Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress Review: Original Hands-On Hybrid Testing Restored
The Silk & Snow Hybrid page had been reduced to a stub even though Yawnder had an original king-size review with unboxing, construction, sinkage and side-sleeping observations.
Canadian-made hybrid
The reviewed Silk & Snow Hybrid combined foam, fabric and pocketed coils in a Canadian-made construction.
Firmer, on-top feel
Compared with the original Silk & Snow all-foam mattress, the Hybrid felt slightly firmer and more supportive. The reviewer described sleeping more on the mattress than deeply in it.
Zoned coils and edge support
The coil unit used zoning through the center plus a firmer perimeter. In practice that improved hip/lumbar support and made the edge more usable.
Contouring without excessive sink
The upper foam still provided pressure relief, but the spring unit limited how deeply the body settled into the bed. That also helped the mattress feel cooler than thicker all-foam designs.
Original side-sleeper impression
Despite the firmer feel, the mattress still allowed enough shoulder contouring for side sleeping while maintaining stronger support under the torso.
Current-shopping note
Silk & Snow has updated its Hybrid lineup over time. Verify today’s construction, trial and pricing separately; this page preserves Yawnder’s original hands-on Hybrid review.
