Overview of Brooklinen Sheets

Brooklinen is a direct-to-consumer bedding and home goods company founded in 2014. They offer high-quality and affordable sheets, comforters, pillows, towels, and other bedding accessories. Brooklinen products are designed in-house and are made from high-quality materials sourced from around the world. The company has gained popularity for their simple and stylish designs, as well as their commitment to transparency and sustainability in their production processes. Brooklinen has received positive reviews for the quality and comfort of their products, as well as their exceptional customer service. I was given a free set of Brooklinen sheets to review. Brooklinen is the newest disruptor for bed linens. Typically you end up paying to much for quality linens or are forced to settle with cheap linens from Target or Walmart that hold up OK but don’t have the quality feel. Recently I conducted a Parachute Sheets review. They are great sheets but the Brooklinen review will prove these are really something special.

How to Order Brooklinen Sheets

You can buy Brooklinen products directly from their website at brooklinen.com. They offer a wide range of bedding and home goods products, and you can easily browse their selection, choose the items you want, and make a purchase online. Brooklinen also occasionally offers sales and promotions, so you may be able to find discounts on their products from time to time. Additionally, Brooklinen products are also available for purchase from select retail partners, including Nordstrom and Crate & Barrel, so you may be able to find their products at these stores as well. Ordering sheets is super easy and you aren’t overwhelmed with choices. They carefully curate beautiful patterns or you can go with solid colors. Shipments arrive promptly and the packaging is outstanding. Check out the neat little handle for the box. brooklinen sheets box As you unbox the package you will find a nice Thank You note as well as a trendy cloth tote bag that you can reuse. brooklinen unbox Brooklinen review

How Do Brooklinen Sheets Feel?

On to the sheets themselves… I ordered a “Luxe Hardcore Bundle” of the white sateen sheets for $249.75, here’s what that bought me: 1 King size fitted sheet 1 King size flat sheet 1 King size duvet cover 2 Standard size pillow cases 2 King size pillow cases Here’s the screen shot from Brooklinen Brooklinen sheets cost As a comparison it would cost me $429 to get all this from Parachute. Here’s a screenshot of my shopping bag from Parachute. Parachute Price

Brooklinen Percale Sheets

I received a set of percale sheets from Parachute and those are also phenomenal sheets but they are still a bit out of my price range. I just came across Brooklinen through an article I read online about bedding industry disruptors and reached out to them. Brooklinen’s percale sheets are highly rated and well-loved by many customers. Percale is a type of weave that is known for its crisp and cool feel, which makes it a popular choice for those who prefer a more breathable and lightweight sheet. Brooklinen’s percale sheets are made from 100% long-staple cotton with a 270 thread count, which gives them a soft and smooth feel. Many customers have praised these sheets for their crispness and coolness, especially in warm weather. Additionally, Brooklinen’s percale sheets are known for their durability and ability to hold up well over time. Overall, if you are looking for a comfortable and breathable sheet that will keep you cool and comfortable all night long, Brooklinen’s percale sheets may be a great option for you. Brooklinen products are known for their high quality and luxurious feel. The company uses high-quality materials, such as long-staple cotton and Belgian flax, to create soft and comfortable bedding products. Their sheets, for example, are made from 100% cotton with a 480 thread count, which gives them a soft and silky feel. Many customers have reported that Brooklinen products are some of the most comfortable bedding items they have ever owned, and they have received high praise for their softness and durability. Brooklinen also offers a variety of different materials and weaves, so you can choose the texture and feel that is right for you.

Brooklinen Sateen Sheets

Brooklinen’s sateen sheets are another popular option among customers who prefer a softer and more luxurious feel. Sateen is a type of weave that has a silky, smooth feel and a lustrous sheen, which makes it a popular choice for those who want a more luxurious and elegant bedding experience. Brooklinen’s sateen sheets are made from 100% long-staple cotton with a 480 thread count, which gives them a silky and smooth feel. Many customers have praised these sheets for their softness and comfort, and they are often compared to the feeling of sleeping in a high-end hotel. Additionally, Brooklinen’s sateen sheets are known for their durability and ability to hold up well over time. If you are looking for a soft and luxurious bedding option, Brooklinen’s sateen sheets may be a great choice for you. The sateen sheets are very smooth and on par with my Frette sheets. Granted, the Frette sheets have exquisite stitching and colors and patterns that scream luxury but you certainly pay a premium for that. These sheets are 480 thread count, long-staple cotton. Some people may be shocked to hear of quality sheets being only 480 thread count but thread count really has nothing to do with quality. A better indicator is that they have long-staple cotton. That means that the threads can be weaved longer which means less lint in your washing machine and more durability for your sheets. After just one wash, my sheets were soft and smooth yet still crispy giving me that luxury hotel bed feel. I can’t believe that for under $200 I was able to transform the whole look of my bedroom. Not only are you buying comfort, you’re also buying a mini bedroom upgrade. Before you go out to the department stores to buy your next set of sheets, check out what Brooklinen has to offer first and then see if they can be beaten in terms of price and quality. Chances are you’ll be coming back to them. Brooklinen sheets have gained popularity among a wide range of customers, including individuals, couples, and families. They are particularly popular among those who value high-quality and comfortable bedding, and who are looking for affordable options that don’t compromise on quality. Brooklinen’s products have been featured in a variety of media outlets, including The New York Times, Forbes, and Good Housekeeping, and have received positive reviews from customers across the board. Many people who sleep on Brooklinen sheets appreciate the company’s commitment to sustainability and transparency in their production processes, as well as their exceptional customer service. Overall, Brooklinen’s products are well-suited for anyone who wants a comfortable, stylish, and high-quality bedding experience.

