Nectar now has four core mattress tiers: Classic → Premier → Luxe → Ultra. Each is sold in memory foam and hybrid versions. The big differences are not just height: moving up the line adds more pressure-relieving foam, stronger cooling, and—at the Ultra level—zoned support and phase-change temperature regulation.
Classic is the value pick. Premier is the sweet spot for most shoppers. Luxe is for people who want noticeably more contouring and cooling. Ultra is the full-featured model with the deepest pressure relief, zoned support and Nectar’s most advanced temperature-control package.

Nectar Classic vs Premier: is Premier worth the upgrade?
Classic is still the cleanest entry point into the Nectar lineup. It gives you the brand’s basic memory-foam feel, a cool-to-touch cover and the lower price. Premier is where the lineup starts to feel meaningfully more substantial: it is an inch taller, uses about twice the pressure-relieving memory foam, and Nectar says it has more than 60% more cooling fibers than Classic.
If you are a back or combination sleeper who likes a firmer, less enveloping surface—or you simply want the lowest-cost Nectar—Classic makes sense. If you are debating the two and can comfortably afford the step up, Premier is easier to justify for side sleepers, couples and anyone who tends to notice pressure at the shoulders or hips.
Nectar Premier vs Luxe: what do you gain?
Luxe is not just a taller Premier. The 14-inch design moves further toward contouring and heat management. Nectar says Luxe has roughly three times the pressure-relieving memory foam and more than double the cooling fibers of Classic. That creates a more cushioned, body-hugging experience than the lower tiers.
The tradeoff is that more cushioning is not automatically better for everyone. Stomach sleepers and people who strongly prefer to sleep on rather than in a mattress may prefer Premier’s simpler feel. Luxe makes more sense when shoulder and hip pressure or sleeping hot are higher priorities.
Nectar Luxe vs Ultra: the biggest jump in the lineup
Ultra is the model that changes the formula the most. It is 15 inches tall and adds a zoned ergonomic support layer plus phase-change material for temperature regulation. Nectar also advertises about four times the contouring memory foam and four times the cooling fibers of Classic.
That makes Ultra the model to consider when you want the deepest pressure relief Nectar offers, especially for side and combination sleeping. It is also the hardest upgrade to justify strictly on value because the price jump is usually much larger than the earlier steps. If you do not care about zoned support or the most aggressive cooling package, Luxe or Premier can be the more rational place to stop.
Memory foam vs hybrid: choose the construction after the tier
Each Nectar tier now comes in both memory foam and hybrid form, so first decide how much cushioning/cooling technology you want, then choose the construction.

Which Nectar mattress is best for your sleep style?
Side sleepers
Start with Premier if you want a balanced feel. Move to Luxe or Ultra if shoulder and hip pressure are the main issue or you like a deeper cradle.
Back sleepers
Classic and Premier are the first places we would look. Ultra can work too, but its deeper comfort package is more than many back sleepers need.
Stomach sleepers
The simpler, firmer-feeling Classic or Premier is generally the safer starting point than the more deeply cushioned upper tiers.
Hot sleepers

The progression is easier to understand if you ignore the model names and look at what your extra money buys:
- Classic → Premier: more memory foam, stronger cooling and an extra inch of height.
- Premier → Luxe: deeper contouring and a bigger emphasis on cooling.
- Luxe → Ultra: zoned ergonomic support, phase-change material and the highest foam/cooling claims in the line.
That means there is no reason to automatically buy the most expensive Nectar. If your main goal is simply a supportive memory-foam bed at a reasonable price, the lower tiers can make more sense. The upper tiers are paying for a specific experience: more cradle, more temperature-control technology and, with Ultra, more targeted support.

Who should probably skip Nectar?
Nectar makes the most sense for shoppers who like some degree of foam contouring. If you want a very buoyant traditional innerspring feel with almost no hug, there are better places to start. Likewise, if you are a stomach sleeper who strongly prefers an extra-firm, flat surface, do not assume the thicker Luxe or Ultra is an automatic upgrade.
For shoppers at higher body weights, we also recommend paying closer attention to the hybrid versions because the coil unit generally gives you more pushback, edge structure and ease of movement than the all-foam version.
