Individual Model Reviews
Osaki Ziva — Compact Essentials
If you want relief without the footprint or the price tag, Ziva delivers core knead, tap and rolling in a space-saver frame. Great for apartments or offices where a full-size shell would dominate the room. Expect simpler controls and fewer presets, but solid daily stress relief.
Osaki EPI — Everyday Workhorse
EPI steps up with body scanning and a wider preset range. The scan maps your shoulders and spine so the rollers track where you actually carry tension. More airbags around the arms and calves provide fuller coverage. It is the sensible “buy once, use daily” sweet spot.
Osaki Yoga Flex — Mobility Boost
Yoga Flex focuses on decompression and flexibility. The stretch and inversion-style programs gently lengthen the spine and open hips. If you cycle, lift, or sit long hours, these routines feel like a guided stretch session that resets posture and range of motion.
Osaki Manhattan — Design-Forward Luxury
Manhattan blends into modern décor with cleaner lines and upgraded upholstery. Under the hood, you get richer manual controls to set roller depth, tempo, and region. For buyers who refuse to trade aesthetics for function, this is the pick.
Osaki Apex Duo — Two Experiences in One
With dual-track rollers, Apex Duo can dig in for deep tissue then switch to a smoother glide path that calms the nervous system. It is ideal for households with mixed preferences or for athletes who want intensity post-workout and relaxation in the evening.
Osaki Duomax SE — Flagship, Full Stop
Duomax SE layers AI scanning, heated rollers, and multi-mode zero gravity for a spa-level experience at home. The per-zone control lets you dial in shoulders vs lumbar vs calves precisely. If you want “best of the brand,” this is it.
Technology That Matters
✓
Body Scanning maps shoulder height and back curvature for accurate roller placement.
✓
S/L-Track Rollers follow the spine then wrap under the seat to address glutes and hamstrings.
✓
Air Compression in shoulders, arms, calves and feet improves circulation and complements roller work.
✓
Zero Gravity reduces spinal load and deepens pressure without cranking intensity.
✓
Heated Rollers add therapeutic warmth for stubborn knots.
✓
Stretch Programs simulate assisted yoga to restore posture and mobility.
Pros & Considerations
What We Like
Clear ladder of features from $1,700 to flagship — easy to match budget and needs.
Consistent 3-year warranty across the line.
Standout programs: Yoga Flex stretch and Apex Duo dual-track versatility.
Design-forward option in Manhattan that complements modern spaces.
Keep In Mind
Entry models are intentionally simple; power users should look EPI and up.
Premium shells require floor space and thoughtful placement.
Delivery and assembly can be a two-person job due to weight.
Which Osaki Chair Should You Buy?
✓
Budget stress relief: Ziva.
✓
All-around daily use: EPI.
✓
Mobility & recovery: Yoga Flex.
✓
Design-first luxury: Manhattan.
✓
Intensity + relaxation in one chair: Apex Duo.
✓
Flagship everything: Duomax SE.
Final Verdict
Osaki’s 2025 catalog makes it simple: start with Ziva for compact relief, step to EPI for daily therapy, pick Yoga Flex for stretch, choose Manhattan for design, go Apex Duo for dual-track versatility, and crown it with Duomax SE if you want the most advanced experience available.
Bottom line: reliable warranty, clear feature tiers, and options that fit real living spaces. That is why Osaki stays on our shortlist for home massage in 2025.
If you’re on the hunt for the ultimate massage chair, chances are you’ve come across Human Touch and Osaki—two of the biggest names in the game. Both brands promise to melt away stress, ease those nagging aches, and make you feel like royalty in your own home. But which one actually delivers the best bang for your buck?
Let’s break it down: the most popular Human Touch models, how they stack up against Osaki, and why Osaki might just be the better choice for serious massage lovers.
Human Touch Massage Chairs: High-Tech Meets Luxury
Human Touch has been around for over 40 years, perfecting the art of relaxation. Their chairs don’t just feel amazing—they also look sleek and stylish, often blending seamlessly into modern home decor. But how do they perform?
