Serta Perfect Sleeper Innerspring Review (2026): Cascade Models

The current Perfect Sleeper innerspring range is organized around Cascade Ridge, Cascade Canyon, and Cascade Range. It brings Serta's linked Q4 spring design and five-zone comfort into a familiar quilted mattress. That matters because many search results still describe older Perfect Sleeper generations under names such as Renewed Night. The family name has stayed familiar while the actual support unit, comfort options, and heights have changed.

Quick verdict

Choose a Cascade model by firmness and top style first. Ridge is a lower-priced Plush; Canyon gives the broadest middle-tier choice; Range adds the higher-density Q4 support specification and upgraded comfort materials. An older Renewed Night review is not a substitute for evaluating these current builds.

Reasons to consider it

  • Current generation is clearly separated from older Perfect Sleeper models
  • Wide mix of firm, medium, plush, and pillow-top builds
  • Five-zone comfort across the Cascade range
  • Range offers distinct cover and comfort upgrades

What to weigh carefully

  • Ridge's listed current configuration is Plush, not a universal firmness choice
  • Linked Q4 coils should not be assumed to isolate motion like independent pocket coils
  • No current Yawnder standardized test for each Cascade SKU
  • Pillow-top height changes sheet fit and bed height

Current models and firmness choices

The model/tier and the selected feel belong together. The summaries below evaluate the current listed builds from manufacturer specifications; they are not a claim that every configuration has been sleep-tested at Yawnder.

Cascade Ridge Plush 12.5″

Cascade Ridge is listed as a 12.5-inch Plush. It uses the 860-density Q4 support designation, five-zone comfort, PillowSoft Aire foam, and CoolFeel fabric. It is the least complicated Cascade choice when a softer quilted surface is the preference. Dedicated stomach sleepers or anyone seeking minimal sink should start with a firmer Canyon or Range configuration instead of assuming the entry tier has every feel.

Current listed feels: Plush. Queen: $799.

Cascade Canyon

Cascade Canyon offers Firm 13-inch, Medium 13-inch, Plush 13.5-inch, Medium Pillow Top 14-inch, and Plush Pillow Top 14-inch configurations. The 860-density Q4 support remains, with wool in the temperature-management package. Its useful advantage is flexibility: compare Medium against Medium Pillow Top to decide how much surface padding you want without moving to another support tier.

Current listed feels: Firm 13"; Medium 13"; Medium Pillow Top 14"; Plush 13.5"; Plush Pillow Top 14". Queen: $899–$999.

Cascade Range

Cascade Range shown in Serta’s manufacturer photography. Surface and height can vary by feel.

Cascade Range lists Extra Firm 14-inch, Medium 14-inch, Firm Pillow Top 14.5-inch, and Plush Pillow Top 15-inch. It moves to the 920-density Q4 specification, premium memory foam, wool, and CoolFeel Plus fabric. Extra Firm is the starting point for shoppers seeking the least give; the two pillow tops serve very different firmness preferences despite both having added padding.

Current listed feels: Extra Firm 14"; Firm Pillow Top 14.5"; Medium 14"; Plush Pillow Top 15". Queen: $1,099–$1,299.

Construction and expected feel

Ridge and Canyon list an 860-density Q4 support system, while Range lists a 920-density version. Q4 links four coils into support units; it should not be described as the same construction as Classic's individually wrapped coils. Canyon adds a breathable wool layer to its cooling presentation, and Range pairs premium memory foam with CoolFeel Plus fabric. Manufacturer density labels do not establish a size-independent literal coil count or an independently measured durability advantage.

A quilted top introduces a padded finish above the support system. Canyon's Firm and Medium share a 13-inch profile, but its Plush is 13.5 inches and the two pillow tops are 14 inches. Range separates an Extra Firm and a Medium at 14 inches from taller pillow-top builds. Those choices should create distinct surface experiences; choosing the same collection name without its feel and height is not precise enough.

Which sleepers should compare it?

