Brentwood Home Cedar Mattress Review: Archived Original Construction Restored
The Cedar was discontinued, but the original review contained extensive construction detail that was more useful than the short replacement notice.
Natural-material hybrid
The Cedar Luxe combined organic cotton, wool, latex and individually wrapped coils in a hand-tufted construction. The optional topper added additional latex and natural-fiber cushioning.
Zoned support
The mattress used zoned latex and a pocketed-coil system with firmer lumbar and perimeter support. That created a more structured feel than an all-latex mattress.
Plush but responsive
In the original hands-on review, the Cedar felt relatively plush while retaining the quick response of latex and coils. It was designed to contour without the slow recovery of memory foam.
Why it is archived
Brentwood Home discontinued the Cedar as its lineup evolved. The page is kept as a historical review rather than redirecting all of its original content into a different mattress.
Current-shopping note
The Cedar is discontinued. Current shoppers looking for a similar natural-material hybrid should compare today’s Brentwood Home/Avocado offerings, but should not assume they are identical to the Cedar.
