The S-Bed by Brentwood Home is a solid choice for someone looking for a mattress that incorporates natural materials at a reasonable price. I previously reviewed the Bamboo Gel 13 from Brentwood Home and was pleasantly surprised. These are two distinctly different mattresses but both deliver on quality.
Ordering
As I mentioned in the other Brentwood review, you can purchase this mattress from Amazon but if you purchase directly it is easier to deal with any returns. Â Brentwood Home has a 120-night guarantee where if you aren’t happy with the mattress within that time frame they will arrange to have it shipped back for free with a full refund. Trying to coordinate this through Amazon is a headache because their default is 30 days and the customer service reps get confused with anything that varies from that.
Brentwood Home price…
One advantage of ordering through Amazon is that it is  available for Prime so you can get it in 2 days. However, if you go direct through Brentwood Home you get the savings and it will arrive in about 5-7 days.
Findings
The S-Bed consists of 4 layers. Most of the mattresses I review have 3 layers. It is on the firmer end of the spectrum mainly due to the layer of latex and the top layer of wool.
Here’s  cross section of the S Bed
Since this mattress has latex, it is going to have more bounce than an all foam mattress.
Here are the results from my accelometer.
Below you can get a sense of how the layers react…
Â
As you can see the foam layer directly beneath the top latex layer is the most conforming. So while the mattress is firm given the latex, it also sinks in a little due to the foam.
The S Bed sleeps cool too. The top latex layer has holes like swiss cheese, typical of most latex layers, which helps the mattress breathe.
Conclusion
The S Bed will give you more of a traditional latex feel than a memory foam feel.  It has a little bit of bounce but not as much as an all latex. You won’t be sinking into this mattress much either. A big bonus of over many of the other brands is the natural wool cover. There is a bit of off gassing with this mattress that will go away after about 2 days.

What firmness level was the S-Bed that you tested in the videos? Thanks!
Thanks for the quick reply. The S-Bed comes in Firm, Medium, and Plush, do you know which version you had?
It was the medium
Been trying to decide between this bed and the Leesa bed. How would you compare the two? And the Brooklyn bedding version. Thanks