Most Popular Human Touch Models
Super Novo – This is Human Touch’s flagship beast, packed with 4D massage rollers, Alexa voice control, dual lumbar heat, and zero-gravity reclining. If you want a high-end massage chair that can practically read your mind, this is it. Expect to pay around $10,000 for the privilege.
Novo XT – A slightly toned-down (and more affordable) version of the Super Novo, but still packed with 35 auto-wellness programs and an L-track system that works your spine, glutes, and hamstrings.
Sana – A solid mid-range option that delivers a deep, invigorating massage without the sky-high price tag. Perfect for post-workout recovery.
ZeroG 5.0 – If you love zero-gravity recliners, this one adds massage capabilities with calf and foot rollers for a soothing leg treatment. Great for those who want something compact but effective.
Gravis ZG – This one is all about heat therapy and ultimate comfort. It’s more of a luxury recliner that happens to give you a solid massage—ideal for home or office use.
What Human Touch Does Well
✔️ Super smooth massage technology – Their FlexGlide® system avoids that awkward “pinching” feeling some chairs give you. ✔️ Beautiful design – Many models don’t look like typical massage chairs, making them great for home decor. ✔️ Excellent build quality – Durable, well-engineered, and backed by solid warranties. ✔️ Therapeutic benefits – Recommended by chiropractors, with warming heat zones and CirQlation® calf massage for better blood flow.
Where Human Touch Falls Short
❌ Fewer customization options – Some models lack body scanning or intensity adjustments, meaning they might not fit your exact needs. ❌ Pricier than competitors – You might be paying more for the aesthetics rather than cutting-edge tech. ❌ Limited programs – While their chairs feel amazing, they sometimes lack variety in massage styles.
Osaki Massage Chairs: Feature-Packed and Wallet-Friendly
Osaki has been making serious waves in the massage chair world by delivering high-tech features at unbeatable prices. While they may not have Human Touch’s design elegance, they pack in more massage power for less money.
Why Osaki Stands Out
Super feature-packed – Even their budget-friendly models come with body scanning, foot rollers, Bluetooth speakers, and air compression massage.
More intensity options – Many Osaki chairs let you adjust massage strength, so whether you want a gentle rub or deep tissue work, you’re covered.
Better value for the price – You’ll find more 4D roller systems, heated airbags, and customized programs at lower price points compared to Human Touch.
Tons of variety – They have way more models than Human Touch, so you can find something tailored to your body type, massage preference, and budget.
Where Osaki Wins Over Human Touch
💰 More features for less money – You can get a fully-loaded 3D/4D massage chair for half the price of a comparable Human Touch model. 🦵 More customization – Adjustable massage intensity, zero-gravity recline settings, and multiple massage techniques. 🤖 Better technology – AI voice control, touchscreen remotes, and even health sensors on some models. 👣 Superior foot massage – Osaki’s foot rollers are next-level, providing deep relief that Human Touch sometimes lacks.
Where Osaki Could Improve
⚠️ Not as “pretty” – Some models look bulky and tech-heavy, which might not blend well into a stylish home. ⚠️ Customer service varies – While they offer great warranties, support experiences can depend on where you buy. ⚠️ Can be more intense than expected – If you prefer a gentler massage, you may need to adjust the intensity settings.
Human Touch vs. Osaki: Price Comparison

Human Touch (Avg. Price)
Osaki (Avg. Price)
Entry-Level Chairs
$1,500 – $3,500
$1,999 – $3,500
Mid-Range Chairs

$3,000 – $6,500
High-End Chairs
$7,500 – $10,000+
$6,500 – $9,500
🔹 Bottom line? Osaki usually packs in more technology for the price, while Human Touch focuses more on design, comfort, and long-term durability.
Final Verdict: Which One Should You Buy?
