Unboxing

Position the mattress as you desire on the box spring and cut open the plastic wrapping. Once unwrapped and unfolded, the mattress will need a few hours to expand before it can be used.

The top layer of eLuxurySupply’s Gel Memory Foam Mattress consists of three inches of gel memory foam, which contours to the body and weighs three pounds. The open cell memory foam is specifically designed to provide a cooler and more comfortable experience.
Underneath the top gel layer lies seven inches of base foam, which weighs 1.8 pounds. Both the gel memory foam and the high-density base foam are certified by CertriPUR-US. This certification confirms that the foam contains no CFCs, mercury, lead, heavy metals, or formaldehyde. The mattress also has a machine-washable polyester weave protective cover, which is constructed from 80% polyester and 20% spandex.
Findings
This mattress is a little on the softer end of the spectrum due to the construction being all foam. Below is a picture that illustrates sink:
Here’s a video showing the inside of the mattress and the different layers. This mattress has two layers with a cooling gel layer on top.
There’s also really no bounce to this mattress which means less motion transfer.
Finally, here’s a video that illustrates heat retention. Because it is foam, it won’t dissipate heat as well as other materials such as inner springs, latex or a grid system such as Purple or Intellibed but there isn’t as much sink as a pillow top mattress either so I didn’t find this to really be an issue.
Conclusion
The eLuxury Supply 10 inch mattress should appeal to a wide array of sleepers. I recommend it to people that are of average weight or lighter that are looking for an inexpensive option. If you are above 225 lbs. I would recommend a thicker mattress to prevent any bottoming out when jumping into bed. I am around 190 lbs and didn’t have issues with this and you certainly won’t have a problem when lying down but if you want a more substantial mattress, you should go thicker.
At $624 for a queen it is priced below many of the online competitors. If you share via social media on their checkout page, you get an additional 10% off which brings the price down to around $562. The financing option makes it even more attractive if you are looking to sleep now and pay later.
I can’t speak to the long term durability of this mattress but it has solidi reviews both on their website and on Amazon. This mattress is a great choice for people looking to try memory foam at an accessible price.
