YAWNDER MATTRESS REVIEW
Review method: This guide evaluates Costco’s published listing for the Beautyrest Black Hybrid LX Class Medium. It does not report a hands-on test of this specific model. Availability, pricing and retailer terms may change.
Our Verdict
The Beautyrest Black Hybrid LX Class at Costco is a candidate if you want a premium-branded, medium-feel hybrid with memory foam and delivery service. Costco’s listing describes a 13.5-inch mattress with cooling-oriented materials and Beautyrest’s Premier Support System. The main shopping question is whether its delivered price and feel suit you better than other Beautyrest Black models and premium hybrids.
The LX Class is a specific retail model. Do not assume its internal construction or performance is identical to a similarly named Beautyrest Black sold elsewhere. We have not tested this model, and the available listing does not establish a complete layer-by-layer specification.

- Anyone comparing a different Beautyrest Black series without checking that exact model.
Construction and Cooling
Costco lists BlackICE with plant-based cooling, Beautyrest Gel and AirCool memory foams and Beautyrest’s Premier Support System. It describes the LX Class as a hybrid and medium feel. The listing does not provide enough detail to assert the thickness or density of every layer. Ask Costco or Beautyrest for current model-specific specifications if those details affect your decision.
Cooling materials are passive. A cool initial touch is different from active temperature control throughout the night; bedding, a protector, room temperature and individual preferences all matter. We have not independently measured the LX Class’s cooling.
Firmness and Sleeping Positions
Costco calls this version medium. A firmness label is a starting point, not a standardized measurement. Side sleepers should check shoulder and hip pressure; back sleepers should look for comfortable contact and hip support; stomach sleepers should assess whether the hips sink uncomfortably. The same surface can feel firmer to a lighter sleeper and softer to a heavier sleeper.
For couples, test motion by having one partner move while the other remains still. Sit and lie near the edge to assess getting in and out and usable sleeping space. We do not have model-specific Yawnder measurements for either feature.
What Costco members report
On October 29, 2026, Costco displayed 4.3 out of 5 stars from 188 reviews, including 125 five-star and 11 one-star ratings. Customer feedback may cover different configurations and can change; it is not a Yawnder test score or a prediction of your experience.
Dimensions and delivery considerations
Costco lists the queen at 60 by 79.5 by 13.5 inches and 156.1 pounds; the king is 76 by 79.5 by 13.5 inches and 201 pounds. Measure your room, bed frame and stairs before delivery, and check your fitted sheets’ pocket depth. Costco identifies the mattress-only listing as item 1899896; the bed frame, headboard and accessories are not included.
The listed white-glove delivery includes eligible haul-away, requires a signature and has an estimated 2–3 week timeframe. The carrier schedules delivery, and unusual delivery requirements may cost extra. Costco says California members who do not receive haul-away at delivery can request it within 30 days; confirm the service and any restrictions for your address.
How It Compares With Other Beautyrest Models
Beautyrest Black is a broad family with different retail models and constructions. A Costco LX Class should be compared by full name, dimensions and specifications rather than assuming it matches a store’s Black Hybrid Series 2 or another Black model. Pricing and sales terms can also differ. For a broader perspective, browse Yawnder’s Beautyrest Black coverage.
Before choosing, compare the same mattress size, delivered price, removal service, return process and any foundation requirements. Greater height or a luxury label alone does not prove a mattress will last longer.
Costco Price, Delivery, Returns and Warranty
Costco’s accessible listing did not display a reliable price when checked October 27, 2026. Sign in and select your size and delivery address to see the current price and availability. A membership or delivery-area restriction may apply.
The listing describes white-glove delivery and haul-away, with location and condition restrictions and potential charges for extraordinary delivery requirements. Confirm scheduling and removal eligibility before ordering, including California-specific instructions if old-mattress haul-away is not completed at delivery.
Costco references its satisfaction guarantee, subject to limitations. Confirm the current return process and any model-specific restrictions with Costco; do not assume the manufacturer’s direct trial applies. The listing links to the manufacturer’s warranty but does not state all terms. Beautyrest advises customers who bought through a retailer to contact that retailer for warranty help; check the law-tag warranty code and ask Costco about the claim process, then review Beautyrest’s warranty for coverage, required support and claims.