Go with Human Touch if…
✅ You want a massage chair that doubles as stylish furniture. ✅ You prefer a super smooth, human-like massage over intense deep tissue. ✅ You value top-notch build quality and long warranties. ✅ You don’t need a million features—just an effective, relaxing massage.
Go with Osaki if…
✅ You want the most high-tech features for your money. ✅ You love intense, deep tissue massages with full-body coverage. ✅ You want body scanning and precise customization. ✅ You’re looking for the best overall value without sacrificing quality.
The Winner?
🎉 If you want luxury, comfort, and a refined massage experience, Human Touch wins. 🎉 If you want maximum features, deep tissue intensity, and better value, Osaki takes the crown.

X-Chair is a brand of ergonomic office chairs that was founded in 2012 by Aaron Alexander. Alexander was inspired to start the company after he experienced back pain from sitting in a traditional office chair for long periods of time.
Alexander wanted to create an office chair that would provide superior comfort and support, even after sitting for hours on end. He worked with a team of engineers and designers to develop a chair that featured a number of innovative ergonomic features, including:
Dynamic Variable Lumbar (DVL®) support: This system provides adjustable lumbar support that conforms to the natural curve of your spine.
SciFloat Infinite Recline: This reclining mechanism allows you to recline to any angle without having to worry about the chair falling over.
AirGrid™ mesh: This breathable mesh material helps to keep you cool and comfortable while you sit.
X-Chair mattresses quickly gained a reputation for being some of the most comfortable and supportive office chairs on the market. The company’s chairs are now used by people all over the world, including CEOs, professional athletes, and gamers.
In 2020, X-Chair launched its X-HMT model, which is a heated and massage office chair. The X-HMT model features four different massage modes and two heating levels to help users relax and relieve tension.
X-Chair is committed to providing its customers with the best possible seating experience. The company’s chairs are backed by a 15-year warranty, and the company offers free shipping and returns.
X-Chair is a leading manufacturer of ergonomic office chairs. The company’s chairs are designed to provide superior comfort and support, even after sitting for long periods of time. X-Chair chairs are used by people all over the world, and the company is committed to providing its customers with the best possible seating experience.
I purchased an X77 massage chair from X-chair to display at our mattress store in San Diego. At first, I thought it would be a novelty for people to use as in between trying out mattresses. Most people are skeptical of it but still curious. When I encourage customers to give it a try, they are converts. While the price is high, these chairs easily pay for themselves quickly, especially if you go to a masseuse on a regular basis. Most people will also qualify for financing to make the monthly payments of about $100 more affordable. Anyone that knows the benefits of massage therapy will realize that this isn’t just a novelty item but can benefecial to your daily health and completely transform how you feel. Below are my findings after using the X77 regularly for 3 months.
Overview of the X77 Massage Chair
Below is a video overview of some of the major features of the X-Chair. What I really like about this is that I am tall, about 6’4 and so getting into other models of massage chairs can be difficult. That wasn’t the case with the X77. I also have big feet, size 13 so having the foot massage open ended is ideal so that my feet don’t get too cramped.
Features of the X77 Massage Chair
Height 30 – 48” (76 – 122 cm)
Depth: 59 – 80” (150 – 203cm)
Seat Width/Depth: 17” W / 18” D
User Weight Limit: 265lb
Recommended User Height: 5’0” – 6’5”
Chair Weight: 251 lbs
My X77 Massage Chair Findings
If you are new to the massage chair world, X-Chair is a good place to start. It is easy to setup and has a simple, straightforward interface with some really good presets. While it doesn’t have some of the fancier features as other chairs such as the Osaki, it has a sleek design and is something you are bound to use over and over.
X-Chair offers free white glove delivery which I strongly recommend. Here’s a picture of the box it is shipped in. It’s shipped freight so you will need to schedule a time, or, the white glove delivery will coordinate delivery and install. For this review, I decided to set it up myself so I can better understand how it works.
Like most massage chairs, this one comes in 2 big parts. The seat and the legs. Most of the install time is simply unpacking everything and cleaning it up.
