Joybed Mattress Review: Original Natural-Fiber Hybrid Testing Restored
The Joybed page had lost the most useful part of the original review: a hands-on look at a latex-free natural-fiber hybrid.
What we tested
Yawnder received a queen Joybed LX. The LX was the firmer model in the lineup and used natural-fiber comfort layers rather than latex or conventional foam.
Materials
The original construction used organic cotton fabric, plant-based fire-barrier fibers, cotton, wool and additional cotton padding above individually pocketed coils with edge support.
Why it felt different
Without thick foam layers, the mattress had a more traditional, breathable fiber-and-spring feel. It expanded quickly after unboxing and did not have the slow recovery typical of compressed memory foam.
Who it appealed to
The most distinctive use case was shoppers wanting a more natural-material mattress without latex. That is a narrower niche than generic “organic mattress” marketing and worth preserving.
