Brentwood Home Cypress Bamboo Gel Review: Original Hands-On Review Restored
Yawnder received the Cypress Bamboo Gel from Brentwood Home and reviewed it when the company was still a smaller Los Angeles-based manufacturer. That first-hand context had disappeared from the live page.
What we received
The reviewed Cypress Bamboo Gel was a foam-focused Brentwood Home mattress designed as a more affordable option within a broader lineup of different materials and firmnesses.
Brand/manufacturing context
At the time of the review, Brentwood Home designed and manufactured its mattresses in its own Los Angeles-area facilities, giving the company direct control over production.
Foam construction
The Cypress line used pressure-relieving foam over a denser support core. Later versions of the Cypress family expanded into multiple heights and hybrid options, so the exact build depends on era.
Why the old review matters
The original article documented an early-generation Brentwood Home mattress from before the brand’s product line evolved substantially. Restoring that context prevents the page from pretending the current Cypress is unchanged.
Current-shopping note
Brentwood Home has revised the Cypress line several times. Treat this as a legacy hands-on review and verify the construction of the current Cypress model separately.