The other box includes the seat pad and foot attachment. The hardest part of installation is connecting the foot attachment to the seat simply because it is heavy and you need to align the bolts correctly. Once that is done, connecting the tubes and other pieces is fairly easy.
How does the X-Chair X77 Massage Chair Feel?
I have tried all the preset massages and my favorite is the X stretch. It basically grabs your feet and leaves them grounded then stretched the back so that your hips really open up. It feels amazing.
I never really considered myself a massage chair person but they do feel great. I prefer to use it in the evening to wind down at night. If I use it in the morning, I can get lazy.
The X77 has been a big hit at our Mattress Store in San Diego. Customers enjoy a quick massage after picking a mattress and some have come back to purchase a massage chair. What I also like about the xChair massage chair is that given the cost it is significantly less than a hydro massage chair but has all the benefits and none of the maitenance and it is much smaller.
How Much Does the X77 Massage Chair Cost?
The X77 with synflex fabric is on sale for 8799.99. The X77 with Brisa fabric is on sale for $8299.99. If you want an even better deal, contact us for exclusive pricing. We are an authorize X-Chair Premier Dealer and offer the same 3 Year warranty and 30 Day trial.
You can finance the X77 for about $100/month which is far less than hiring a masseuse more than once a month.

Understanding the Ceragem V6: A Deep Dive into Its Functionality
In the realm of therapeutic massage devices, the Ceragem V6 has emerged as a paragon of innovation, blending traditional healing methods with state-of-the-art technology. But what lies beneath its sleek exterior, and how does it deliver on its promise of a tailored spinal health experience? Let’s delve into the mechanics and science behind this groundbreaking device.
1. Intelligent Spine Scanning Technology
Central to the Ceragem V6’s efficacy is its spine scanning technology. Before initiating any massage session, the device conducts a thorough scan of the user’s spine. Using precision sensors, it detects the unique curvature and nuances of the individual’s spinal structure. This data is then used to customize the subsequent massage, ensuring that pressure and movement are applied in a manner that’s most beneficial to the user.
2. Far Infrared Rays (FIR) and Jade Integration
The Ceragem V6 doesn’t just rely on mechanical pressure to deliver its therapeutic benefits. It incorporates the healing properties of far infrared rays (FIR) and jade. FIR, a segment of the natural light spectrum, is known for its deep penetrating heat. When emitted by the Ceragem V6, these rays penetrate deep into the body, enhancing blood circulation and aiding in the relief of pain and tension.
Jade, a natural stone long revered in various cultures for its healing properties, is used in the device’s rollers. As these jade rollers move along the spine, they not only provide a consistent and soothing pressure but also emit FIR, amplifying the therapeutic effects.
3. Customizable Intensity and Modes
Recognizing that every individual’s therapeutic needs and comfort levels vary, the Ceragem V6 is equipped with multiple intensity levels and modes. Users can choose from gentle relaxation sessions to more intense therapeutic experiences, allowing for a highly personalized approach to spinal health.
4. Ergonomic Design
Beyond its technological prowess, the Ceragem V6’s design plays a crucial role in its functionality. Its ergonomic structure ensures that users, regardless of their body type, can lie down comfortably. This design ensures that the spine is correctly aligned and positioned to receive maximum benefits from the massage.
5. User Interface
The Ceragem V6’s user interface is a testament to its commitment to user-centric design. The accompanying remote control is intuitive, with clearly labeled buttons and settings. This ensures that users can easily navigate through the device’s features, making the most of their therapeutic sessions.
Is Infrared Heat Massage Legit?
Infrared Massage Therapy: Beyond the Hype
In the vast landscape of therapeutic modalities, infrared massage therapy has emerged as a topic of both intrigue and skepticism. With claims ranging from pain relief to enhanced circulation, it’s essential to sift through the noise and determine the legitimacy of this increasingly popular treatment. Here’s our authoritative take on infrared massage therapy.