Brooklinen Warranty

Brooklinen offers a warranty on their products to ensure customer satisfaction and to stand behind the quality of their products. The specifics of the warranty may vary depending on the product, but in general, Brooklinen offers a one-year warranty on their bedding and home goods products. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship and allows customers to exchange or return products if they are not satisfied. To make a warranty claim, customers can contact Brooklinen’s customer service team and provide their order number and a description of the issue. Brooklinen’s team will work with the customer to resolve the issue and ensure their satisfaction. Overall, Brooklinen’s warranty policy is designed to provide peace of mind to customers and to ensure that they are completely satisfied with their purchase.

Brooklinen Flax Sheets

Brooklinen offers linen sheets made from 100% Belgian flax, which are known for their softness, breathability, and durability. Flax linen sheets have a unique texture and feel compared to traditional cotton sheets, and are highly sought after for their ability to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Brooklinen’s flax linen sheets are stonewashed for added softness and come in a range of colors and sizes to suit different preferences. Customers who sleep on Brooklinen’s flax linen sheets often appreciate their natural, organic feel and the way they get softer and more comfortable with each wash. Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable and durable bedding option that is both stylish and eco-friendly, Brooklinen’s flax linen sheets may be a great choice. Brooklinen’s linen sheets are made from 100% Belgian flax and are available in several sizes, including Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King. The prices of their linen sheets depend on the size you choose and whether you purchase a sheet set or individual pieces. As of this writing, the prices for Brooklinen’s linen sheets were as follows:

Brooklinen vs. Frette Sheets Which are Better?

Brooklinen and Frette are both known for their high-quality bedding products, but there are some key differences between the two brands that may impact which one is the best choice for you.
  1. Price: Brooklinen is generally more affordable than Frette, with prices starting at around $100 for a sheet set, while Frette’s sheet sets typically start at around $600.
  2. Materials: Brooklinen offers a variety of materials, including cotton, linen, and sateen, while Frette is known for its luxurious Egyptian cotton and silk blends.
  3. Style: Brooklinen offers a range of modern and stylish designs, while Frette is known for its classic and elegant designs.
  4. Manufacturing: Brooklinen’s products are made in factories that adhere to ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices, while Frette’s manufacturing practices are not as transparent.
  5. Retail presence: Brooklinen is primarily an online retailer, while Frette has brick-and-mortar stores and showrooms in many major cities around the world.
Ultimately, the choice between Brooklinen and Frette may come down to your individual preferences and budget. If you’re looking for high-quality bedding at a more affordable price point and value ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices, Brooklinen may be the better choice. On the other hand, if you prioritize luxury materials and classic designs, Frette may be the better option, despite the higher price point.

  1. Price differences aside, which of the two (Parachute or Brooklinen) is the more comfortable set of sheets? If you were in need of a good night’s sleep and there were two identical beds, one with a Parachute set of sheet and the other Brooklinen, which one would you choose? I’ve been looking at both for awhile now and can’t decide which way to go.

    • In my opinion they are both equal in comfort. Brooklinen has the advantage because it is much less expensive so therefore I would choose Brooklinen.

  2. Hi,

Would you recommend this over the company stores’ Comfort Wash Solid Linen Bedding?

    Thanks Bruv!

    • I have never tried the Company Store linens so don’t have any context. I will have to add them to my list for review.

  3. I put the Brooklinen sheets on my 10 inch mattress and while they weren’t super tight, they didn’t look messy either. I like the fitted sheets because they are just easier to put on. It comes down to how neat you like your bed.

  4. How do the Brooklinen sheets compare to the Boll & Branch sheets? Price aside, would you recommend one over the other?
    Thanks

    • They feel just about the same. So it really comes down to whether or not you have a preference for organic and what styles you like.

  6. I’d like to order a set of the luxe sheet but they are sold out, have you heard anything about when they might be avaliable?

    Reply
    • I don’t know when they will be back in stock. The company is growing so fast it seems like they are having a hard time keeping up with demand. This is also the case with Boll & Branch. However, they are worth the wait!

  7. I posted this comment on the Boll and Branch review page:

We have a set of the luxe sheets from Brooklinen as well as a set of sheets from Boll and Branch. Both are sateen weave. To me the Brooklinen sheets feel softer and a bit more substantial. However, we have only washed both sets a couple of times so far and they will probably both improve. The difference may be up to the thread count as Brooklinen is 480 and Boll and Branch is 300.

