What is inside?
Naturepedic describes the EOS Classic as an organic latex-and-coil mattress with adjustable layers inside a zippered enclosure. Its separate latex-free version uses microcoils instead of latex. Check the exact configuration and material list; standard and alternative models are not identical.
My Green Mattress describes the Natural Escape with three inches of organic Dunlop latex, organic wool and cotton, and a zoned pocketed-coil unit. Its comparison guide also discusses an optional latex topper for a softer surface.
Firmness, couples and fit
EOS customization can be useful for couples who want different feels, but confirm split-layer availability in your chosen size. With Natural Escape, compare the mattress on its own and the cost and feel of an optional topper. A topper can change surface cushioning but is not the same as rearranging the underlying mattress layers.
Latex tends to respond more quickly than slow-moving memory foam. Side sleepers may prefer additional cushioning; back and stomach sleepers may prefer a firmer surface. Test the exact setup where possible. Check mattress height, foundation requirements and access through your home.
Understanding organic certifications
