My verdict: a responsive organic hybrid, with an optional softer feel
The Happsy mattress I originally reviewed felt relatively firm and springy, with latex and pocketed coils providing a quicker response than slow memory foam. The separate latex topper made a noticeable difference in the amount of sinkage and cushioning in my test.
Best for: Shoppers looking for a latex hybrid, people who prefer a responsive feel, and buyers interested in certified materials.
Consider another option if: You want a deep, slow memory-foam hug, or you want a soft surface without buying or evaluating a separate topper.
Test context: The photographs and videos below show my original 2018 sample. Happsy now lists Medium-Firm and Plush versions; my historical experience should not be treated as a new test of both current versions.
My original Happsy test
My review sample arrived boxed. Its combination of latex and springs felt responsive and relatively firm without the additional topper. I noticed the mattress recovered quickly after compression and had more bounce than the slow-response foam beds I have tried.
That responsiveness made the bed feel easier to move on, but the original review found that it did not isolate motion as completely as some slow memory foams. Feel and partner movement will vary by body size and current model.
With and without the latex topper
The topper sat on top of the mattress instead of being sewn in. In my original comparison, the surface compressed noticeably more with the topper, adding cushioning for someone seeking a plusher feel. The photographs show the difference on my sample; they are demonstrations, not standardized pressure measurements.
Happsy currently describes its separately sold topper as two inches of GOLS-certified latex inside a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover. A topper changes the sleep surface and total bed height; it does not repair a worn-out support core.

Prices vary by size, firmness, topper and promotion. Happsy currently advertises a 120-night direct trial, free returns and a 20-year limited mattress warranty. Its separately sold topper has its own listed trial and warranty. Check the written terms and seller before purchase; a different retailer can have different policies.
Happsy says its mattress requires a suitable foundation and that placing it on the floor can affect the warranty. Check the current requirements for your bed frame or adjustable base.
