Idle Sleep is a new online mattress brand that has multiple mattress models that have one thing in common, they can all be flipped. This means you can sleep on either side. This is a construction that harkens back many decades when you could maximize the lifespan on your mattress by wearing each side evenly. This was true then and is true now with Idle Sleep.
Their Dual Firmness mattress is a little different in that each side is a different firmness. This gives you the option of sleeping on a firm or soft side. A queen size currently retails for $1,199

My Idle Sleep Findings
Below is a photo of my 14 lb. bowling ball on the soft side of the Idle Sleep Mattress. On a firmness scale I would say this is a medium firm feel.
Here’s a photo of the firm side of the mattress which is more of a true firm feel.
There isn’t much motion transfer with this mattress since it is an all foam mattress. Below is a video illustrating motion transfer on the soft side. The soft side absorbs more motion than the firm side.
Here’s a video of the firm side of the mattress. There isn’t that much difference between the two but I noticed the soft side absorbed a little more motion.
My Idle Sleep Recommendation
Dual firmness mattresses are excellent guest bedroom mattresses because they give you two choices in one. But this mattress is also great for your bedroom every night. I prefer the softer side as I generally like a softer mattress but people on the lookout for a firm mattress will appreciate the firm side of the Idles Sleep.