The Science Behind Infrared
Infrared is a segment of the natural light spectrum, just beyond the visibility of the human eye. It’s categorized into three types based on wavelengths: near-infrared (NIR), mid-infrared (MIR), and far-infrared (FIR). Of these, FIR has gained significant attention in therapeutic contexts.
When FIR is emitted, it produces a form of radiant heat that can penetrate deep into the body’s tissues. This deep penetration is believed to enhance blood circulation, thereby delivering more oxygen and nutrients to muscle tissues and aiding in the removal of cellular waste.
Clinical Findings and Applications
Several studies have delved into the potential benefits of infrared therapy:
Pain Relief: A study published in the journal Pain Research and Management found that FIR therapy could reduce chronic pain. Participants who underwent FIR therapy reported a significant decrease in pain levels compared to those who did not receive the treatment.
Improved Circulation: Enhanced blood flow is one of the most frequently cited benefits of infrared therapy. By dilating blood vessels and capillaries, FIR can potentially improve circulation, aiding in muscle recovery and the removal of toxins.
Wound Healing: Some research suggests that infrared therapy might accelerate the wound healing process. The increased circulation and oxygenation of the tissue can potentially aid in faster cell regeneration.
Relaxation and Stress Reduction: The warmth generated by FIR can induce relaxation, much like the sensation one feels under the sun on a cold day. This can lead to reduced muscle tension and stress.
Skepticism and Considerations
While there’s a growing body of research supporting the benefits of infrared therapy, skepticism remains in some quarters. Critics argue that more extensive, long-term studies are needed to conclusively establish the therapy’s efficacy.
Additionally, while many users report positive outcomes, infrared therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Individual experiences can vary, and what works for one person might not necessarily work for another.
It’s difficult to provide an exact number of massage chair brands that exist in the United States, as the market is constantly evolving with new brands emerging, older ones merging or discontinuing, and international brands entering the U.S. market.
The list I’ve provided earlier includes many popular and established massage chair brands available in the U.S., but it may not be exhaustive. As of this writing, there were dozens of brands available as seen in the list below.
A recent study published by Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice looked at the effects of mechanical massage provided by massage chairs and binaural beats (brain massage) on mental fatigue and cognitive function in healthy adults. The study found that brain massage (a combination of mechanical massage and binaural beats) was effective in reducing mental fatigue and improving cognitive function, as measured by electroencephalography (EEG) and five cognitive tests. The specific cognitive functions that were found to be improved were sustained attention, verbal short-term and long-term memory, and non-verbal long-term memory. This suggests that massage chairs that provide both mechanical massage and binaural beats may be a helpful tool for reducing mental fatigue and improving cognitive function. However, it is important to note that this is a single study and further research is needed to confirm these findings and to better understand the mechanisms behind the effects of brain massage on mental fatigue and cognitive function.
Massage chairs can provide stress relief in several ways. First, the mechanical massage provided by the chair can help to relax tense muscles, which can help to alleviate physical tension and discomfort in the body. This can help to reduce stress and promote a sense of relaxation. In addition, the act of sitting in a massage chair and taking time to relax can be a form of self-care that helps to reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being. The warmth and vibration of the chair can also contribute to a feeling of relaxation. Finally, some massage chairs may have features such as calming music or ambient lighting, which can further enhance the sense of relaxation and stress relief.
But long before this study was published, there were many well-known benefits of massage chairs. Here are the top 10 that may surprise you.
Relaxation and stress relief
Improved circulation
Massage chairs can improve circulation in a few different ways. The mechanical massage provided by the chair can help to stimulate blood flow by applying pressure to the muscles and tissues of the body. This can help to increase circulation and promote healing in the body. In addition, the warmth and vibration of the chair can also help to increase circulation by dilating the blood vessels and promoting blood flow. Finally, the act of sitting in a massage chair and relaxing can also help to improve circulation by reducing stress and tension in the body, which can help to improve overall blood flow.
