How the Sierra Mattress Feels

This mattress is very well built. The sides are constructed of furniture grade upholstery to give the mattress a sophisticated look. It also has sewn handles on each side to make rotating and carrying the mattress much easier.

This mattress is a little on the softer side which is great for pressure relief. You can see below that the top of the mattress has a tufted look to it which creates little valleys for air to flow through keeping you cool at night. The knit belgian fabric cover also helps reduce motion transfer by moving in all directions to keep the mattress from pulling in any particular direction when sleeping.

Here’s a picture of the type of cover that Brentwood uses. The sides are stitched to the top and bottom of the mattress. This is important because most foam mattresses have covers that are zippered. Having a stitched cover gives the mattress a much neater look and makes you bed look great.

The Sierra mattress isolates motion very well as most memory foam mattresses do. However it can isolate motion and recover quickly which is a great feature for an all foam mattress.

This mattress has more hug than most of the online mattresses I have tested. That’s in part due to the unique cover and knitting that gives it a tufted feel and the fact that the top layers of foam are less dense creating a great sinking feeling that cradles you while you sleep. Unlike the ultra dense foam mattresses, this one will conform and recover quickly. People that wake up with sore shoulders or hips will appreciate how this mattress works.

My Sierra Mattress Recommendation

Brentwood home doesn’t cut any corners with the Sierra mattress. Even though it’s priced below $800 for a queen which is significantly less than most of the other competitors in the space. This is a great mattress for people that want the feeling on a high priced mattress without the high price tag. Most memory foam mattresses are very similar in how they are constructed. What differentiates them is where they are made. Foams poured in China for instance lack many of the controls in the United States which can lead to inconsistent feel across mattresses.
