Tall hybrid design with a plush pillow top, zoned support, and a cool touch cover for side sleepers and couples who want true luxury at home.
Helix Midnight Elite set up in the Yawnder showroom with pillows and natural light. The sixteen inch profile gives a very substantial feel right away.

Video walk through of the Helix Midnight Elite and who it fits best.
How it sleeps
The first thing you notice is the height. At sixteen inches it feels substantial the moment you sit down. The quilted pillow top has a boutique hotel vibe with a deep cushioned surface that still keeps you on top of the mattress rather than swallowed by it.
As a side sleeper I felt my shoulders and hips gently sink into the comfort layers while my lower back stayed supported. After a few nights I noticed less morning stiffness through my lumbar area. Back sleeping also felt stable and aligned. Stomach sleeping was fine for short naps yet this model clearly favors side and back positions.
Motion transfer is very low. I ran a simple water glass check and casual tossing and turning barely moved it. That combination of microcoils, wrapped coils, and dense foams makes this a strong choice for couples.
Edge support is better than you might expect from a plush top. Sitting on the edge or sleeping close to it feels secure thanks to the reinforced perimeter coil design.
Performance scores
Pros
- Luxurious pillow top feel with strong underlying support
- Great pressure relief for side and combination sleepers
- Very good motion isolation for couples
- Reinforced edge support that feels secure
- Advanced cooling fabric included at no extra charge
- CertiPUR US certified foams
- One hundred night trial and ten year warranty
Cons
- Premium price compared to the standard Helix line
- May feel soft for sleepers who want a very firm surface
- Heavy and not easy to move once fully expanded
Why I rate the feel five point five of ten
Helix positions this as medium firm, yet the thick pillow top and comfort stack give it a softer initial impression. There is a clear sink at shoulders and hips especially for side sleepers. Under that you can feel the zoned coil system holding you up. The effect is more sleeping in the mattress rather than floating on top which is exactly what many luxury shoppers want.

Helix Midnight Elite vs Saatva Classic
- Strong pressure relief from memory foam and microcoil stack
- Zoned lumbar support that targets the lower back
- Excellent motion isolation for partners
- Cool touch cover and coil core aid temperature control
- Often more affordable during promotions compared with many luxury showroom models
Saatva Classic
- Traditional innerspring feel with a plush Euro style top
- Very strong edge support from thick coil perimeter
- Multiple firmness choices lean friendlier to back and stomach sleepers
- Delivered with in room setup rather than boxed
- Higher price for many sizes compared with Helix Midnight Elite
If you are a side sleeper or combination sleeper who wants deep relief at pressure points with minimal motion transfer, Helix Midnight Elite is usually the better fit. If you are a strict back or stomach sleeper who likes a more traditional innerspring feel with extra firm edges, Saatva Classic can be a strong alternative.

Helix Elite collection overview
Helix built the Elite collection for people who want a taller profile and more refined comfort than the standard line. Every Elite model uses high density foams, microcoils, and GlacioTex Elite cooling fabric on top of a zoned coil base. The difference between models comes from the blend of comfort foams and feel of the top section.
Sunset Elite
Good for back and stomach sleepers who like a firmer and more traditional coil feel.
Soft and plush for side and combination sleepers who want maximum contouring.
Medium leaning soft for side and combo sleepers who want relief without losing support.

I have slept on the Helix Midnight Elite for an extended period at home and in the showroom. If you want a tall, plush yet supportive hybrid that still runs cool, it is one of the standouts in the boxed luxury category.