Pain relief
Massage stimulates the production of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals produced by the body. In addition, the warmth and vibration of the chair may also help to relieve pain by increasing circulation and promoting healing in the body.
Improved flexibility and range of motion:
The mechanical massage provided by the chair can help to loosen and relax muscles, which can make them more pliable and easier to stretch. The heat therapy function of some massage chairs can also help to relax muscles and improve circulation, which can further aid in flexibility. Additionally, the use of massage chairs can help to reduce muscle tension and stiffness, which can make it easier to move and stretch. Overall, regular use of a massage chair can help to improve flexibility and range of motion in the muscles and joints.
Improved sleep:
There are a few reasons why massage chairs can make you feel tired or sleepy. One reason is that massage can help relax the muscles and reduce tension in the body, which can make you feel more relaxed and calm overall. Massage can also lower heart rate and blood pressure, which can contribute to a feeling of relaxation and sleepiness. In addition, massage can stimulate the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a role in regulating mood and promoting relaxation, which may also contribute to feelings of fatigue or sleepiness following a massage. Finally, the simple act of lying down and resting during a massage may also contribute to feelings of fatigue and sleepiness.
Enhanced immune system function:
Massage therapy including massage chair use may have some benefits for the immune system. Some research suggests that massage may improve immune function by reducing stress and increasing blood flow, which can help the body to fight off infections. However, it’s important to note that massage is not a substitute for proper medical care and should not be used as a primary treatment for serious medical conditions. If you have concerns about your immune system, it’s important to talk to a healthcare professional.
Enhanced digestion:
Yes, massage can potentially help with digestion. Massage can help to relax the muscles of the digestive system, which may help to improve the flow of food through the intestines and ease bloating and discomfort. It can also help to reduce stress, which is a common trigger for digestive issues. In addition, massage can stimulate the production of endorphins, which are chemicals in the body that can help to reduce pain and improve mood. However, it is important to note that massage is not a replacement for medical treatment and if you are experiencing persistent digestive issues, you should consult with a healthcare professional.
Increased energy levels:
Massage can definitely help to increase energy levels. Massage can help to relax the muscles, improve circulation, and reduce stress, all of which can contribute to an increase in energy. In addition, massage can also help to improve sleep, which can also help to increase energy levels. Some people find that they feel more energized after a massage because they feel more relaxed and rejuvenated. It is important to note that the effect of massage on energy levels may vary from person to person, and the type of massage may also play a role. For example, a more invigorating massage such as a sports massage may have a different effect on energy levels than a more relaxing massage such as a Swedish massage.
Improved skin health:
There are several types of massage that can be beneficial for the skin and while a massage chair can’t provide all of them, they can help to a great extent. Here are a few options beyond use of a massage chair:
Facial massage: A facial massage can help to improve circulation and promote the production of collagen, which can improve the appearance of the skin.
Swedish massage: A Swedish massage can be beneficial for the skin because it involves long, smooth strokes that can help to increase circulation and improve the overall appearance of the skin.
Aromatherapy massage: Aromatherapy massage involves the use of essential oils, which can be beneficial for the skin. Some essential oils, such as lavender and chamomile, have calming and soothing properties that can be helpful for people with sensitive skin.
Hot stone massage: Hot stone massage involves the use of heated stones to massage the body. The heat from the stones can help to increase circulation and promote relaxation, which can be beneficial for the skin.
It is important to note that the best massage for the skin will depend on an individual’s skin type and any specific skin concerns they may have. It is always a good idea to consult with a licensed massage therapist or skin care professional to determine the best type of massage for your skin.
10. Eliminate Toxins
Massage Chairs can help eliminate toxins from the body through a process called lymphatic drainage. The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes that help to filter waste products and toxins from the body’s tissues. During a massage, the therapist can use techniques that help to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid, which can help to flush out toxins and other waste products from the body.
