Kingsdown Passions review: compare the exact model

Passions is worth a look if you want a cushioned hybrid and the option to compare different comfort levels. Its appeal is the combination of a foam comfort system and zoned coil support. The collection name alone does not tell you its firmness, height, materials or current price.

What the original review covered

The older article described tri-zoned wrapped coils, stronger lumbar-area support, gel-infused memory foam and motion-damping materials above the spring unit. It presented a cushioned surface over a more supportive core, with comfort options varying by model and retailer.

That material explains the line’s design, but it does not establish one universal feel for every Passions mattress. The preserved article does not identify a complete standardized test record for each current model, so we do not assign collection-wide cooling, edge-support or motion-isolation scores.

Current model names matter

Kingsdown’s online collection lists several distinct configurations, including:

These are manufacturer labels, rather than Yawnder numerical firmness ratings. A pillow top can have a firm support feel; its shape does not automatically make it soft. Prices shown as “from” should not be treated as Queen prices or quotes for every configuration.

The manufacturer’s collection overview describes tri-zoned individually wrapped coils and heavier-gauge lumbar support, with comfort materials that can include gel memory foam and latex. Use the individual specification sheet to determine which materials are actually in your chosen mattress.

How to compare Passions mattresses

When trying one, write down the full model name, size, comfort label and retailer. Spend time in your usual sleeping position and assess shoulder cushioning, hip support and how easily you can change position. Sit near the edge if that matters for getting out of bed.

For couples, test movement with both people on the mattress. Individually wrapped coils and motion-damping foam describe a construction approach; they do not guarantee that a restless partner will be unnoticeable. Likewise, cooling fabrics and gel foam are features to assess in use, rather than promises of a specific temperature reduction.

Measure the complete bed height, including the foundation or adjustable base. A tall pillow top can change how easy it is to get in and out, and may require deeper fitted sheets.

Trial and delivery: confirm the seller’s terms

The Allsworth Firm product page describes a 100-night direct-purchase trial from delivery. It lists a $150 restocking fee for mattresses purchased after January 1, 2025, requires a clean, undamaged mattress and limits the offer to one exchange. Accessories and foundations are excluded.

Published-policy conflict: Kingsdown’s general customer-service FAQ still describes eligible direct returns as free. Ask the seller to confirm the fee and return process in writing before ordering. Retailer purchases have their own policies; do not assume the direct website trial applies.

The product page lists room-of-choice white-glove delivery, with old-mattress removal costing extra and geographic exclusions. Confirm your ZIP code, access requirements and haul-away charge. Adjustable-base delivery may be separate.

Warranty is separate from a comfort return

Current Passions pages list a ten-year limited warranty. Obtain the warranty document applicable to the exact model and purchase country, and keep the receipt and law label. Kingsdown’s claims page provides the warranty assessment process. A warranty concerns covered defects; it does not guarantee comfort or a ten-year usable lifespan.

Start with the Passions model that matches your preferred cushioning and support, then compare the final delivered price and return cost. Its range of comfort choices is useful only if you know which configuration you are testing and buying.
