Molecule Hybrid Mattress Review: Original Soft Hybrid Performance Restored
The Molecule Hybrid page had retained only part of a much more complete review. This version restores the original side-sleeper, sinkage and hybrid-performance context.
How it differed from Molecule foam
The Hybrid used Molecule’s breathable foam approach over pocketed coils, adding more contouring support and bounce than the brand’s all-foam beds.
Soft, side-sleeper-oriented feel
The reviewed Hybrid skewed soft and allowed the shoulder and hip to settle into the comfort system. That made it notably more side-sleeper-friendly than firmer hybrids.
Sinkage and pressure relief
Original testing showed meaningful compression into the upper foams while the coils prevented the mattress from feeling unsupported underneath.
Motion isolation
Pocketed coils moved independently and the foam layers absorbed impact, so partner motion was better controlled than on a traditional connected-coil mattress.
Cooling
The combination of more open foam and airflow through the coil unit made the design less heat-trapping than a dense, thick all-foam mattress.