In addition, massage can also help to improve circulation, which can help to deliver oxygen and nutrients to the cells and tissues and remove waste products more efficiently. Massage can also stimulate the release of endorphins, which are natural chemicals that can help to improve mood and reduce stress, and this can also help to support the body’s natural detoxification processes.
The Osaki OS-Pro Maestro LE is one of my favorite massage chairs. It has a sleek modern look with an upgraded touchscreen and great Bluetooth speakers for the ultimate in relaxation. I have been focusing on massage chairs more recently because after trying one, I am convinced they will lead to a healthier lifestyle. These chairs just melt away the stress and can rejuvenate you quickly with a button. Yes, they can be expensive but pay for themselves over time versus constantly paying for and going to a massage therapist with inconsistent results. Best of all my massage chair is ready to give me a massage whenever I need it and it’s usually at night at the end of a long day. I have been reading up on other Osaki massage chair reviews and after my research I wanted to try one myself to see if it was the real deal.

Overview of the Osaki Massage Chair
Ordering the Osaki OS-Pro Maestro LE
Yawnder is now an authorized Osaki Dealer. You can actually order this OS-Pro Maestro LE directly through our site. We offer the most competitive price along with free white glove delivery. And trust me, you will want white glove delivery. As you can see from the picture below, this is a big package that is also extremely heavy. I didn’t opt for the white glove delivery because I wanted to assemble it myself. As you can see the massage chair comes in three boxes with the actual chair in the bottom box. If you don’t opt for white glove delivery, it will arrive via freight delivery on a pallet and you will need to bring each box into your house. Thankfully I didn’t have to go up any stairs but it is still a pain, even with a dolly.
I found it best to open the biggest box first and get rid of all the packaging. There’s lots of packaging to keep the chair from getting damaged in transit and it takes a while to unbox but having a clean work area is important because you don’t want to lose anything.
The smaller boxes contain the arms, covers, electronics and instruction manual. Osaki put the instruction manual in a really nice box that is about the size of an iPad box.
Before you do anything, make sure to read the instruction manual and lay out all the pieces. I did find that the instruction manual for setup was lacking in a few areas which I will get into later but overall, setup is pretty straightforward and there aren’t that many steps. It helps to have two people for setup since pieces like the leg extension are heavy and need to be assembled onto the main unit.
Here’s a picture of the main part of the massage chair out of the box. Note that the arms and legs aren’t attached.
I had the hardest time getting the leg rest attached. Mainly because it is very heavy and you have to align it with the connections on the main unit. However once you figure this out the rest is straight forward.
Osaki goes above and beyond with little details like illuminated logos that project onto the floor when you start the massage chair.
The hand massage slots also have little bumps that feel great when the massage is running.

This program will utilize locking of the legs, hips, arms, shoulders using the airbags and then reclining/declining in order to stretch parts of the body. The stretch function helps to perform a light stretch for the calves, hamstrings, shoulders, and waist. So far, this is my favorite setting.
Scraping
This program helps to perform the scraping style massage moving from the inside of the body towards the outside. This helps to direct the blood flow better for a better massage.

This program helps to perform a more pinpointed massage along the back. This massage style helps to focus on certain pressure points in the back to help relieve more stress from the individual.

This program helps to increase the blood flow and relaxation of the user with strong massage techniques. This auto program is stronger than other smooth programs.

There are two options of combined manual such as ‘Kneading & Tapping’, and ‘Kneading & Shiatsu’. The OS-4D Pro Maestro LE offers a combination of manual massage styles for better massage techniques.
L & S Track Technology
The Osaki OS-4D Pro Maestro LE combines both the S and L track technology for an exceptional massage experience. The S-Track rollers will contour the natural curvature of your spine. The L-Track extends from your neck, all the way down past your lower back, and finally wrapping underneath the back of your thighs. The L-Track offers about 50% more massage area than your average S-Track chairs.
