manufacturer-direct trial terms may differ from those for an order through Yawnder. Read Yawnder’s current return policy, including the minimum adjustment period, fees and exclusions. If an optional trial-waiver discount is selected, confirm how it changes comfort-return eligibility.

Buying directly from Nolah? Nolah says eligible mattresses purchased on or after October 7, 2026 have a 365-night trial with at least 30 nights of use before a return request. Eligible purchases before that date follow its 120-night trial and $99 pickup fee. Frequently asked questions

Is Comfort+ just a firmer Evolution?

No. It is a separate model with its own construction and intended audience. Compare the actual feel and the manufacturer’s current specifications.

Does a higher weight rating mean Comfort+ will feel firmer?

Not necessarily. A capacity rating and perceived firmness measure different things. Your body and sleeping position affect how a mattress feels.
