Why returns matter for the environment
Large-item returns create real environmental impact. Pickup trucks, warehousing, cleaning, and processing all add emissions. Returned mattresses and large items can also be difficult to resell because of hygiene requirements and product condition, which increases the chance that an item is recycled or discarded.
Before you submit a return request, please contact us. We will try to solve comfort and support issues with a practical,
lower-waste option first, when appropriate, such as fit guidance, foundation checks, or a comfort adjustment.
- We encourage careful selection to reduce waste, including in-store testing and phone guidance.
- Return and processing fees help cover reverse logistics and responsible handling.
- When a return is approved, we prioritize donation or recycling options where feasible and allowed.
Return and exchange quick guide
- One lifetime mattress trial return per customer.
- Refund equals mattress price minus a 200 return and processing fee per mattress.
- Refunds, minus any applicable fees, are processed only after the item has been returned and received by Yawnder.
- Exchanges must be for a mattress of equal or greater value. Downgrades are not permitted.
- Replacement mattresses are final sale.
- Inspection required within 14 days of delivery.
- Return requests must be submitted using the return request form on this page.
- Massage chairs may be returned subject to a 25 percent restocking fee.
- Adjustable bases, frames, bedding, pillows, toppers, protectors, floor models, and open box items are final sale.
How to request a return or exchange
All return and exchange requests must be submitted using the return request form.
- Submitting the form is a request only and does not guarantee approval.
- Eligibility is reviewed after submission based on the return policy and order details.
- Written approval is required before any return is scheduled.
- To reduce unnecessary transport and waste, we may ask a few quick questions first to confirm fit and setup.
Refund timing
Refunds, minus any applicable fees, are processed only after the item has been returned and received by Yawnder. Refund timing may vary based on the original payment method.
Conditions for a valid mattress return
- Mattress must be clean, sanitary, and free of stains or odors.
- Waterproof mattress protector must have been used at all times.
- Original law tag must remain attached.
- Items returned in unsanitary condition may be rejected due to health and safety requirements.
Massage chair returns
Massage chairs are not part of the mattress sleep trial.
- Return requests must be submitted using the return request form.
- Written approval is required.
- A 25 percent restocking fee applies.
- Item must be returned in like new condition with original packaging.
- Refunds are processed only after the item has been returned and received by Yawnder.