Sleeper How to choose
Side sleepers Compare Medium and softer options for shoulder and hip cushioning. Check that the waist and pelvis remain supported; a Plush label alone is not enough.
Back sleepers Start with a balanced Medium or Firm where offered. Check support through the lower back and avoid a top that lets the pelvis sink much farther than the upper body.
Stomach sleepers Compare the firmer available builds. A thick, soft pillow top deserves particular care if it allows the hips to drop.
Combination sleepers Test turning through your usual positions. Comfort-layer depth and the selected firmness can matter as much as whether the mattress has coils.
Different body sizes The same mattress can feel different to lighter and heavier people. Check shoulder pressure, hip support, and edge use on the exact configuration; we have not established a tested weight cutoff for this current family.

Cooling, movement, and couple considerations

Cooling

CoolFeel fabric, wool on selected tiers, and a coil-based support system give the line several temperature-management features. Range upgrades the cover specification to CoolFeel Plus. We have not measured an overnight or 20-minute cooling difference between the three Cascade tiers, so the upcharge should not be justified with a claimed temperature drop. Bedding and the amount of body-contouring foam still influence the experience.

Couples, movement, and edges

Q4's linked design is intended to distribute load through the mattress. It is a different tradeoff from an entirely independent pocketed-spring layout, and we would not assume identical motion isolation. Couples should compare actual partner movement, lying near the edge, and how the quilted top feels with both sleepers on the bed. The Medium and Medium Pillow Top choices can be starting points for mixed preferences without treating them as interchangeable.

Evidence note: These are construction-based buying considerations. We have not assigned new firmness, pressure-relief, motion, cooling, or durability scores to these current model variants. How Yawnder evaluates mattresses.

When the upgrade makes sense

Canyon is the useful comparison tier if you are unsure about pillow-top versus a flatter quilted finish. Ridge can be sufficient when its single Plush feel suits you. Range is worth its premium when you prefer one of its specific feels or comfort upgrades; a higher spring-density designation alone should not decide the purchase. Include delivery, old-mattress removal, and the seller's return fees in the quote.

Trial, warranty, delivery, and retailer terms

Direct purchases from Serta.com are described on the current product pages with a 100-night trial and a 10-year limited warranty. Serta recommends at least 30 days to adjust before initiating a comfort return. Warranty coverage addresses qualifying defects, rather than guaranteeing that you will prefer a firmness for ten years.

Serta’s current traditional-mattress product pages describe in-home delivery and old-mattress removal for qualifying direct purchases. Confirm the actual delivery date, access requirements, and removal eligibility on your order.

Retailer policies can differ. Get any exchange fee, return fee, required protector purchase, delivery charge, and final-sale restriction in writing before checkout. A manufacturer’s direct trial is not automatically the policy for a purchase from another store.

Common questions

Is the current Perfect Sleeper the same as Renewed Night?

No exact equivalence is established. The current Cascade product pages describe Q4 support and specific heights and feels. Our Renewed Night article remains a separate older-model record; use the exact generation and specification rather than the Perfect Sleeper family name alone.

Does this review include a current hands-on test?

This is a research and editorial evaluation of the current manufacturer-listed builds. Product materials, exact variants, prices, and shopping considerations are identified separately from Yawnder’s standardized testing. We do not assign new numeric scores without a test record for the exact configuration.

Which firmness should I choose?

Start with your usual sleep positions, your body size, and how much surface contouring you prefer. Compare the actual listed feel rather than choosing from a tier number or mattress height. Use the sleeper-fit table above, then test the exact configuration or confirm the seller’s trial terms.

Can it work with an adjustable base?

Serta lists adjustable-base compatibility on these product pages. Confirm the exact mattress size and selected base, particularly for split-head sizes, and follow the support and foundation requirements supplied with the mattress.

Can I try it at Yawnder?

Contact our Encinitas showroom before visiting to confirm which brands and exact models are on display. Inventory and display selection can change; a published review is not a guarantee that a mattress is currently on the floor.

The separately listed 2023 version

Serta still lists a product explicitly labeled 2023 Version. It is older-generation inventory, rather than a current Cascade configuration. Evaluate its own construction and seller terms, and do not import current Cascade specifications into that purchase.
