Which should you choose?
For shoppers comparing an older Loom & Leaf with the Saatva Classic, the key difference is feel: Loom & Leaf was a memory-foam model, while the Classic uses a cushioned top and two coil systems for a more responsive innerspring feel.
Availability update: Saatva calls Loom & Leaf a previous model in its own comparison and points shoppers toward Contour5. We could not verify that a new Loom & Leaf is currently available. The historical model and Contour5 are not interchangeable; compare their exact specifications.

These are design differences, not a direct measured performance comparison. Comfort, motion and heat vary by sleeper and firmness.

What was Loom & Leaf?
Saatva historically listed a 12-inch, multi-layer foam design with a gel-infused top layer, a 2.5-inch memory-foam layer, transition foam and a support base. Relaxed Firm and Firm versions were offered. Those details describe the older model, not the current Contour5.
People who like a close body hug and lower bounce may prefer trying memory foam. Some sleepers find that slower-response foam makes repositioning more difficult or feels warm; room temperature, bedding and the individual mattress all matter.
Saatva Classic: who might prefer it?
The Classic’s coil-on-coil design and cushioned Euro top may suit shoppers who want more bounce and easier movement. Plush Soft, Luxury Firm and Firm provide different starting points; a side sleeper can prefer a softer surface, while some back or stomach sleepers prefer more support. Body weight and personal preference change the result.
Saatva lists 11.5- and 14.5-inch heights. The manufacturer says the 14.5-inch Classic is not compatible with adjustable bases, so verify compatibility before pairing either height with a base.

Today’s memory-foam alternative: Contour5
Saatva currently lists Contour5 as a 12.5-inch memory-foam mattress with Medium and Firm options. It is a current alternative for someone exploring foam, not proof that it feels identical to Loom & Leaf. Try the specific firmness and compare construction, price and return terms.
If you want a more traditional pillow-top feel, compare the Classic with options such as Stearns & Foster or Beautyrest; compare individual models rather than brand names alone.
Price, trial and delivery
Compare the current checkout prices in the same size and firmness; older figures are no longer reliable. Saatva currently advertises a 365-night home trial, in-room delivery and setup, and a lifetime limited warranty for its current mattresses. Its trial page lists a $99 processing fee for a pickup during return or exchange. Verify exclusions and current terms, especially when purchasing from another retailer.

Common questions
Is Loom & Leaf the same as Saatva Classic?
No. The older Loom & Leaf used memory-foam layers, whereas the Classic is a coil-on-coil innerspring.
Is Contour5 exactly the same as Loom & Leaf?
No. It is a separately specified current memory-foam model; compare construction and feel.
Does the taller Classic work on an adjustable base?
Saatva says the 14.5-inch version is not compatible. Check the 11.5-inch configuration and the base’s requirements.
