What the current ratings mean

The published overall numbers were supplied as editorial ratings. The previous motor and feature subscores were generated from those overall numbers, and the value subscore used brand-based defaults. They did not independently validate the overall rating and have been removed from the buying guide.

The previously published percentage weights should not be used to reproduce the current ratings. A measured score requires a documented result for each criterion and a reproducible calculation. Until those records are available, use the ratings as editorial guidance alongside the specifications and your own requirements.

What to compare

• Movement and controls: head and foot articulation, presets, remote usability and noise.
• Comfort features: massage, lumbar support, head tilt and wall-hugger travel.
• Mobility needs: whole-bed height adjustment, support accessories and setup requirements.
• Construction and warranty: load limits and separate coverage for the frame, motors, parts and labor.
• Value: the current price for the selected size and configuration, including delivery and optional accessories.

Evidence and availability

Manufacturer specifications, editorial judgments and hands-on observations are different kinds of evidence. Mattress compatibility depends on the exact mattress and base. Confirm flexibility, size, thickness, weight limits and warranty requirements with both manufacturers before using them together.