Please don’t misinterpret — the Boll and Branch sheets are excellent and are organic and free trade. However, based on material and our preference we would probably buy the Brooklinen luxe set again even though they don’t sell split king sets like Boll and Branch and it cost us more to buy from Brooklinen. If you prefer lighter sheets you may prefer Boll and Branch.

  8. I don’t typically leave reviews, but Brooklinen’s sheets are so wonderful I felt the need to tell everyone. I have had the Luxe sheet set for almost a year and recently upgraded to a Brooklinen comforter too. The ties in the corners of the duvet cover make making the bed super easy.

The whole set makes my college dorm room bed feel like it was plucked out of a luxury hotel room. I recommend them to anyone and everyone!

  9. I have to be honest — I am pretty shocked by the positive reviews of Brooklinen sheets. I ordered a set back when they were on kickstarter and haven’t been impressed. They are just uncomfortable, plain and simple. The best analogy I can come up with is that they feel as though you’re lying on nylon, which leads to an uncomfortable ‘static-y’ type of feeling. I recommend that people in the market for sheets save their money and not get swayed by the hip, direct-to-consumer marketing here – in the end the product falls far short of expectations.

    • It depends on what kind of feel you’re after. The Snowe sheets have a crisper feel to them, think of a very crisp hotel sheet. The Brooklinen are a bit softer but still have a nice smooth feel.

  10. I am now on year 2 of using Brooklinen ,save a few months. I love them. I have 3 king sheet sets and mix and match of duvets and pillow cases (different colors etc…) I have received some great sheets from family and gifts through the year including fret. Some have felt better and seemed to be of great quality, but also cost 4 to 5x as much. The white sheets get really dirty with my dogs and always come clean. Love them. They feel nice and cool on my foam mattress. The only sheets I put above them when you factor in style, quality and price are the linen sheets from Parachute. More expensive, but I LOVE linen sheets, just not the prices.

I do have a complaint thought. I have the Navy sheet set and unlike both sets of my white sheets, the blue seem to stretch after 3 or 4 days of use. I hate loose sheets!

  11. I realize this is somewhat of an old thread, but I am wondering if there is a recommendation for those of us north of the border? I am really interested in Brooklinen sheets, and especially like the styles that are available. But once conversion and shipping is factored in we are looking at over $300 for a set of sheets. Any help would be greatly appreciated

  12. Has anyone tried Westin hotel sheets they are amazing!! I bought sol sheets and find them short weave almost prickly. I never read reviews for Westins bedding which I would love to know how they compare to parachute and Brooklinen

  13. I fell for this company’s marketing strategy… Basically, advertisements that are crafted to look like real articles which “review” the sheets. Don’t waste your money. The sheets are not nearly as good as what you can get for even less money at a department store or online. Plus, they charge for shipping, which takes a week, they charge a return “service fee,” and they charge you for the return shipping. This is a scam. And they can keep the stupid bag and fancy box they ship in. Very angry ex-customer.

  15. I’m currently trying to decide between Brooklinen or parachute for sheets to go on my Brentwood oceano mattress. With the mattress being 15″, would the 15″Brooklinen sheets fit without coming off or will I need to go for the larger 16″ parachute sheets.

  16. Ben, where do you live? Do you need to run AC in the summer? I’m leaning towards percale sheets where I am in California – breathability is key.

    Which set would you recommend?

    Reply
    • I live in Minneapolis and yes it gets hot and humid here in the summer so definitely run AC. I would go with the percale as that will be more breathable than a sateen.

  17. We live in Florida in the winter and New York in the summer. I am 61 and grew up with percale sheets. They are light, cool, and smooth — great for Florida. So we love the Brooklinen basic percale. I am not such a fan of the smooth sateens — although soft, they are definitely heavier and do not breathe as well. Most “youngsters” have not slept under percale sheets, but I promise you will love them. And the older I get the more I appreciate lightweight bedding!

  18. I have to give a little background.

We bought a set of these about 3 years ago. They get used every night, washed in cold water and dried on low heat once per week, and put right back on the bed.

From the moment they got washed the first time, there were tons of wrinkles. Oddly, those wrinkles never go away and they are creased in exactly the same pattern from then on.

After about 14 months, we noticed there were patterns of wear holes along those creases. Many tiny little holes.

I contacted the company, and I have to say they were great to deal with. They guarantee their sheets really well, and after a couple emails-and I included photos of the damage-they sent out a new set free of charge. They paid for me to ship the old set back so they could better evaluate what had happened.

As an aside, we bought a set of these sheets for a guest bed also. They only get used 6-8 times per year, and they look great.

Back to the primary set. It has been a year or more now since getting the replacement set-which by the way wrinkled immediately on the first washing/drying-and they are showing the same signs of perforations.

I like the company, but we will look elsewhere for the next set.
The only thing that could make us an exception is we have a well, and even though we have the water treated with an ph neutralizer and a water softener, there could be something with our water.
We have not had this problem with any other sheets or clothing.

    Thanks-sorry this was so long!
