If you are considering making the leap from an inner spring to memory foam mattress you need make sure that you have a proper frame that will support you and the weight of the mattress adequately over time. A frame I highly recommend is the Ironwood Bed Frame. It is very sturdy yet portable and super easy to assemble. The frame arrives in a box not much bigger than a typical bed in a box. This means if you have narrow hallways to get through, you can maneuver easily and setup the frame inside the room.
As you can see below the entire contents of the frame come in one package. This is a queen size frame.
If you have ever put together an Ikea piece of furniture the process is just as easy if not easier. Total setup time takes about 30 minutes. Notice that you also get a fabric cover for the frame.

I was surprised at how hard it was to find a good bed frame for my bed. You can get wood cut from Home Depot in order to make slats but the problem is that the wood in the dimensions you need is of poor quality and will likely split. Additionally, many of the frames you get in some of the brick & mortar mattress stores are of poor quality and will affect how you sleep.
These bed frames will support up to 1,200 lbs. in weight. No need to worry about sagging or breaking the bed during nighttime activities. You can rest easy knowing you are properly supported.

A queen size ran about $300 when this frame was reviewed in 2015; current stock and pricing require confirmation. I have seen similar foundations north of $500, same type of construction and size.
I highly recommend this Ironwood for quality and durability. Best of all this frame is portable. If you find yourself moving frequently, it’s easy to take apart and move.
