Quick answer: Saatva’s Friends for Life mattress warranty lasts as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress. Qualifying body impressions greater than 1.5 inches are covered.
How Saatva’s lifetime warranty works
| Years 1–2 | Defective mattress replaced with a new one at no charge |
|---|---|
| Year 3+ | Saatva repairs and re-covers a covered mattress; customer pays a $149 processing fee |
Fairness Replacement Option
Instead of repair, Saatva lets eligible owners keep the original mattress and buy a replacement at a percentage of the original full retail price: 50% in years 3–5, 60% in years 6–10, and 80% in years 11–15.
What is covered?
Defects in workmanship and materials under normal residential use are covered. Saatva specifically says body impressions greater than 1.5 inches qualify.
Important limitations
The mattress warranty is for the original purchaser and warranty service is available within the continental U.S. at the time of the claim.
See our Saatva return policy and mattress warranty guide.
Before contacting Saatva about a warranty issue
Keep your original order information and photograph both the mattress and the support system. For a body-impression complaint, measure the depression with no one on the mattress and save clear photos showing the measurement.
Repair vs. replacement matters
After the initial replacement period, Saatva’s repair path and Fairness Replacement Option are materially different remedies. Compare the processing cost, age of your mattress and replacement percentage before deciding which route fits your situation.
Warranty vs. Saatva’s sleep trial
Comfort returns and defect claims are separate. If the mattress is simply not comfortable and you are still eligible for the trial, start with our Saatva return-policy guide. For a defect outside the trial, the warranty terms above are the relevant path.
