Yawnder return and exchange policy

Your trial, how returns work, and California-compliant removal and recycling.

Mattress satisfaction trial

Your trial length depends on the brand you choose and ranges from 100 days to 365 days. Please confirm the exact trial at purchase.

Mandatory adjustment period

Please sleep on your new mattress for at least 30 nights. If you are not satisfied after 30 nights, you may start a return or exchange any time before your trial ends.

How to start a return or exchange

Contact us and we will arrange pickup with Yawnder or a trusted partner.

Your options after 30 nights

Option 1 Return for refund

Return the mattress for a refund minus a $150 return and restocking fee. This supports pickup, transport, and processing.

Option 2 Exchange for a different mattress

We waive the $150 fee when you select a different mattress from our store. You cover any price difference.

The second mattress is a final sale and does not include a second trial. Limit 1 exchange per household.

White Glove delivery and recycling fees from the original order are not refundable.

Conditions for a valid return

  • Mattress must be clean and sanitary.
  • No stains, damage, or unsanitary conditions. A waterproof protector is strongly recommended.
  • The original law tag must remain attached. Removing the tag voids the trial.

Items that are final sale and not returnable

Adjustable bed bases and power bases (non-fabric frames)
Mattress toppers
Bed frames and headboards
Bedding such as sheets and comforters
Pillows and mattress protectors
Comfort layer inserts
Consumables such as candles, soaps, and diffusers
Floor models and open box mattresses

Mattress removal and recycling in California

🚛 When we deliver a new mattress or fabric-covered foundation in California, we offer no-charge take-back of your used mattress and/or box spring if you request it at purchase.

  • 1:1 take-back: we pick up up to the same number of used units as the number of new mattresses and/or box springs delivered.
  • Timing: pickup may occur at delivery or within 30 days.
  • Health and safety: we may refuse items that are wet, heavily soiled, infested, or otherwise unsafe.
  • Common carrier shipments: if your order ships via common carrier, the free take-back requirement does not apply. We will provide recycling options.
  • What is eligible: traditional mattresses and box springs/foundations that are covered in fabric. In California, futon mattresses are also eligible.
  • What is not eligible: metal power bases or adjustable bases that are not covered in fabric.
  • Find drop-off sites and program info at ByeByeMattress.com.

A state recycling fee is collected at checkout for each mattress or foundation in California and remitted to the Mattress Recycling Council.

Adjustable bed delivery and removal

🛏️ White Glove delivery and setup $150 flat fee

  • In-home delivery, unboxing, and full setup.
  • We remove and dispose of packaging.
  • This fee is not refundable once service is scheduled.

Adjustable bed base removal (outside the CA program) $250 additional

  • Added to the White Glove delivery fee.
  • Includes disassembly, removal, and responsible disposal of your existing power base.
  • If your base is a fabric-covered foundation that meets the program definition, we will process it under the no-charge take-back instead.

Examples

  • New adjustable bed delivered and set up: $150.
  • New adjustable bed delivered, set up, and old power base removed: $400 total.
  • New foundation purchased with old fabric-covered foundation removed under CA program: free, plus any standard delivery fee if applicable.
  • Removal is limited to 1 item per order: mattress, foundation, or adjustable bed base.
  • All removal requests must be scheduled at purchase.
  • All delivery and removal fees are not refundable.