Heated Back Roller Massage
The Osaki OS-4D Pro Maestro LE has the most advanced back heating system with a mild infrared heat. The roller itself will heat up at the same time. The heated back roller allows for a far greater surface heating area. Experience the luxury of hot stones warming the muscles from your neck to your hamstrings.
Body Scan Technology
The OS-4D Pro Maestro LE will perform a body scan to map the key areas of the neck and back to ensure the optimal amount of pressure applied during the massage. The scanning technology will detect your shoulders height, which can be re-calibrated once the scan is complete.
Auto Leg Scan & Leg Extend
The ottoman will scan your legs to ensure the optimal leg length for your height. The foot component will extend outwards and then retract inwards. Simply apply pressure with your feet to indicated to the leg scanner that length is at the desired position. remote also allows for one to auto adjust the leg component to either extend or retract to the user’s personal needs.
Full Body Air Massage
There are multiple airbags located throughout the massage chair to offer a full body massage experience. The Maestro 2 offers a total of 32 airbags in the massage chair. Airbags are located at the shoulders, arms, waist and pelvis, and the calf areas. This compression massage helps to continue increasing blood circulation throughout the body to relieve pain and tension.
Foot & Calf Kneading
Underneath the feet there are spinning reflexology rollers to provide an outstanding foot massage. The rollers under the feet will travel along the sides and middle of your feet to provide a more hand on kneading experience. Along with the foot rollers the calf portion will inflate to the appropriate amount of pressure and then initiate a calf kneading massage. Allowing the calf portion to provide a calf kneading motion will increase the blood flow of the legs, helping them to reach a higher level of relaxation.
All New Calf, Bridge, Knee & Heel Massage
On the upper section of the leg rest, the air massagers will rotate in a circular motion to add a new dimension to the calf massage. For the foot portion addition components have been added to stretch and massage the bridge and heel of the foot. The experience is like no other.
Zero Gravity
Inspired by NASA, the Zero Gravity position is the perfect position for ultimate relaxation. When placed in Zero Gravity position, the weight of your back will be virtually supported by the backrest. In this position when the knees are brought above the chest will optimize your blood flow, in order to relax the body more. This will in turn help to maximize the intensity of the massage and reduces the compression along your spine.
Space Saving Design
The Osaki OS-4D Pro Maestro LE only needs 5” from the backrest to the wall, which reduces the amount of space the chair takes up. Space saving design allows you to maximize your living space.

This allows you to listen to your favorite music on Osaki’s highest grade of audio speakers located in the headrest. My Osaki OS-Pro Maestro LE Recommendation
This is the third massage chair I have used on a regular basis and it is by far the most advance and feature-rich. Although I have owned if for about 5 months, I am still learning new features and making adjustments for an optimal massage.
One negative about the Osaki Maestro is that the foot massage part is a little too small for my feet. I wear size 13 shoes and I it is a little tight. If you are a taller person like me or just have big feet, check out the Osaki Highpointe which was just released. It is considerably more but has an open foot massager which is great.
If I were to do an Osaki massage chair comparison against the X77 massage chair from XChair, I would say that the Osaki gives a more intense massage with many more preset programs and features and of course the touchscreen. Both have the zero gravity seating, entire body massage and heat therapy but Osaki commands a premium because of that extra intense massage you will get.
There’s no questioning the quality of this massage chair. As of this writing, Costco currently sells the Osaki OS-4D Pro Maestro but keep in mind that this is an older version with a handheld remote instead of a touchpad. Costco is selling their version of the Osaki Maestro for $6,899. The Yawnder San Diego store is a dealer of the Osaki Massage chairs and is currently selling the updated OS-Pro Maestro LE for an unbeatable price with a 30-day trial period. Email us at [email protected] for a quote.
The latest edition of the Osaki Pro Maestro is the Osaki OS-4D Pro Maestro 2.0 LE, which retails at $16,144.00. It has a 4D roller mechanism that can move up, down, back, and forth, as well as side to side. It also has heated rollers, an SL-track, 8 auto programs, and 6 massage styles.
